Let's go!
I see you have graduated from the all black Jet fighter look.
Looks great! I love the folding arm feature! Great choice on materials and carbon thicknesses for arms and plates.
Glad you like it!
Will there be a DC version of the 5"? 🤔
Could we get an O3 DVR test please? I'd like to know how much prop I am getting in view
frame weight with the gopro back plate?
Hope you guys will offer an O3 BNF of this soon-I love the V1.
Amazing work 🤩😍 Do you plan to release a 9"-10" deadcat frame this year ?
What propellers do you recommend for this build? For the smoothest flight possible?
Please redesign the gopro mount. I had to hold the frame on the corner of a table and hit the frame with a mallet to push the mount forward enough to get the screw in.
hard to buy this frame in Indonesia😔
Nice....
Was curious. When landing these drones say in dew or wet grass (obviously not what you want to do) but is there anything you can do to help protect the drone from the elements?. Im pretty new to this. Cheers
Yes you can coat the electronics to help protect them from moisture, we sell some products that do that - www.getfpv.com/fpv-worry-free-extreme-waterproof-silicone-coating-20ml.html
Whats the difference between Johnny and bardwell versions? Are props in View? Im thinking in buying the rotor riot solder-free kit and using in qav s2 build
Props are in view a tiny bit from the O3, but if you move the camera all the way forward it essentially crops out when you stabilize your footage. We wanted the best possible performance, so we rode the line on the prop and camera placement. Moving the camera too far forward messes with the center of gravity and makes it handle less precisely, so we got it as close to center as possible while still allowing props to be cropped out of the camera view for the O3. No props in view at all from the GoPro at anything above about 15 degree tilt. I have some footage both from the O3 and from the GoPro on my channel. Most of the videos from the last few months that mention a prototype frame were this frame.
As far as the differences between the versions, the camera is moved further forward compared to the Bardwell, and the arms are 6mm on the JohnnyFPV Edition instead of 5mm. Also the camera mounting system is more flexible with optional plates for different cameras, and the rear mounting system has the flexibility of all the different mounting options for GPS and rear-facing GoPro on the JohnnyFPV as well. Also the JohnnyFPV has 23mm deck height, where the Bardwell is 20mm, so you have a bit more room for electronics, etc, and it comes with the mounting kit and hardware for the O3 air unit as well. The core X-lock system and the dimensions of the top mounting and rear standoff placement are the same, but that's about it honestly.
El frame de 5” por el diseño que tiene quiere decir que la hélices salen en la grabación de la Air unit O3 cierto??
No, the camera is far enough forward that the props get pretty much entirely cropped out during stabilization. I have a video from the O3 with some stabilized footage on my channel if you want to see it. You can barely see the tip of the prop during stabilization on some very aggressive moves, but if you're flying smooth you can actually decrease the crop.
Some one all ready arm the 7”???
Unreal!! I’ve been making this apex frame and I think for future build getting 3 of these one for my buddy and 2 for the bag
That's exactly what I did. Ending up getting the 7 inch as well just to have when I try a more cinematic build.
@@BreeZieDoesiT heck ya bro!! What’s your Instagram ??
When can we expect the full kit?!
We plan to have RTFs available in the coming months, be sure to follow the site!
@@GetFPVcan’t wait, I’ll be one of the first in line to purchase! I am new to the sport, I currently fly an Avata with the 3,5 prop upgrade. Looking for something a lil more serious & I think this is exactly what I’m looking for! Torn between 5&7. Think I’ll get more use with the 5, & have to eventually get a 7 as well
❤
Love the look of it! Very different from his old school all black fighter jet look though. Very similar to the jb edition with a couple of upgrades it looks like. The 7” might make use of the folding arms but I don’t think its as useful in the 5”.
Im hoping for a johnnyfpv interview though!
We'll go live with Johnny when we launch the RTF... so stay tuned!
@@GetFPV thanks! Cant wait 😍
@@GetFPVso excited for this!
I love this frame, it's not the cheapest, but it IS one of the best cinematic FPV frames you can get...
✅ X-lock system is clever & changing arms is fast
✅ Rear assembly is awesome... 5 different plates, rear-cam ready, and it tilts 🤟
✅ XT60 on rear plate frees up battery space
✅ Aluminum DJI O3 bracket is good for cooling and cable management
✅ Front DJI O3 mount allows cam to be moved forward to avoid props in view, and back to protect that O3 lens
✅ Premium materials - carbon, aluminum & molded plastic
props in gopro view?
@@guitaro No, not in GoPro footage, although you will se props in your DJI O3 footage if you care about that.
Can we please get some 3D print STL files for arm guards? Maybe antenna holder for those who don't want to use the back plate? In crashes that thing is going to break so fast
BUTTTTT LMAO
'Promosm'
hey um yeah I think bardwell beat you to that design quite awhile back lol you just repainted it
It's the same company.
Actually we were working on this frame before the Bardwell frame was released, but the JohnnyFPV Edition was a lot more complex and and required a lot more fine tuning and production work. The Bardwell hit the market first because it was a much simpler design, but we were working on them both simultaneously. Also worth pointing out that about the only thing that is the same between these is the use of the X-lock system and the basic standoff positions for the top plate. Everything else completely different, lots of thought went into both versions to meet the needs of each application.
Inane and distracting music, why???
I stopped watching after 30 seconds
Might be an unpopular opinion but, I think the OG QAV-S Johnny is still the BEST frame I have ever built. If I could get the new camera bits from this version, and put it on the old version so I can use the O3 unit, that would have been perfect imo
The O3 cam fits in the OG QAV-S my man. Just flip the cam standoffs.
@@LennartvdZ DVR? Jello problems?
