Great lesson, thanks. And I love that run at the end which I will master very quickly now that you've shown me how to do it. Very Tatum-esque, and no one did them better than Art.
Wow...thank you, thank you!!!! Your videos are so awesome. Will add Misbehavin’ to my notebook of songs and absorb as much as I can of your brilliant analysis. Your musical generosity is practically saint-like.
Thanks again Tony. Also a great tune to Gypsy Jazzafy (sorry invented a word there:)) The orchestral 4 s (4 to the flour) but more staccato and sounds similar to the stride style i noticed too the 'boom chick' constant. I.e Bass then chord but on guitar even better as you can get more percussion sounds.
Hi Tony thanks for sharing your videos, last week in one night i was watching you videos for 2 Hours or more i like Ain't Misbehavin have you not played the song As Time Goes By yet with Tutorial.
I've got a question. bar 3 melody: D while Eb7,(sounds really weird) I would assume Dm7b5 G7+5 going to Abmaj7 as an Illusory ending or TruckSchluB, okay I see you didn't play the D very smart move, and you did the same like Gaugmented nice!
The sus4 of Bb7sus4 sounds quite inappropriate to me. Is there any advanced musician that could explain what am I doing wrong? I played it Bb Eb (F) Ab with left hand.
What I also found out was, the melodie during 5th bar Abmaj7 F Eb C Ab=in the original, therefor I checked the original recording...It is maybe very much a detail...
Such an underrated channel
Absolutely !!!
Thank you, Tony! You are a rare find here on TH-cam

🎹LOVE THE SONG AND LYRICS R OFF THE CHARTS p.s.🎹is GREAT performance,4 on the FLOOR,♡major 7
I see a comparison with: Blue Moon(A-part) As Time goes by(the Bridge)the Melodie and the III step I guess...

Would a bass player follow the same chords?
Would playing stride work if you're playing with a double bassist, or would all the bass notes get in the way?
It works but you've got to be playing the same note. You've got to work it out in advance
