I've been playing for over a year and never was able to understand gear especially with how overwhelming it is to find info. But this video makes me want to come back definitely the most indepth one on this topic and would like to thank you good sir for job well done on the video.
This guide is great! Imo the hard part about gearing units is knowing exactly what stats they want, since there's not really a place that tells you everything about a unit ya know. But regardless, I did learn a lot from this even as a ~8 month casual player

Lower level gears can potentially be useful for filling out a set (like maybe immunity), since wyvern only gives you three sets

For the lab part if you have extra lab entry, you can use up the token and it will reset the fights, I used it until I can get to huche without any fights

hi do you consider using green or common equipments for fodder or selling? bcos consider that you want to enhance using charm, personally I literally find myself really lack of charms to enhance all the potential gears that I have.

Finally a guide that doesn't repeat the word speed every minute and saying speed being the best stat in game.
I'm at a point where I have a good feeling on if a gear piece is good or not. .... Problem is I rarely get them to begin with. Like finding a unicorn. I'll know it when I see it, but I'll never see it.
I agree speed isn't everything (I have a single speed contester), but This speed race is even starting to affect PvE to some extent. Monsters are casually hitting 200 spd now (with more stuff like exp 4 coming that's likely faster) so it almost makes speedy anything (except nukes and certain bruisers with cr support) almost required to keep your team alive if you're not trying to oneshot. It means spd boots are almost required now and spd set heavily biased towards.
Which feels overly restricting to I feel should be a very flexible gearing system, narrowing down 16 diverse sets to like, 3 outside of some exotic heroes. Kind of a bummer.
Yup good gear is definetly hard to come by :(

Ah as someone who plays Summonerswar i thought speed played a major part like in Summonerswar where speed is one of the major stats you need to have a good roll into along with other stats

That is how many levels you have enhanced the gear! all gear can be enhanced to +15

You can't Penta roll 1 speed because epic gear cannot roll 1 speed correct? I heard that recently on someone's account review though I can't recall which one. lol

That is a possibility someone mentioned the chart I used is a bit outdated. I know personally I have gotten 2 rolls but cannot remember the last 1 roll
The problem with this game is that PVP content leans on speed stat harder to give debuf/cleave comps a 1st turn advantage. Speed isn't needed in PVE, which makes other gear/stats great for that purpose.
On the flip side, pvp is really the only endgame in e7 so you are going to want to roll tons of speed gear anyways and will end up with pve viable pieces along the way. A few of the other sets are good in pve but you won't have tons of that gear unless you are splitting your limited energy between wyvern and other hunts.
should I only care abt this once I am close to max lv and not like 50?
You should start thinking about these things now but once you start wanting to be more competitive it will matter more!
you should clear the laby stage until that battle doesnt spawn. it will save allot of time in the long run.
I believe I 100% cleared it but the mobs reset I thought :(
@@kingblair2415 they do reset, but its possible to get a seed where that battle doesnt spawn if you just clear it over and over until you get it.

- crit damage maximum is ONLY 7% for 85 gear.
- helmet main stat is ONLY hp

Also big reminder: the level 85 Lifesteal from abyss (Gaveleet set) cannot be reforged. The gear that has wyvern gear pic with Lifesteal.

okay, overall great vid. but please please please dont lie to ppl. you do not have enough 23+ spd rings (REGARDLESS of main stat, set, or other rolls). no one does. telling people to not roll even a SINGLE piece of gear with speed (besides boots of course) is straight-up horrible advice, even if its heroic and base 1 spd. that 1 base speed heroic can roll 16+ spd to get 17 then be forged to get another 4 to get 21 spd. not a single player in this game should say "no thanks" to a chance to get a 21+ spd gear.
even the goddamn e7 world champion STILL rolls heroic gear with speed and he is a giga kraken.
people giving advice like this is why many ppl dont have 300+ spd units and especially why newbs get depressed at their speed when starting out. unless u have a lot of 14+ spd turn 1 gear, you should even be rolling 85 blue gear with like 3+ spd until u do. gold is trivial once u get to w13 so only resources you are "wasting" by investing into temporarily but better than you currently have type gear are charms and fodder gear basically. and as we all know, most gear leveling isnt even done with charms anymore.
for new players: please please please roll gear with speed! its how many of those people you see on reddit got to champion or challenger or whatever in X months. you need to be extremely lenient with speed gear or else u will basically never get good spd gear/enough of it.
I didn’t intent for it to mean “don’t roll any speed” but to not ONLY care for spee. I hope that’s not what it came off as but some people will ONLY focus on speed and not look at other stats.

but yeah i agree, speed isnt everything. however, it is extremely important, enables a completely different way to play the game (cleave vs bruiser/tanking it out), is what many ppl want to do bc its more fun/fast, and is probably the most complained about topic for new players. you will never find a new player complaining about lack of attack gear or whatever, only speed. and the reason for that is because ppl are just WAY WAY too selective with their speed gear. an initiator only really needs speed and some effectiveness depending on who it is. having a 260 spd dmg/tank high efficiency basar/aux lots/shadow rose/flan/iseria/etc vs a 300 something spd (with basically no other stats) is a night and day difference imo in usefulness. so imo until u have like at least idk 3 sets of very high speed gear (even if super trash subs/set), id be super lenient with speed gear. only after that would i also likely stop rolling blue gear.
it hurts me whenever i see some longtime player get rid of heroic/epic gear just bc it has eff res, flat stats, or bad sets. they then do account reviews and are impressed by ppl with 290+ spd units even tho they willingly get rid of the gear that could let them reach the same or even higher heights.
@@REIwAlexY that’s a valid point that you bring up. Speed chasing is something that I know people do and my high end cleave friends tell me if it’s speed set and it has speed they will roll.
I normally do what you mentioned for speed immunity and crit sets, but very rarely for other sets just since I don’t care as much for speed on those sets aside from those since it’s not going on an initiator or turn one unit.
@@kingblair2415 yeah for opener hero speed is needed but for buiser ?? Dont need too much speed even martial artist ken now gow his cr push 20% for crit hit and that is bruiser and cleave is have their pro and cons..

This is the reason why epic7 gearing is probably one of the worst ive seen. Even counter side is better at it. Genshin is by far the best ive seen its its only needs mora and artifact piece. . And with original resin you get 6 pieces of artifact to roll with. In epic7 you need 2 currency . Charm + gold. Both of which is scarce. And crafting gear is rng(quality ) + needs x number of runs to get 1 piece depends on rng 2 maybe 3. . This experience alone is something new players will not enjoy unless they are masochist. And this gear system has little no improvements from years ago.. it needs a serious rework and sg does not intend to change it soon. We need atleast guaranteed epic piece per run at 13 hunts but prolly will not happen. Oh well. Im tired of recruiting people who cant stay on this game. Might as well merge all the servers.
First of genshin is a pve based game so a bit better gear than previous doesn't matter much.
Also in e7 you most of the stats have real value so you can have multiple synergizing gear pieces, in genshin only crit is valuable, atk% has a huge diminshing returns and most of the other stats are useless except elemental/phy dmg% cups.
So at the end only thing to improve gear in genshin is to look for crit necks woth crit subs which also needs to be rolled all into crit and they all should be rolled high and cups same with crit stats.
So at the end you get like 1 piece per 2 months fo such value if you really want a improvement in your gears.
This is caused by genshin's only content and hardest content being abyss which is time gated, so only dps stats viz. Crit not( even atk%) are valuable coz faster you clear more stars you get.
And that's the fundamental difference between genshin and e7, where e7 stats gears and heroes have more depth and the game has pvp where actual stat difference matters, and almost all stats are viable.
@@Steve-uf5yf here we go again epic7 phd with no life. First of all you are wrong in bunch of things. What i talked about is specifically about "GEARING SYSTEM". . . Which is not even the focus of your argument. .and i didnt even add that we need to pay gold to equip an equipment in epic7. Then 2nd about stats. Genshin has the system called elemental reactions that even with no crit you will still deal enough damage to actually clear abyss with no crit at all which noobs dont know at all. (This lands 100% no innate 15% lmao) if you are a noob you will prolly follow "damage per screenshot" philosophy and not the easy way of playing genshin. Its one of the reason why genshin is flexible in building characters. Crit and cdmage is only important for Physical builds character coz theres only few ways of boosting their damage. But with elemental builds. There is usually 2 reactions you can do and even with no crit or crit dmage will deal enough damage to kill stuff fast. To say only crit is valuable stat is like saying elemental reactions doesnt exist. To say atk has diminishing returns is ridiculous as the above. In epic7 , For a character like carrot. Everyone can build her. But not everyone can make a beast carrot. High atk high speed effectiveness + tanky enough to not die. Non whales can make a decent carrot but only whales are capable of building a BEAST carrot. And this where the flaw of epic7 gearing is. You need multiple stats to actually make something work decent enough for pvp. And there is not enough gear and currency to actually get decent gear. As much as i would like to argue with you. Epic 7 gearing system needs a rework is a fact known by many. Innate 15% is much more deep that hero depth you are talking about. When OP SIG can just finish the whole team is as much hero depth you gonna get gameplay wise. Have a life dude. This is just a game and not real life.
