The most confusing thing in Norway. Thank you Arvind for explaining this concept. And the most important thing you told is that our holiday pay was always on our salary slip but because salary slips are in Norwegian i was not aware of it. So thank you so much for this vlog.
Thanks for the video , Informative as always :)👍 However, from what I understand June's salary = Monthly salary for June + Feriepenger earned last year - 25 day holiday. So usually when you start the first year since feriepenger is zero, you end up getting Monthly salary for June + 0 Feriepenger - 25 day holiday, which is very less. When I started the first year, I was given a kind option to opt for lesser than 25 off days in the year. I opted for only 5. As a result I got Monthly salary for June + 0 feriepenger - 5 day holiday which was not too bad.
Thanks for the helpful video! I think it would be even greater if you and Shailja could make a video about how you deal with your TH-cam income/taxes (which I assume you do)! It'd help foreigners who hope to freelance in Norway.
Arvind I have one question when you say you will not be paid in the month of June you mean "One will not receive holiday pay" but he or she will still receive legit salary right?
I wanted to move to Norway until I found out about feriepenger... I can't imagine not having any paid time off for a year and having to deal with all the hassle
Can I just ask as an example.. If I started a new job in July and decided to take 1 week off in September, they will deduct one week of pay from my pay?
Good video Arvind, one quetion. How they calculate annual salary, the anual salary they put to your contract. If you receive per month lets say 10. Per year they write you in contract 120 or 110? And how many hours per week they work, if its regular work from Mon - Fri, 37,5hours or 40,hours? Thanx )))
Can i study MS data science if my bachelor are in Mechanical engineering if I have data science certification? If yes... How can I get free education? If not... What would be my options? Please reply.
@@awaaragamer8821 ok any other options like... Computational mechanics? So I can use my data science skills too.... But I don't have mechanical engineering working experience
@@awaaragamer8821 I can only show certification in data science nothing else. And computational mechanics is mechanical engineer department course which also involve machine learning. That's why I am looking for that options too to enter.

But if you get payment when you quit, it is taxed 50%. And if they get this paid next year it wont be taxed.
Much needed video

Try for courses related to computational mechanics, such as one on UiO. Unfortunately you cannot apply for MS in DS.
