I also grew up watching Benny Hill. I used to watch it with my granny after Sanford & Son haha.
I feel blessed to have been brought up on amazing comedy, amazing hip hop, and amazing art in general.
There's so many clever lines that I love and all of his voices etc etc. Benny Hill, Mr Bean, Sanford & Son, Gomer Pile, I love Lucy, Golden Girls, etc...my granny and I used to sit up and laugh. I couldn't have been more than 4 y/o (b. 1985) but I remember it all vivdly. Humble beginnings haha.

Such a talented man with a greater troupe and also a very educated and learned person as he seems on the documentary about his life. I hope some day somebody makes a movie about his life, it would be very interesting.

i can't tell if you're being sarcastic as Benny Hill is a parody to other comics such as Python, Kenny Everett
. No you can't find lame bland predictable skits but you can find genius' like Spike Milligan and his cohorts. Benny's there for chubby old men chasing young topless girls - comedy genius

I worked with a lady who used to work in a coffee shop at the airport in Australia. She would often see Benny Hill arriving to visit relatives in Australia 🇦🇺 . She said he was telling jokes for the whole conversation. Making fun of anything that was said. He died with 50 million pounds that was distributed to his relatives, maybe the ones he visited here.

When I think if, Benny Hill was still alive today, they wouldn't let him put on this show. They would probably say that it's too sexist and racist.
But, they won't ever say it was too funny. Keep in mind that he hired people from at least five different countries and also varied races, he was an equal opportunity employer and that can be verified.

I'll be 50 in 5 days and Benny Hill was part of my childhood. In NYC the show came on at 11:30 on channel 9. Although half the time I didn't get the innuendos and my mom never explained them to me because she was too busy cracking up😂, I still had fun watching the show. I don't care what people say he was the absolute best at what he did and now I have the pleasure of passing his show on to my son. Cheers 🍻 to all of you in the Benny Hill crew🍻

One night, I sneaked and turned on the TV. It was very late. I saw Benny chasing bare breasted girls and about shite myself! This was in the USA. Thank you channel 11! Best show ever in my sad little adolescent life.

Mr. Hill definitely made his mark. Great laughs, even many years later. Love the skits, the talentless talent show, the play on words... funny.

For the sake of comedy and just having fun, it's rather ridiculous that the Benny Hill Show would not get past today's political correctness, when these days the media is full of eroticized content.

Modern comedians and actors can learn a lot from Benny Hill. He understood "the art of the delivery" and timing.
That's why he was so funny. Instead of racing through a line as so many actors do, he used the pause to let the substance of the joke to sink in with the audience. He was also really effective with word-play. twisting the meaning of words and phrases.
