Your acorns reminded me of my oldest Granddaughter. When she was a little more than a year old, we had a huge Red Oak tree in our front yard. We finally let her out in the yard. Oh how she squealed. She quickly discovered the acorns among all the oak leaves. She brought them to me, & handed them to me 1 at a time, as if they were pure gold. Alas she's 13 now, but I will never forget, the great joy she had finding those acorns.
Well I guess instead of "like a rat up a drainpipe." it's "like a rat on a clay pipe." Good to hear queen of the half pipes. Another fabulous video ladies, keep them coming.
Love the pipes! I swear I thought I saw you walk past a pipe with the bowl and stem attached! Hopefully my eyes deceived me! You got some very cool finds!
"You've got mud on your face You big disgrace!" Fleur the Queen fan! I'm imagining Fleur at a Queen concert back in the day. Wonderful finds this week, and I loved the pipe exhibition. I think the writing on the pipe stem was "345 Caledonia (road?)". And the best birthday wishes for Kate. And good luck on her upcoming travels!
The tiny 1/2 plate would make a pretty fireplace screen for the doll's house. Thanks for taking us along on another fun adventure. This was like a muddy version of "Where's Waldo"!!😀 Stay well.
Kate, I like what you said about shoes being spiritually connected to the person who wore them. I have my dad's slippers from when he was alive and other family members often want to see them or even try them on to have some spiritual connection with him. I also have (Somewhere) a pair medieval children's shoes that I bought in Chichester many years ago. The shoes appealed to me more than any of the other items in the shop because they were a personal item to their owner. Whoever had the shoes that you found the sole to couldn't have been well off as they had worn a hole in the sole itself.
I’ve never thought about this but how thought provoking it is! We still have my beloved dads shoes perfectly polished near the back door of their house 🙏🏼 we lost him very abruptly 3 years ago. I drive his car daily, he’s still here keeping me safe to this day in the form of my lovely little rav4 he loved so much ❤️ I often talk to him whilst driving.
Fleur and Kate, I know you both both have a hard time believing all the love ❤ that you receive through the comments, but please belive me, it is real and genuine! No matter how many great comments, likes, Subscribers you get, you remain so genuine and humble regarding your successes. Really, what's not to love?! 🙂
The rats on the pipe stems made me think of the saying about rats running up drain pipes. It made me wonder if it was a Victorian joke. When you were doing the round up I kept falling asleep because your voices are so soothing,so there were quite a few rewinds. Thank you for taking us with you to Gobbie (Gobby and all the other names) beach . Happy nearly birthday,Kate. February can be beautiful on a dry day when the sun comes out and it’s warmer than freezing cold.
I like your “We will rock you,” by Queen reference there Fleur, a classic if ever there was one. What a fantastic collection of pipes you have! I think I’ve found maybe 5 or 6 different kinds but nothing as lovely as your hoof, and claw, pipes!
Hope we ALL have a good day on Kate’s birthday!!! Can’t wait to see the mudlarking finds next week!!! Loved seeing the pipe collection. H different kinds are so intricate and intriguing.
Second comment. Didn’t realize you were showing your pipe collection. It it’s fantastic. I get a kick out of the rat pipe. I love the acorn pipes. They are beautiful. Thank you for showing the collection. Xxx
Regarding your mystery hair! I think it might have been used to make hair jewelry- like a watch chain. You would use something to keep the hair from tangling in storage, and another use would be to add weight (like a lace bobin) while weaving the cord.
Those half pipes you could glue them on a piece of board with the broken side to the board and make them as a flower pot with tiny flowers sticking out of them. Just giving you a ideal on how you could use them.
I think they are Pacers for ceramic tile. I love your show. You're so welcoming and educational, I feel like I've been mudlarking with you. That's saying slot since I'm handicapped. Continue to Stay excited, curious and as a child.
Happy birthday Kate! Some wonderful finds on this trip. The hair wrapped around the stem was so amazing, to know that it had been there and lasted so long. The imagination soars wondering who it belonged to… Thank you both for sharing!!💕🌸
I think the "lion" looks more like camel too. Nice pipes Kate. Always amazed how many tiny things you two find. Looking forward to a new crafting video.
“Mud on your face, you big disgrace” ….love it Fleur !! 🎶😂 What an epic day ladies. As always, I’m so so happy for you both !! 🥰 Happy Valentine’s Day. 💕
I absolutely love how you express your love and passion for your finds. Your voice is so sweet and kind. Your curiosity is infectious and joyful. Thank you for sharing your heart.
Ladies, if I could bottle your enthusiasm, I Could be Rich !!! I love your honest emotions. What you see, is what you get ! If only the world perscibed to the same ideals. It's sad that so many people think so little of themselves that they try to show the world a completely different image of themselves. Thank you for being you. lovely ladies.
Wonderful fun watching you all. Just love your family and Sonny Cat! I want to wish Kate a happy birthday! I understand your is February 13th. It is my birthday as well. Have a wonderful celebration with your family. Best wishes, Eileen Ahern California, USA
Lovely finds, I did like the way the lion had been worn down soft and beautiful. Can't believe you both found the triangular pieces, I think they may have been for mosaic, but on a wall or something in an ornate bathroom. Whatever they are they're a lovely looking enigma. The pipes were great, and I thought the little white jug was a super find, still in one piece. Happy dolls. Have a lovely birthday Kate.
Fleur, did you see what looked like a gold coin very close to where you found your lemonade stopper?? It was to the right of it sticking half-way out of the earth!!
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlersFleur, oh thank goodness!! From the way I saw it, I would have never have guessed it to be a shell 🐚. I'm really glad and thank you for your kindness in letting me know! All the best.
I laughed when you said, "Mud on your face, you big disgrace." You too are so much fun to watch. Love all your treasures. That tiny white pitcher is the best!
Kate, I appreciate you carefully pressing the unwanted items back into the mud from whence they’ve come to preserve them for another finder. Thank you for that. ♥️I love watching you and your mom and then hearing the little things you talk about. Maybe you should get Walkie Talkies?
I binge watch you two brilliant women🤩👍 I am old and ill. The love and respect between mother and daughter is so refreshing❤.I only wish I could be with my daughter more.😿 The way the two of you work with love and joy, comes through my computer to spread joy to me too. Thank you
I love playing jacks when I was young but somehow they slowly disappeared, as in Momma saying ‘If you leave them out and I step on one, in the trash it goes!’ Well they were made of aluminum or something like that so they did hurt if you stepped on one. This beach is so much fun but what makes it fun is the reaction you girls give when you find something! Please stay safe and be careful! ❤️
Wow I could watch you both all day, your pipe collection is fantastic especially the "thorny" one😂 thank you for taking us along your wee journey it's really enjoyable ❤️
Wow, Kate is an honorary pipe queen on this one; you are giving Nicola a run for her money! 👏 she would be so proud! Love the hoof pipe stem found by mama Fleur as well! Be well from Washington state USA ❤

Absolutely wonderful mudlark, I am so happy for you both. I did not realize that the two of you have found so many beautiful pipe bowls. Thanks so much for showing us all your pipe bowls, quite a collection. Love the alley gobs too. Be safe, have fun till next time.
Knocking it out of the park...AGAIN! That pipe collection is really wonderful! Great lark! Happy early Birthday, Kate! Want to trade a gobby for an arrowhead- or Native American Indian pottery shard? Let me know!
Gobby beach is an awesome name, and truly earned when you find that many there! Love the hoof pipe, and the small tour at the end, the decorative pipes are so imaginative...
the small triangle things look like roofs from a very old monopoly set however they are green and wooden unlike the modern versions maybe they are from that? love the pipes and that fancy leg!
Bovril, pipe flash, and the very neat little gray triangle bits... I have seen something like those in a cutlery factory, there were green ones too. They seem to be like glass, but a very tough material. I recall they are somehow used in either pickling or tempering the metal. Hope that is a useful clue.
This place is so satisfying to go hunting. Hidden pieces reviled from the mud. Maybe not as easy to find, but when your "tuned in", as you two are after a while, you know there's going to be some things which turn out to be pretty handsome or rather beautiful. All are interesting finds. Very enjoyable and very relaxing then exciting to watch. I loved that lion by the way and I long to see that poor monkey, able to get up to mischief again, with some legs. 🐒 🙈 🙊 🐵 🙉 Yep a great haul of interesting finds. That hair thing... 😬 weird, but a very inventive use for wasted pipe stems. Recycling of its day. Xx
❤❤❤ so much love for all of your wonderful treasures 🥰 thank you so much for taking us with you. And wow, what an awesome pipe collection 👌❤😊 Happy Birthday Kate 🎂 🥳
Intriguing variety of pipe bowls and great variations in design. The color green produced the goods with that shiny gobby and tiny bottle. Fleur, your little dolls jug was a lovely find. Kate, keep safe and have fun on your trip, you might find a spot for a little mud lark! Sue and Ian, Australia
Happy Birthday Kate! I've not found an alley gob on any of my mudlarking walks yet -hope to one day, I did find a hoof spur on a pipe stem last year at Battersea though. I think I've worked out where gobby beach is as I worked close by until recently but I could be wrong! Lovely finds as always!
I see that as you find so many beautiful treasures, you probably don't want to leave to go home. There's got to be so much more! But then if you haven't found anything, you probably don't want to leave until you do find something good. Dilemma! The hair on the pipe stem...I immediately thought about someone making one of those Victorian hair decorations in memory of a dear one who's passed away. Thinking about how I work tiny things, it occured to me that I would have curled some hair to work in my design. Maybe they did too? Such a tiny curl would fit in those designs and of course it would be much easier to curl this way since the hair was loose from the head. Great video!😊
Wow! Do many pipe bowls and alley gobs! I loved that little broken bottle covered in text. Would make a great cut down! That little jug is great for the doll's house too. Glad you both had another great lark!
Kate, your top 3 pipes are my favs, too. The intricacy of the acorn, wicker, and pinecone/fish scales are amazing. Love your new hoof pipe. Happy Early Birthday, Kate!!
Love the turquoise mitts. It looks like they are made with homespun yarn. I know are too busy to answer, but I am going to think of them as being of spun and knit by you. It was a visually beautiful and tranquil film. Thank you. God bless you and your family.
Your acorns reminded me of my oldest Granddaughter. When she was a little more than a year old, we had a huge Red Oak tree in our front yard. We finally let her out in the yard. Oh how she squealed. Thanks so much! 😊
Kate, your top 3 pipes are my favs, too. The intricacy of the acorn, wicker, and pinecone/fish scales are amazing. Love your new hoof pipe. Happy Early Birthday, Kate!!
Gobbies!! ❤️
Love the turquoise mitts. It looks like they are made with homespun yarn. I know are too busy to answer, but I am going to think of them as being of spun and knit by you. It was a visually beautiful and tranquil film. Thank you. God bless you and your family.
I did knit them but did not spin them (would be fun to try though) :) :)
