I've wanted to hear this work for years and finally found it today (even though it's been here for almost a year!). Thanks for all the uploads of rare works. It is amazing how one's opinion of recognized masterworks change when you can put them in a fuller, richer, and more accurate historical-musical context. It elevates our opinion of the forgotten composers and their works, and does not diminish the other works that have been in the mainstream of the repertoire.
The only thing missing is the French spoken dialog between arias which was included as late as Bizet's "Carmen" in 1875.
Wonderful recording, thank you greatly for uploading! I love all these singers. I used to have a CD with this opera as well as Boieldieu's Le Nouveau Seigneur. Would you happen to have that one as well? I've been itching to listen to it ever since I lost my copy.
Allons, un peu de CONFINANCE...!🤣.... pouvez-vous corriger ?
Un grand merci pour la diffusion de ce joyau .
Thanks from Baghdad ❤️❤️
Glorious!

Dis-donc, on dirait le neveu de Mozart!
Delightful performance.
Bin begeistert! Vielen Dank!
