There are a few job opportunities for women seafarers. When i was still active at sea, i experienced having lady harbor pilots in ports like Brazil, USA, and Japan. There are lady class marine and cargo surveyors, class auditors, and maritime instructors and assessors. I absolutely agree that women nowadays are just at par with the men in this industry and for me they performed better. The lady harbor pilots that i had, handled my ship so smoothly with tender loving care until the ship is finally moored alongside berth. So, watch out ladies maybe the Philippines will break the barrier of having lady harbor pilots in the future. Show your GUTS ladies. Goodluck!!!
I’m a former marine engineer . Your all my heroes. I sail as engine cadet since 1972 till I retire year 2008 .Migrated to USA lucky to find work related to my experience as an engineer. Here in the US my company MTD we do ships engine maintenance. I don’t sail anymore, go home after work.

I used to work at offshore drilling in gulf of Mexico ,company Conoco Philips ,fun times. Just drink a lot of water at least 8 glass a day helps cut down ur headache. Take melatonin helps u fall asleep or probably u need eyeglasses na 🤓

Am a quarantine officer and i boarded a thousand foreign vessels of different nationality but i never met a filipina crew during boarding formalities except for Russian and Indian women crew.. Keep safe officer...
