I have a large stash of Misty's fabric which I purchased just "because" I loved the print so much. NOW I have a new project already on hand! LOVE the smaller, easier version of it!!
I love all three quilts. Well done ladies. I think I will make Natalies first. You are stars. We in South Africa love MSQC even if we do not get a huge choice of fabric. Ww often use local Africa prints and all three quilts will look beautiful in these. Take Care. Lots of blessings to MSQC and staff.
Very interesting, as always! Good job, Misty, for thinking outside the box, going with kaleidoscope four-patch instead of the classic 60° wedge. They are ALL beautiful!
I love Natalie’s big quilt the best, but Jenny’s UFO quilt is amazing! Using a background fabric that matches the background in the print fabric… it makes it look like fancy floating Christmas snowflakes! Love it!!! Definitely going to look for a black background Christmas fabric to try that, and use black as my background fabric, too!
You find the repeat by measuring from the beginning of the words on the selvedge to the next time they appear. It’s normally 24” but sometimes varies. It’s much hardly to get your repeat exactly by just eyeballing the print
Hi ladies! I love them all & thought I'd seen it before, but Misty's 4-patch version is just so fun & different!! Especially the way it ends up as a square in a square type of look 😊😊 I got tickled at Jenny finishing a 10-year-old UFO!! I'm sure some of us have lots that old-I know I do🤣🤣
Natalie, I really do like your creativity when it comes to designing quilts. You think outside the box and have an eye for that quilt that is somewhere between comfy, quasi modern hippie, art quilt and home economics 101 basics. Keep them coming!
Natalie’s quilt reminded me of the sherrif’s badges we had when I was a kid. I thought the John Wayne Courage fabric would make cute stars. The John Wayne Courage panel surrounded by stars would be cute, too. All three quilts are beautiful!
Jenny~~!!! I can't tell you how impressed I am with this project of yours....seems outside the box for you. I'm SO inspired. I like that they are completely separated so each block can be appreciated. That background was more charcoal once you hung the Christmas piece in front with the black background. Thanks for the inspiration!!
I saw this pop up on my feed and had to watch it. Triple Play is my favorite! Ladies, I absolutely love all three of your quilts. I am going to have to make these. I’m already going through my stash to see what I can find. Hugs to you all at MSQC. ❤️
I absolutely adore when the three of you do the triple plays! And a shout out to Natalie, who I had noticed for a while she lost a lot of weight but never actually put that in the comments. So you go Natalie! God Bless all!
Love them all and there's something for everyone. I'm going to try Misty's first because I think it works for my brain, then I can try the others. Thanks ladies, you did a fantastic tutroial!!
Love this triple play. I have a box of kaleidoscope ufos. I appreciate that Jenny showed 2 sizes. That was very helpful. Misty's square kaleidoscope is a wonderful idea. Natalie's rhombus design is a grest design, especially the fussy cut tip. Once again thank you!
I started a kaleidoscope quilt 2 years ago but ran out of courage after pinning my repeats. Thanks for this video. I think i will try Misty's squares as a first attempt. Thank you!😊
WOW! 3 different kaleidoscope patterns in the same video! How awesome. Such variety. I enjoy my Friday morning coffee w y’all, & I say again - MSQC enhances my life. Thanks “sew” much! Blessings!
Wow! Thank you so much for this triple play and the idea of making the kaleidoscope with different shapes. I was intrigued when I saw this pattern in the BLOCK magazine and now I have even more options! Thanks again for sharing your talent with the world. So beautiful!
I’m newer to quilting. I didn’t realize their were other options fur a kaleidoscope quilt other than a hexagon. You blew my mind! I think I will start with the square on point. Loved them all.
Love the tutorial ladies! A friend taught me the 4 patch Posey one several years ago. She always said it turned the ugly fabrics into something beautiful! I have made 2. Guess it's time for another one! ❤
One of the possible variations on Natalie's design is you could make it bigger by using the rhombus stars in solids or blender fabrics that coordinated with the kaleidoscope. Plus borders!
These different ways certainly finally made the kaleidoscope make sense!!! Since I sew for Quilts of Honor, I’m wondering if 6 of the same panels would make an outstanding quilt?! I’m going to try it!! Love each and every one of these quilts!!
This has been one of my favorite triple plays! I loved ALL of your quilts and techniques and now am anxious to try my own versions. Thank you Jenny, Misty and Natalie🙂
Awesome quilts, Jenny , Misty and Natalie! I loved Jennys smaller Christmas quilt ( Wow, Stunning!) I really like the idea of a square Kaleidoscope quilt too. All three beautiful . Thank You
Fabulous tutorial! Three shapes to choose from in making the kaleidoscope pattern. Pick your size. What an inspiration! I always thought this pattern would be hard as well as use a lot of fabric. Now I see lots of options. This is what teaching is all about. To inspire as well as demonstrate. Thanks, Doan Girls!❤
I love the hexie kaleidoscope quilt! I can hardly wait to make it - out of fabric I've had for years and years, but couldn't decide how to show the fabric best. This is it!!
As always, beautiful quilts and wonderful tutorials. I love all 3 of your methods. You three are making me a fabric hoarder, lol. I see a video that I love then I shop for fabric and when the material arrives I learned to label the box for the quilt I want to make with it. The only problem is that I'm running out of places to store my intended quilt projects. Ten years Jenny said, I guess I'm ok. I can play catch up as long as I curve my fabric buying, lol. That will be hard to do.
Beautiful quilts, all ❤. But Misty’s blew my mind, because I associate hexagon shape with ‘kaleidoscope’ blocks! There is a way to not lose your points: if you sew the rows together diagonally (as you would for any “on point” setting of square blocks), you just need to add side setting triangles and corner triangles in order to get your quilt to a rectangle shape. The internet has tables of the sizes of the side and corner triangles you require, based on the finished size of the squares you are setting on point (in the case of Misty’s quilt, her 4-patch finishes at 7”. Background fabric cuts required are: (20) Squares of 7 1/2” for within the rows, plus (5) 11 1/4” squares cut into for side setting triangles, and (2) 5 7/8” squares cut in half for corner triangles). Thanks Misty, what an inspiration!!!
I see your numbers are going up every week! Yay! You are my favorite trio! I love your creativity and how you all think differently! I continue to learn every week!
I thought the same thing when Jenny started to sew together the third option, b/c the light wreath was my favorite too. I had not seen the method that Misty used for adding the background on her square kaleidoscope quilt. I love it. It would be a great Spring table for my dining room table. And last but NOT least, Natalie's Rhombus Kaleidoscope is adorable. I love the suggestion of using a child's favorite character to make them a quilt. As always, the three of you truly inspired me!
I fell in love with all the quilts, but decided to make Natalie's first. I bought Tula Pink's Besties fabric with dogs all over it. I fussy cut the dog faces and used Kona Snow fabric as back ground. It's absolutely gorgeous. My 10 year old niece is going to go crazy with it! Next, I'm going to make Jenny's. I bought the same fabric as she used and I'm so excited to see the results! Thank you all for these wonderful patterns. I'll be tickled to make all three this summer!
Natalie, your quilt is my favorite. I love all the quilts yours brought back very warm memories. What you call the rhombus my mother call a diamond piece. My mother sew the 6 diamonds together sometimes on a peddle machine. I would help her by handing her 2 pieces, and then we cut apart. Then I hand mom a third piece. Then she sewed 2 of the three together. This made a star. Mom then turn a setting diamond on it side and hand sew them between the star point. Then, the other side of the setting diamond would be sew into another star to set the star together. Then, when the top was finished, she would hand quilt the quilt. She outline each seam of the quilt. My mother has been gone 48 years. And it will be over 60 years since these time happen.
I’ve made Misty’s version twice using Jason Yenter floral border prints. So easy and the results were beautiful. I use the color dots on the selvage to find the repeat. I look forward to the next triple play!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ for a beginner like me, I like the squares and later I'll make the other two. I have one fabric with a lot of pins from many years ago😅😂😅, time to fuzzy cut❤❤❤❤❤❤
Amazing! All of them! Love Natalie's stars! Love how Misty's is more simplified yet still great! And Jenny 's more traditional method that I've seen before! Very nice ladies! Now I need a rhombus tool!
I think this is the first time I’ve been equally excited about every quilt! These are all so gorgeous and I can’t wait to try them all. I love the kaleidoscope patterns and interest they bring. Thank you for the great ideas as always.
All three quilts are beautiful, and I like working with the Rhombus template. I also really liked Misty's original take on this, and especially Jenny's UFO quilt with the smaller blocks.
I made a kaleidoscope table runner years ago when I started quilting, and still enjoy it today. Back then, I really didn’t know what I was doing, but it worked out. Your tutorial is awesome, especially showing how to make a kaleidoscope with different tools. Fantastic job ladies. Thank you for sharing❤
All of the quilts are lovely. Misty’s version might be my first one to remake as I think it looks very complicated, but is not. Thank you for the tutorial!
I thoroughly enjoy Triple Play!! I am learning different techniques from you three ladies. I don't know which quilt I like the best...love the fabric and style of all three!
I LOVE THE TRIPLE PLAY WITH ALL OF YOU. This is always exciting to see what you create, how you think through your creation, and the tips you provide for us. This is a huge blessing to see your beautiful minds at work and get to see the finished quilts too. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. ❤️❤️❤️
I like that Misty went for a 4-patch kaleidoscope. The blocks make think of vintage tiles.
I have a large stash of Misty's fabric which I purchased just "because" I loved the print so much. NOW I have a new project already on hand! LOVE the smaller, easier version of it!!
I agree! Easy to picture them as beautiful Italian tiles to accent a kitchen.
I love all three quilts. Well done ladies. I think I will make Natalies first. You are stars. We in South Africa love MSQC even if we do not get a huge choice of fabric. I can only imagine how beautiful the kaleidoscopes will be in traditional African prints!

If you can I would love to see your African Kaleidoscope quilts!
Me too!!!!
I really liked Misty's square and how she put them on point. 🎉
Very interesting, as always! Good job, Misty, for thinking outside the box, going with kaleidoscope four-patch instead of the classic 60° wedge. They are ALL beautiful!
I agree with the girls. The wreath center literally jumped off the table!
Natalie I never seen anything like yours. Amazing!
Misty’s on-point construction trick is clever.
Oh I love Natalie’s quilt!!!
I love the whole concept of Triple Play - it’s brilliant, and I always learn so much. Thank you!❤️
I agree! I look forward to Triple Play videos, but this is one not for me!
I am going to be sad with only double plays come September
I usually have a favorite of the Triple Play patterns, but I love all three of these! Such a great use of busy & larger prints!❤
I agree! The smaller Christmas one was my favorite!
I'm so glad Nat said sew the wreath! Gorgeous!
Natalie, I gasped when you showed your quilt -- wonderful! All the quilts were great - so now kaleidoscope is on my list of to dos.
Wonderful! Hint: you can use the Color dots on the selvage edges to measure the repeats from, instead of finding a particular spot on the fabric. 😊
You find the repeat by measuring from the beginning of the words on the selvedge to the next time they appear. It’s normally 24” but sometimes varies. It’s much hardly to get your repeat exactly by just eyeballing the print
All the quilts were cute, but I have to say, I really loved Natalie's quilt best.
My favorite day is Triple Play Day! ❤️

Beautiful Quilts! Bravo Ladies!
Natalie’s quilt reminded me of the sherrif’s badges we had when I was a kid. I thought the John Wayne Courage fabric would make cute stars. The John Wayne Courage panel surrounded by stars would be cute, too.
All three quilts are beautiful!

Thanks for the inspiration!!
I always love Natalie's quilts.
I sure hope this tutorial will be in one of your BLOCK magazines. Fantastic tutorial
I really love this! I will be looking at prints a whole new way now!
Misty's blocks with the different construction is actually adding a lovely rounded effect to the squares. They look like tiles! I loved all 3 quilts!
I was cheering for that setting too!😂
Stunning!! You gals rock!! 🥰
Three beautiful quilts! Love the kaleidoscope effect!
Kaleidoscope blocks are sooo fun to make! I especially loved how Misty put hers on point. Natalie again hits it out of the park with her pattern!!
I saw this pop up on my feed and had to watch it. Triple Play is my favorite! Ladies, I absolutely love all three of your quilts. I am going to have to make these. I’m already going through my stash to see what I can find. Hugs to you all at MSQC. ❤️
I have made 2 wall hangings using panels that were on sale. Love the square ones for panels! Thanks ladies!
I dea, three executions. Brilliant, all of you. Hugs, Chel 🌸
I absolutely adore when the three of you do the triple plays! And a shout out to Natalie, who I had noticed for a while she lost a lot of weight but never actually put that in the comments. So you go Natalie! God Bless all!
I too noticed weight loss. She doesn't need to loss anymore. She looks great.
Thank you!😊
I love all three ( and Jenny's completed ufo). I've made table toppers with the 60° triangle, but this Triple Play gives the idea new meaning❤😊
WOW! 3 different kaleidoscope patterns in the same video! How awesome. Such variety. I enjoy my Friday morning coffee w y’all, & I say again - MSQC enhances my life. Thanks “sew” much! Blessings!
Natalie's backing fabric would also be great for this technique!
Wow! Thank you so much for this triple play and the idea of making the kaleidoscope with different shapes. I was intrigued when I saw this pattern in the BLOCK magazine and now I have even more options! Thanks again for sharing your talent with the world. So beautiful!
I love these quits! I think Natalie’s is my favorite, but they are all beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️
One of my favorite patterns, and just taught it recently to our 4-H sewists 🍀
I sure look forward to your Triple Plays!!❤
Remarkable designs, ladies. Makes me want to stop what I'm doing and start a kaleidoscope quilt... y'all take care, blessings.
Oh my, Jenny, your little kaleidoscope quilt is stunning! You guys hit it out of the park with this Triple Play.
Gorgeous quilts. My favorite is Jenny’s Christmas Quilt. I think it is beautiful
I would never have thought about the different shapes. ❤
I’m newer to quilting. I didn’t realize their were other options fur a kaleidoscope quilt other than a hexagon. You blew my mind! I think I will start with the square on point. Loved them all.

Oh wow Misty! Mind blown! Love putting the 4-patch on point trick
I love the idea of kaleidoscope quilts. However, they are typically really busy. All three ladies solved that problem. Great job!
These different ways certainly finally made the kaleidoscope make sense!!! Since I sew for Quilts of Honor, I’m wondering if 6 of the same panels would make an outstanding quilt?! I’m going to try it!! Love each and every one of these quilts!!
Love all three! You ladies are so full of great ideas.
I really like the idea of using more than just triangles to make kaleidescope quilts! Thx!
This has been one of my favorite triple plays! I loved ALL of your quilts and techniques and now am anxious to try my own versions. Thank you Jenny, Misty and Natalie🙂
I love how you always get 3 totally different looks - great tutorial with lots of great tips! Thank you!
Awesome quilts, Jenny , Misty and Natalie! I loved Jennys smaller Christmas quilt ( Wow, Stunning!) I really like the idea of a square Kaleidoscope quilt too. All three beautiful . Thank You
Wow. I love the 4-patch and especially the Rhombus!

I love the hexie kaleidoscope quilt! I can hardly wait to make it - out of fabric I've had for years and years, but couldn't decide how to show the fabric best. This is it!!
Y'all made it look so easy. I've been intimidated by this type of quilt. Awesome!
Your quilts are fantastic
As always, beautiful quilts and wonderful tutorials. I love all 3 of your methods. You three are making me a fabric hoarder, lol. Hello everyone, I'm always happy about your great new ideas - greetings from Sweden - and thank you very much for your videos
I love the smaller kaleidoscope better!
I see your numbers are going up every week! Yay! You are my favorite trio! I love your creativity and how you all think differently! I continue to learn every week!

Lots of work in these ladies. Love them all, but Misty’s would be the one I try.

I have one fabric with a lot of pins from many years ago😅😂😅, time to fuzzy cut❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love them all, but my fav is Misty's this time and the one Jenny made from her ufo with Christmas fabrics!
Natalie can be counted on to do the numbers!! Love it.
Amazing! All of them! Love Natalie's stars! Love how Misty's is more simplified yet still great! And Jenny 's more traditional method that I've seen before! Very nice ladies! Now I need a rhombus tool!

All three quilts are beautiful, and I like working with the Rhombus template. I also really liked Misty's original take on this, and especially Jenny's UFO quilt with the smaller blocks.
PS Thanks, Jenny for the fussy cut instructions. I've never tried & never had a lesson -- always wondered what & how to make it work. Inspiring!
Jenny, yours reminds of the assembly on your diamond dance quilt. I absolutely love this!
Love it.... its definitely on my very long list of wanna dos... thanks for the creative ideas!!
Love, love, Misty's quilt pattern.
Beautiful quilts, ladies! I love Natalie’s - may actually give it a try!😊
The Christmas quilt is so striking. I think the UFO is my favorite this time.
Way to go ladies, three very beautiful quilts. I especially appreciate the fact that you gave us three different tools to make the blocks. Well done!
WOW, just wow! Beautiful quilts.
Beautiful quilts ladies. Natalies dinosaurs fabric really stood out👏♥️🇦🇺
All three quilts are gorgeous!!!
All of the quilts are lovely. Misty’s version might be my first one to remake as I think it looks very complicated, but is not. Thank you for the tutorial!
You girls blew me away! I loved all three. Thanks for another amazing triple play!!!

Three beautiful quilts, I can’t wait to give this a go ❤
I realized I love all 3 of the designs, LOL they are all amazing.
I finally found the Kaleidoscope squares by Misty fabric and will try my hand at making this quilt. Thank you Misty for this pattern! ❤
Amazing...love them all and you guys are so creative!!!
