I have this bike. It’s great! Even though it’s dead of winter and COLD, I’ve put almost 300 miles on it. I’ve ridden it in 10 inches of snow, on the beach, and have towed 200lbs with it with a big bike trailer I have. The thing is an absolute monster. Though it is quite thirsty when you ride it like me. I have a second battery and battery sled.. I’ve been waiting on my dual battery, parallel adapter to come from china since 12/30, but it should be here in a couple days. Still not sure where I’m mounting the second battery (probably on the rack). Anyway, I love it. I will say, you’re right about the soft start. I can not stand it, but when you ride it enough, you get pretty good at knowing how to ride to avoid zeroing out the speedometer.
I like that they did the 24" tires and smaller frame. My first ebike had the 26x4 tires with a step over frame and it was just too tall for me to enjoy.
@iscootct I think 26" is just fine. Edited - My current build is 28" wheels 😅 I'm 5'11 and it's not too tall or anything, I thought sometimes that my 26" bike, on Schwalbe 'marathon' felt too small - it's nice to be a bit higher up on the road.
@maximumchargeEV I bet they feel good for torque pulling power, as even though my current builds on 28" rims, I feel like sometimes the 1500w52v on 26" wheels felt like more fun. It's mad how much of a different 'feel' that the 2" wheels are.
After riding it I certainly noticed the battery sag that you sort of mentioned. It’s still a decent deal, but I’m thinking of combining a second battery through a 2x battery combiner module. My 9Ah Molicel P45b pack should take some strain off the stock pack. If it does, that’ll indicate no so great cells in the stock pack. I’ll then test with just the Molicel pack itself. It’s fine for moderate bursting around, but if a person wants to crank it to blast, the top shelf cells is where it’s at. JP40 Ampace for instance.
Yes the batter does sag quite a bit. Just finished filming a range test mostly throttle. Video will be up soon. Will later discuss the battery of this bike in another video
Absolute bargain for the money, also has some great features, a fair bit of thought's gone into making this e-bike a great performer. I'm impressed 🚲⚡👍 Great review (as per usual) Alex.
@@maximumchargeEV from what you had shown, it looked to be a good future candidate for upgrading. Everything is easily accessible. The motors should easily handle 60V for example.
@antarakakayano7169 Yeah, bad placement of the controller for sure, 2cm lower and it would be fine. Other than this it's one hell of a great deal, as you're getting a great deal for the money ⚡🚲⚡ Also...I've noticed my comments either not appearing, or being deleted on various TH-cam channels, it's strange 🤔
Alex, great review !!! Does the controller have a xt60 connector for dual battery setup? I wonder what the handle bar and seat post sizes are? Thanks again for the review. This bike will be # 9 in my growing collection.
With how tall fat tire sidewalls are it kinda just makes more sense to have 24" wheels. It's surprising how much they packed in for the price. I'd honestly just prefer a rear wheel motor version and save weight, even more cost, and complexity.
I had a very similar bike labeled Baolujie, it had the same type battery, display and dual 1000 w motors. I did put a stem riser on it for a better riding position. My only complaint was no rear suspension. Do you think there is enough room for a suspension seat post and do you think there is enough cable length for BMX style handle bars ( I have a used set from a Dual Star coming soon)?
Just got mine two days ago. Box damaged but not badly. Started to unpack and assemble. No keys! Not on handlebars or in box. Took out charger and battery and plugged in to get charged up. Red light on charger but battery was dead unresponsive. No lights nothing on charge indicator. Charged 9 hours and nothing. E mails to ebycco go unanswered. 5 plus e mails and no response. They got my money and I got an unusable e bike. Might be a great bike if you happen to get a good one and don’t need customer service. And no they don’t have phone support. Buyer be ware
They are currently on Chinese new year holiday and away from the offices until Feb 5th I think. Let us know how it goes after that. They should take care of you.
2000 +2000=4000.. but it's peak at 5000 I'm pretty sure that's what they saying like most of these ebikes..but I do agree at that price this bike is a steal..if they make a moped style ebike with this same performance and specs I'll definitely get one..
I'm about 6 feet tall and was wondering if you think this bike would feel too small if I put a stem riser or BMX style bars on? I've already had 26" or 20" moped style bikes, but I sort of want to try out a 24" if I don't feel like a clown riding it.
@@maximumchargeEV I have only seen throttles on the right side, example my own e-scooter or rented one, all have it on the right side, imho makes sense, just like with mopeds or motorbikes. Imho doesnt matter if its thumb or twist 👍
Forgot to ask? How much do you weigh with gear?. Maybe just include in reviews. Because I weigh 185 plus gear and lose 5 to 10 mph compared to manufacture claims. On all 3 bikes I own.
Hmm, if you ride then stop, then go before the Speedo has zeroed back then basically it's not an accurate 0-20 mph test Alex. Real world test of 0-20 needs to be done from a total standstill really - although I understand why you did it, as you said in the video.
@maximumchargeEV All I was thinking was putting the time up in the vid, in amongst the other bikes times is fair enough, but only if you were to put an indicator showing it was done from 0-20 but after riding then stopping quickly and then setting off again just before the display speed's zeroes out.. I say this Alex just so someone doesn't buy the bike expecting blistering 0-20 performance from a dead standstill (whilst the speed display's been resting at 0). But, another great vid, can't wait to hopefully see you and Tommy together in a vid in March when you go over to meet him, that would be great... I wanna see you ride one of the Tommy bikes 😅⚡⚡⚡ 👍 P.s - I highly doubt anyone would be disappointed with this bike, it's a real performer for the price
Great top speed/acceleration, only critique is the slow start if stopped. It needs the ability to adjust and lower the front wheel take off power while having the back motor full power which is critical for dual motor. I was going to purchase this until I realized it’s a 24” but they have the G7 which is a 26” version of this. Would it be even faster😮
