I see a table which states COF for different material, so my question is professor is friction coefficient material property, I thought it is rather system property? can we tell COF of Aluminum is 1.5, Platinum is 3, Iron 1.2, and Gold 2.5? this data's source is from Litrature right? so if they do the experiment again with the same condition do they get the same values for each material? Sir you are telling the pipe line water is flow the and bottom most layer of water have friction. Middle layer of water friction is zero so the middle layer water only flow ahead than top and bottom most so drawing is correct sir
sir, as far as i know, the values of coefficient of friction lies between 0 and 1. so how can coefficient of friction of different materials be more than 1, as you have mentioned?
