Thank you Dr. Arnold for your efforts in communicating why the KJV is the only authentic Word of God. I wish more would join you in teaching against the use of these other translations. I don't claim to be any more spiritual than anyone else, but it was the Holy Spirit that first taught me this about 3 years ago. I recognized subtle contradictions between the KJV and other translations by the "unction" of the Spirit and began to use only the KJ. I believe before we recognize any truth at all from God's Word, we have to be in total submission to His guidance into truth and not looking for ways to support our own idea of it. Basically, we have to study scripture from our "new man", otherwise it's the same as trying to understand from our flesh which is impossible. I think too many are trying to determine truth of scripture through whatever doctrine they have chosen instead of allowing the Spirit to guide them through the Word, and how can they do that unless they are using *His* true Word?
Very strange that he says we shouldn’t go searching for false teachers, then he does exactly the same thing he says is wrong. And he slanders the recent translators as not believing the Bible. He doesn’t prove it, he merely accuses.
I have heard that there were no such manuscripts that translated the same way that the KJV is and that there are more accurate manuscripts than the one used by the KJV translators.
The apochrapha that was in the king James was not the apochrapha people talk about today. It does not contain the gospel of Thomas or Mary. It was considered historical, not doctrine. I read it and actually like it. I avoided it for many years because of what others taught of it. But now I don't see what they said was truth.
Evangelicals have newer translations from the textus receptus such as nkjv and mev which are probably more accurate than the kjv and easier to read than both the kjv and shakespeare which have difficult archaic english.
No, the NKJV isn't from the Textus Receptus. It is a watered down version. The KJV 1611 is taken directly from the Textus Receptus. It isn't a watered down version. English for "repent" is "to feel remorse" but the Biblical definition in the Greek in the New Testament is "metanoia" which means, "a change of mind", having nothing to do with feeling sorry for anything.
