Especially his scary face at 35:18, looks like he’s going to kill someone! 👏😆👏😆 Also shoutout to the guy, in the audience background, who was laughing really hard at 34:39, lol!
I feel for robert sometimes. Never was satisfied with his own accomplishments, always trying to one up raymond while showing his insecurities. Moral of his story is to be happy with what you got.
I can’t blame him for being the way he was if you have a parent like Marie who throws it in your face how much the first son is the “Golden Child” idolised prioritised all the time . One of the only times Marie showed how much she did really love & worry about Robert was the FBI episode .
From that first segment, it reminds me of my having moved to a new city after I had lived outside the country for a few years. I didn’t really feel close to my family anymore and was looking for something else. I went to a church that was a lot more about singing and excitement And what seems like a lot more warmth to me. A service was held in a big convention hall for Easter and I invited my parents to come. My mother did her best to at least stay in observe but my father got up and walked out. I felt like they had imposed their religion on me for most of my life and they should be willing to see what was important to me. My father had been a convert so it probably shook him up even more because willing converts are often even more and trenched than those who are raised without really choosing. I appreciate it a lot my mother‘s, desire to accept me, but I never really felt that they understood me. But I have accepted now that it’s part of my spiritual quest to accept them as they were.
Marie: How did your interview go? Robert: Come here. Let me tell you about it. Marie: Didn't it go well? Robert: Oh, it was going okay, and then Agent Garfield read me a letter about crazy Robert in his lucky suit. Debra: What? Marie: I never said crazy. Ray: Ma, what did you do? Robert: She faxed the FBI a letter about how she ruined my lucky suit. Marie: I wasn't sure it went through; it's the first time I ever used a fax machine. Debrq: Marie, why don't you go into the kitchen? Robert, how about you stay here and... maybe blink a few times? Robert: Why would you do it? Why would you send a letter? The guy looked at me like I was a pathetic, candy-ass mama's boy. Marie: Well, then he seems awfully critical. Robert: HE'S THE FBI, MA!! I WASN'T APPLYING FOR A JOB AT THE GAP!!
I believe that Robert and the Dad carried that show. They brought the most laughs😂 . Much like Seinfeld. The supporting cast carried that show! Jerry wasn't quite so amusing.
