NIghtcore is not a genre of music, it is a type of remix. ITs the exact opposite of a gooddspeed remix. Many different genres of music can be nightcored to achieve a higher-pitched sound.
Nightcore began in 2001 when a DJs said: we are core of the night. Other DJs were inspired by tracks like Scooter-Nessaja and tried to mix slow house music with trance. Then in 2006 people uploaded some vids called Nightcore- which were a speededup songs with added anime pics. People followed this way and put anime in some trance, UK hardcore and speedup remixes. Now Nightcore gained popularity and people call trance and uk hardcore nightcore.

I still prefer the catalan (spanish) makina over these styles. Pretty similar maybe but more quality in my opinion. The golden age was in 90 's as well. If you want to listen it look for Pont Aeri, Xque, Scorpia or Chasis sessions. If you want a pure example in order to know what catalan makina is look for one of these tracks: P.C.P. - Origens, Wax - This Is Real, La Festa vol.3, DJ Pumu - Live In Us or Alberto Tapia, Pedro Miras & DJ Abel - 0-3!!! Free Style. Hope you like it :)
