the power of nika limits is by the user imagination, maybe deep down after he lost his brother ace, he really want to manifest firefist as ace iconic move and with nika fruit luffy may unconsciously make it come true with the redhawk (the word in japan read as same as firefist) and with the fire comes from nika fruit.. i would like to see the ending where Luffy flexing about "sun fire is hotter than magma" in one piece universe.
Luffys gear 5th is basically the power of "the mask" and became a almost invincible cartoon character which fits perfectly for him :D oda once mentioned something about luffys abilities being fun even in serious situations so for me it really is in theme with luffys character!
I honestly love how silly his new form is making him it’s very fitting for his character and I know some people were probably wanting something cooler but I feel personally that this embodies everything Oda wants Luffy and the story of One Piece to be just a funny and ridiculous adventure, a laugh tale if you will 😊

The way Luffy's powers work now make so much sense! The ways he used it seemed impossible in reality. He shouldn't have been able to punch so fast he seems to have multiple fists, he shouldn't be able to blow air into his bones to grow limbs, and he shouldn't be able to do the same with his muscles. But now it makes sense on how he does it: He is a literal cartoon! He follows his own laws of physics that completely disregard ours!
Theory - Shanks DID tell the gorosei about Luffy. But what he didn't mention to them in particular was that he had knowledge of HOW to awaken the fruit. He knew Luffy needed to be strong enough (ref. one-for-all) or needed to driven enough to liberate people potentially. Essentially there was a barrier to entry and once achieved, he needed to die. He warned them at the appropriate time for them to participate in the awakening of the fruit unwittingly.
So ur trying to say shanks knew he had to die and he was strong enough to awaken it so he basically got the government to kill him so it wud awaken without the government knowing that’s how it awakens
I loved the explanation of “Why hasn’t they taken out Luffy yet if they knew he was in possession of this power this whole time,” but it does make complete sense. Right now to how drastic the bounties went up overtime considering how that wa probably one of the very few ways to hopefully have someone stop Luffy while not dropping the hint of what his Devil Fruit was truly capable of. Oh, all of this build up… It really does seem like only One Piece could have pulled this off.

The moment luffy stepped into Marineford they had the chance to kill him and obtain his fruit, if they didn't it's beacuse his fruit was the gomu gomu no mi prior to Wano, and it's blatantly obvious that's the case. The real reason WHY Shanks bet on Luffy: They said Zoans have will of their own. It's been avoiding even the WG for hundreds of years. But apparently, this Gomu DF lets itself get eaten by just a kid (Luffy) it only means Nika chose Luffy to carry his will/power and Shanks realized that. When luffy drowned and about to be eaten by Sea King, he said his lost arm is just a small sacrifice for the better future. Which he might want to say, A lost arm is a small price to pay for saving the "Nika fruit owner" 😎🔥
Oda really gave Luffy the most OP power of all. Toon Force. Whether Luffy pushes it to something like Popeye or Jim Carrey’s the Mask is yet to be seen. If this section of the fight doesn’t have insane animation, it won’t be fitting.

I *think, now that I’ve seen the panels, that it seems like Luffys limbs are no longer just inflated with air like gear 3 but actually filled out with extra muscle too. Like he actually made them bigger, not just blew them up like balloons.
Yeah. He needed to blow air in order to achieve that because his rubber properties must extend, then retract. Moreover, his muscle form in gear 4th, he needed to use haki in order to harden is muscles effectively because the rubber would retract it by force. Now that he is awakened, his body has more freedom with his rubber. He can extend his bones, muscles, without the need of blowing air (kinda like katakuri). He can increase the mass of his muscles and bones by producing more rubber inside his body ( giving him more strength ) and with additional bonus of strenght of his awakened.
@Ramses Medina uh I’m gonna politely tell you that the time out period for Gear 4th after deactivation, before Training in Wano, is about 10 minutes of no Haki. Luffy talked about it with the Civilians of Dressrossa when they were dealing with Doflimingo.
Yeah, basically most restrictions on him are thrown out the window. Oda changed the whole dynamic and fused manga with WB cartoon mechanics. Luffy is now Jim Carreys 'The Mask' of manga.
Im assuming he can generate his ability now. Only part of my theory that was right was he would be able to use gear 3 stuff seamlessly. I thought hed basicly be like katikuri but only could control whats attatched to him. And since rubber has different forms like gum and tire rubber. He would just upgrade his current gears to be better. But it seem it basically made a whole new gear of its own.

When Roger and Garp beat Rocks, Rocks asked Garp to take care of Dragon and keep him safe from the World Government. Later on, when Roger died, he also asked Garp to take care of Ace since he know he took care of Dragon. Again, it's just a theory because when I saw Rocks silhouette, it was similar to Dragon. Lol

True but without knowing what the power was, he was literally using basic rubber. Hence the drawbacks and limitations of rubber before this awakening. It's not as if those god powers were active. The eater of the fruit finds out their name due to the abilities they get, so if you eat a fruit and all of a sudden have the properties of rubber you aren’t going to think “Damn, I’m the sun god nika!” but “Damn, I’m fucking rubber. Must be the gomu gomu fruit”
I love how we got to see all three of luffys gears merged into one singular form with his awakening. Bc on top of affecting anything he touches he's also retained all of his Gear powers and can switch between them more fluidly at will. Seems like everyones theories got merged with this chapter. To paraphrase Vegeta: it's like every theory we all had merged into one, cloned itself, f**ked the clone, and then made this!

This kinda explains how he originally enlarged his arms. He wasn't actually blowing them up with his thumb like a balloon. He simply thought he was and the fruits powers made it happen.
To be honest I’d love to see Luffy use more Haki infused attacks instead of rubber next chapter against kaido since they were showing his conquerors haki just leaking from the room when he awoke I’d rather see the massive increase in strength compared to more elastic attacks.
I think that's being saved up for his fight with shanks, I mean the guy was generally accepted as one of the strongest haki users, so you know, maybe..he'd learn/gain greater haki skills there
I actually like that they went back to the focus on devil fruit powers, haki was getting boring and even his basic attacks are causing to much damage now, wheres even in gear 4 kaido seemed untouchable before

Well I think the question of “How Luffy isn’t able to turn into a hybrid or full Nika” is pretty easy if we look at it in the same way as Chopper’s Hito-Hito fruit. He doesn’t have a full human form, but rather various forms built around both identities. This could also explain the nature of Gear Fourth as well as just an extension of that fruit’s capabilities
This is a real Yu Yu hakusho moment when he died against sensui and then woke up way stronger than him with a power he’d been born with and was unaware of how to awaken
i think its not joyboy's return rather the fruit joyboy was using has awakened/returned, i think luffy in general had joyboy's shared a lot of similarities with joy boy already before that/ inherited joy boy's will. but like u said its not like something took over him, in anycase really enjoyed this reveal and his new looks look awesome. thanks for showing and talking about this @plotarmor

Honestly it's not too surprising to me, ever since he got into the new world, luffy has been naming his attacks after animals. So him having a zoan devil fruit makes sense IF you want to look at it like that. Plus he has a human fruit, so his transformations would be different
@@christopherlake9667 well, at first they were weapons scaling how much power they have, making his fruit feel man made, but in the new world, he names his attacks first an animal then that weapon, giving it the speed, power or durability of that animal, and amplifies it with the attack he is gonna use. It could be that some fruits, mostly mythical zoans, don't manifest their true form/powers until the users awaken them. And until that time comes the powers the users manifest is just a small fraction/version of the real power. This is probably inspired by the Zanpakto power system from Bleach were the shikai are small fractions of a Zanpakto's true Bankai form. Its also very possible that such small scale/pre awaken manifestations of said fruits are different enough to pass as a completely different type of power/fruit all together.

Considering it is supposed to be some kind of God fruit. Maybe that's the intention of hiding all information about it maybe by hiding information about joy boy and Nika weakens the power of the God itself. Now that Luffy and people around it knows about this it increases the chances of awakening it.
The Gomu Gomu fruit seems to have the characteristics off all fruit types, it's initial form is the paramecia powers it grants, then as Luffy started to awaken he gained Zoan like abilities with Snakeman and etc, now it seems he has transformed into actual rubber. Not only that, but it appears he can apply that effect to objects he's touching like a Logia fruit.
When the remaining CPO agent reports about Luffy becoming JoyBoy to the Gorosei...they will panic! They will have Luffy's bounty poster updated to ONLY DEAD ( mirroring Sanji's Only Alive bounty ) Only Dead means Luffy's become the ultimate threat to their Government...which at last leads to FINAL WAR !
I think the best way to explain his personality is that it’s still him, like just imagine you being regular yourself but then you drink a lot of caffeine and you get hyper, your still you, but you are just hyper. That’s how luffy is with this new power
Since doflamingos awakening chapter, I imagined that one day luffy's awakening would pull his surroundings as a shield instead of just using his body to absorb impact. Literally so glad I continued to follow this every week and cant wait to see what creative ways he might use his powers. Always loved the concept of how devil fruit powers are dependent on the user's imagination and creativity (Law and kid new abilities)
Do you guys thought about Laughtale after seeing Luffy using this power? If that place was modified by Joyboy using the same power, like Luffy evaded the Borobreath? Reaching there and finding out that the greatest treasure within the Pirate Era is the journey you had to get to where you are. You can only simply laught at this. Roger must have felt like a fool. I think Imu Sama and the Gorosei were hunting Luffy all this time because they were scared of Joy boy's return. Imu Sama probably did something to Joy boy in the past, so he was scared that Joy Boy's will inside the fruit (Gomu Gomu No Mi) might come back for revenge or something 🤔🤔🤔
It looks like the name "Joyboy" is an alias just like Luffy as straw hat and just characteristic of the holder of the Hito hito no mi model: Nika (Gomu gomu no mi) user. Luffy most likely call his 5th gear Rubberman or Joyboy. BTW, Hito hito no mi is not the strongest one but still a threat. Why? because WG, Elders, and Imu should have put a big bounty to Luffy to shut him down if he is the biggest threat for them the moment they found out he is the holder of gomu gomu no mi just like what they did to Niko Robin putting a big bounty when she was young child because she can read ponyglyphs. Elders have intel about gomu gomu no mi to be hito hito no mi model: nika. And even in the wano arc Elders ordered to prioritized Nico Robin capture over Luffy not until Luffy shows a good fight against Kaido. Just my two cents

@imartyfication v.27 I think it’s more so not the fact that puffy has it but the increasing potential that he would awaken it and have a better chance of achieving “freedom” bu taking down WG eventually. Other people have apparently had the Gomu gomu because the WG keeps losing it over 800 years so others must have had it, and have been erased from history after dying for having the fruit so we don’t know if they had as much potential or impact as Luffy.

This form seems kind of dangerous for Luffy, it's clear hes getting effected by it physically, yet he don't seem to notice or care about that. I think this form drains Luffy massively, however he isn't able to really feel that drain. Kind of like putting your hand on a stove while not being able to feel pain, you are still being burned, but you don't feel it.
He also likely wouldn't care very much. Remember that all of his gears have negative effects and he just didn't care. Gear 2 supposedly shortens his life span and the following ones build upon it so luffy has never taken that into consideration. Risking himself for his ambition has never been a wall for him to cross.

I think One Piece's most amazing feat is just how everything just... meshes well. Despite how fucking borderline goofy ahh shit that happens in this story, none of it feels last minute. It feels like this was planned all the way back in chapter 1
I think franky will eat a gorilla devil fruit but with his cyborg enhancements he'll be like a submarine if he ever does fall in water. It would also be a fun throw back to the picture box giving a missile a devil fruit and it turning into a gorilla with two missiles on its back from that info they found in that lab.. idk its a crack fantasy lol but it would be cool

Between this chapter and the new one punch man chapter we got a good couple of days of manga. But just to put it out there about shanks, I think the pirate he was talking about was Blackbeard, a video Vinland post yesterday was talking about Blackbeard also may have a mythical zoan fruit that just like luffy's instead of a logia like we thought, an evil one and shanks might have let slipped something about Luffy in warning about Blackbeard also being close to awakening.
The mythical zoan fruit: cerebrus is a very popular theory and although it's very popular I prefer to believe the 3 brothers theory because the Shogun guy has 9 heads bit still one person, but Luffy and Zoro called Blackbeard "them" as in there are multiple people. Maybe all the 3 heads have different personalities or something? The 3 brothers theory won't obviously win because before he obtained Nomi Nomi there was no way BB could hide his brothers inside his body. Why would a 3 headed cerebrus's awakening be of immediate concern of the WG and Shanks? Unless it amplifies the DFs it's other heads use there is nothing of concern about that DF. I really think that they are just talking about Luffy. If it is BB they are talking about then it would mostly be about how he obtained 2 DF powers. Zoan Awakenings usually just boosts their stats and nothing much iirc. There's manga clips of BB having perfect teeth while he misses some teeths. There's clips of him being a stoopid goofball while he would actually be a very smart and cunning man if he had planned all of this. These indicates that BB definitely has more heads and different brains. So what's left is to see whether it's a cerebrus fruit or something else.

Luffy's power now makes sense and at the same time makes no sense at all. No matter how strong a paramecia is, none of them have the capacity to do a full-out transformation, but for some reason, Luffy could. Lo and behold, he actually isn’t a PM and he can transform because he’s a fucking Zoan! When he finally scratches the surface of his power, we find out that it’s even more ridiculous then we could possibly imagine. Unbelievable.
Luffy isn't Joy Boy, Joy Boy was just the previous holder of the Nika Fruit. I think the fruit influences the user in certain ways, that's why Joy Boy fought against Tyranny and why Luffy always liberates countries and people from Tyranny. I think part of it is the effect of his fruit that moves him into these events.
The Liberator. This fits luffy the most from the very start of one piece he's been a liberator to almost every island he stopped on. Doing more good than the world government even as a pirate.
Only one piece can have you gripping your chair with tension, while also making you laugh out loud. What an awesome reveal. It’s a nice call back to gear 4ths reveal, when doffy was laughing at his form for being so bouncy.

Zoan type fruits usually start with Speed and Strength forms. Speed = Gear 2nd Strength = Gear 3rd And in The New World, they showed Hybrid forms Which would be Gear 4th. You can argue that he created these forms but I also think that if you

@@cj9318 thats actually a theory i was discussing with a friend.the gomu gomu no mi, now hito hito no mi model nika was one of the ancient weapons since shirahoshi was one herself. Uranus is the only one we know little about. Plus uranus as a god was the god of the sky or rather the literal sky. And the sun was thought of to just be in the sky for the earth. All this happens in a floating island, luffy is shown jumping through the sky, and was one of the first people in years to visit skypeia. I believe the fruit luffy possesses is the ancient weapon uranus. Another good reason the world government would have looked for it this entire time. And just like the other ancient weapons its avoided being captured by the government.

Nah man. He's still moving like rubber. Just with awakening he can freely manipulate his body through all of his previous gear forms and also affect the environment by turning it into rubber. Suddenly giving him the power of the god and be able to conjure and create any kind of power would be stupid at this point in the story especially since there has been no foreshadowing for such a power. So far, enhanced rubber powers, affecting the environment through awakening, and additional fire powers make the most sense.

It seems that in the world of One Piece Nika is a type of Trickster God, with (according to Proffesor Geeks video on this Archetype) the power to blurred boundaries including the boundaries of reality or in other words to bend reality. Acording to Proffesor Geek the Trickster is there in order to bring new things, to "shake things up" to slightly change things so they don't become stagnant. And let's face it, Luffy has always been kinda of a Looney Toon's character in a Shounen manga and now has the literal powers of one. And if one I thinks about it Luffy, the main character of the story, being a Trickster fits well with the story, since from the very beginning the main theme of the story is about liberating Islands from "the darkness" of authoritarian control (dressrosa, alabasta, sky island, fishman island, etc.) or in other words destroy the boundaries between the oppressors and the oppressed/destroying the oppressive systems that keeps peoples lives in a prolonged state of stagnation or in some worst cases bound in a state of slavery.

Since the Nika fruit and the Japanese word “Nika” translates to Grin. Ever since chapter 1 of the one piece manga, Luffy was asked how did he feel ever since he ate the fruit. It’s was stated that Luffy felt happier than before and if we take a close look, even in his wanted post, he smiles. So, Joyboy probably means that his JOY gives him this power. So, the abilities he has of this gear is basically a gear where Luffy has the best time of his life, he’s laughing and not just like a normal laugh, he’s laughing like he’s getting tickled to death. Like “HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!” The reason he’s laughing like this because this gear gives his the freedom of his rubber properties. But it only limits his imagination. So he can basically do anything he thinks of, he can do it. But it’s LIMITED. So he can’t just think that “I can destroy existence” and do it, it’s limited. He can’t really do that. So if this explanation helps, and maybe you have another theory, probably reply to my comment? I’m not sure because we’ve only seen a little of what he can do in this form.
Love how Meta/Real that gets if you think of all those years Ruffy and his Crew were giving us so many wonderful stories to laugh about ! And all the creativity that Oda had all those years for Ruffy to compete in battle, that reflects perfectly on the describing of Nikas‘s powers !

The name of the fruits is given by people in one piece based on what the fruit does, not by the fruits themselves. The fruit makes you know how to instinctively use the basic powers not the full capabilities of fruits.

I thought of a great one piece theory, so just like the “Going Marry” object can develop souls and some of Zoro techniques such as “Ashura” and “king of hell” is actually him tapping into his swords unconditionally. I think that his “Ashura” is actually him unconsciously connecting to his white blade “Wado Ichimonji” as well as the “king of hell” technique is actually “Enma” and the reaper he sees is the blades soul, and the next step to achieving a black blade. If you look at the Oden vs Kaido battle, Kaido uses a blast breath and oden was attempting to counter the move, but Oden started losing them pulled a new technique that allowed him to basically fly and it’s what led to him cutting Kaido. That could of been the, “ame no habakiri” which translates to “Feathery Cutter of Heaven” Which could make since that ability was him tapping into his sword. Now this reason has not evidence, but it would be cool if the reason Reighley got the name the “dark king” was because of a blades technique. I can’t think of anything else but if you managed to read this and can think of other examples please comment and like. It would be cool if this became a TH-cam video.

The way Luffy's powers work now make so much sense! The ways he used it seemed impossible in reality. He shouldn't have been able to punch so fast he seems to have multiple fists, he shouldn't be able to blow air into his bones to grow limbs, and he shouldn't be able to do the same with his muscles. But now it makes sense on how he does it: He is a literal cartoon! He follows his own laws of physics that completely disregard ours!

Theory - Shanks DID tell the gorosei about Luffy. But what he didn't mention to them in particular was that he had knowledge of HOW to awaken the fruit. He knew Luffy needed to be strong enough (ref. one-for-all) or needed to driven enough to liberate people potentially. Essentially there was a barrier to entry and once achieved, he needed to die. He warned them at the appropriate time for them to participate in the awakening of the fruit unwittingly.

I loved the explanation of “Why hasn’t they taken out Luffy yet if they knew he was in possession of this power this whole time,” but it does make complete sense. Right now to how drastic the bounties went up overtime considering how that wa probably one of the very few ways to hopefully have someone stop Luffy while not dropping the hint of what his Devil Fruit was truly capable of.
Oh, all of this build up… It really does seem like only One Piece could have pulled this off.

I *think, now that I’ve seen the panels, that it seems like Luffys limbs are no longer just inflated with air like gear 3 but actually filled out with extra muscle too. Like he actually made them bigger, not just blew them up like balloons.
Yeah. He needed to blow air in order to achieve that because his rubber properties must extend, then retract. Moreover, his muscle form in gear 4th, he needed to use haki in order to harden is muscles effectively because the rubber would retract it by force.
Now that he is awakened, his body has more freedom with his rubber. He can extend his bones, muscles, without the need of blowing air (kinda like katakuri). He can increase the mass of his muscles and bones by producing more rubber inside his body ( giving him more strength ) and with additional bonus of strenght of his awakened.
@Ramses Medina uh I’m gonna politely tell you that the time out period for Gear 4th after deactivation, before Training in Wano, is about 10 minutes of no Haki.
Luffy talked about it with the Civilians of Dressrossa when they were dealing with Doflimingo.
Yeah, basically most restrictions on him are thrown out the window. Oda changed the whole dynamic and fused manga with WB cartoon mechanics. Luffy is now Jim Carreys 'The Mask' of manga.

Im assuming he can generate his ability now. Only part of my theory that was right was he would be able to use gear 3 stuff seamlessly. I thought hed basicly be like katikuri but only could control whats attatched to him. And since rubber has different forms like gum and tire rubber. He would just upgrade his current gears to be better. But it seem it basically made a whole new gear of its own.

Must be the gomu gomu fruit”

This kinda explains how he originally enlarged his arms. He wasn't actually blowing them up with his thumb like a balloon. He simply thought he was and the fruits powers made it happen.
To be honest I’d love to see Luffy use more Haki infused attacks instead of rubber next chapter against kaido since they were showing his conquerors haki just leaking from the room when he awoke I’d rather see the massive increase in strength compared to more elastic attacks.
I think that's being saved up for his fight with shanks, I mean the guy was generally accepted as one of the strongest haki users, so you know, maybe..he'd learn/gain greater haki skills there
I actually like that they went back to the focus on devil fruit powers, haki was getting boring and even his basic attacks are causing to much damage now, wheres even in gear 4 kaido seemed untouchable before

Well I think the question of “How Luffy isn’t able to turn into a hybrid or full Nika” is pretty easy if we look at it in the same way as Chopper’s Hito-Hito fruit. He doesn’t have a full human form, but rather various forms built around both identities. This could also explain the nature of Gear Fourth as well as just an extension of that fruit’s capabilities
This is a real Yu Yu hakusho moment when he died against sensui and then woke up way stronger than him with a power he’d been born with and was unaware of how to awaken
i think its not joyboy's return rather the fruit joyboy was using has awakened/returned, i think luffy in general had joyboy's shared a lot of similarities with joy boy already before that/ inherited joy boy's will. but like u said its not like something took over him, in anycase really enjoyed this reveal and his new looks look awesome. thanks for showing and talking about this @plotarmor

It could be that some fruits, mostly mythical zoans, don't manifest their true form/powers until the users awaken them. And until that time comes the powers the users manifest is just a small fraction/version of the real power. This is probably inspired by the Zanpakto power system from Bleach were the shikai are small fractions of a Zanpakto's true Bankai form. Its also very possible that such small scale/pre awaken manifestations of said fruits are different enough to pass as a completely different type of power/fruit all together.

Good point. So either Oda was inspired by the Zanpakto system down the line or more probably there is some original inspiration for this in Japanese mythology/folklore that both authors took inspiration from.
Considering it is supposed to be some kind of God fruit. Maybe that's the intention of hiding all information about it maybe by hiding information about joy boy and Nika weakens the power of the God itself. Now that Luffy and people around it knows about this it increases the chances of awakening it.
The Gomu Gomu fruit seems to have the characteristics off all fruit types, it's initial form is the paramecia powers it grants, then as Luffy started to awaken he gained Zoan like abilities with Snakeman and etc, now it seems he has transformed into actual rubber. Not only that, but it appears he can apply that effect to objects he's touching like a Logia fruit.

Since doflamingos awakening chapter, I imagined that one day luffy's awakening would pull his surroundings as a shield instead of just using his body to absorb impact. Literally so glad I continued to follow this every week and cant wait to see what creative ways he might use his powers.

It looks like the name "Joyboy" is an alias just like Luffy as straw hat and just characteristic of the holder of the Hito hito no mi model: Nika (Gomu gomu no mi) user. Luffy most likely call his 5th gear Rubberman or Joyboy. BTW, Hito hito no mi is not the strongest one but still a threat. Why? because WG, Elders, and Imu should have put a big bounty to Luffy to shut him down if he is the biggest threat for them the moment they found out he is the holder of gomu gomu no mi just like what they did to Niko Robin putting a big bounty when she was young child because she can read ponyglyphs. Elders have intel about gomu gomu no mi to be hito hito no mi model: nika. Other people have apparently had the Gomu gomu because the WG keeps losing it over 800 years so others must have had it, and have been erased from history after dying for having the fruit so we don’t know if they had as much potential or impact as Luffy.

This form seems kind of dangerous for Luffy, it's clear hes getting effected by it physically, yet he don't seem to notice or care about that. I think this form drains Luffy massively, however he isn't able to really feel that drain. Kind of like putting your hand on a stove while not being able to feel pain, you are still being burned, but you don't feel it.

He also likely wouldn't care very much.
Remember that all of his gears have negative effects and he just didn't care. Gear 2 supposedly shortens his life span and the following ones build upon it so luffy has never taken that into consideration. Risking himself for his ambition has never been a wall for him to cross.

I think One Piece's most amazing feat is just how everything just... meshes well. Despite how fucking borderline goofy ahh shit that happens in this story, none of it feels last minute. It feels like this was planned all the way back in chapter 1

Between this chapter and the new one punch man chapter we got a good couple of days of manga. But just to put it out there about shanks, I think the pirate he was talking about was Blackbeard, a video Vinland post yesterday was talking about Blackbeard also may have a mythical zoan fruit that just like luffy's instead of a logia like we thought, an evil one and shanks might have let slipped something about Luffy in warning about Blackbeard also being close to awakening.

The mythical zoan fruit: cerebrus is a very popular theory and although it's very popular I prefer to believe the 3 brothers theory because the Shogun guy has 9 heads bit still one person, but Luffy and Zoro called Blackbeard "them" as in there are multiple people. Maybe all the 3 heads have different personalities or something? The 3 brothers theory won't obviously win because before he obtained Nomi Nomi there was no way BB could hide his brothers inside his body. Why would a 3 headed cerebrus's awakening be of immediate concern of the WG and Shanks? Unless it amplifies the DFs it's other heads use there is nothing of concern about that DF. I really think that they are just talking about Luffy. If it is BB they are talking about then it would mostly be about how he obtained 2 DF powers. There's manga clips of BB having perfect teeth while he misses some teeths. There's clips of him being a stoopid goofball while he would actually be a very smart and cunning man if he had planned all of this. These indicates that BB definitely has more heads and different brains. So what's left is to see whether it's a cerebrus fruit or something else.

Luffy's power now makes sense and at the same time makes no sense at all. No matter how strong a paramecia is, none of them have the capacity to do a full-out transformation, but for some reason, Luffy could. Lo and behold, he actually isn’t a PM and he can transform because he’s a fucking Zoan! When he finally scratches the surface of his power, we find out that it’s even more ridiculous then we could possibly imagine. Unbelievable.

I think the fruit influences the user in certain ways, that's why Joy Boy fought against Tyranny and why Luffy always liberates countries and people from Tyranny. Uranus is the only one we know little about. Plus uranus as a god was the god of the sky or rather the literal sky. And the sun was thought of to just be in the sky for the earth. All this happens in a floating island, luffy is shown jumping through the sky, and was one of the first people in years to visit skypeia. I believe the fruit luffy possesses is the ancient weapon uranus. Another good reason the world government would have looked for it this entire time. And just like the other ancient weapons its avoided being captured by the government.

Suddenly giving him the power of the god and be able to conjure and create any kind of power would be stupid at this point in the story especially since there has been no foreshadowing for such a power.
So far, enhanced rubber powers, affecting the environment through awakening, and additional fire powers make the most sense.

It seems that in the world of One Piece Nika is a type of Trickster God, with (according to Proffesor Geeks video on this Archetype) the power to blurred boundaries including the boundaries of reality or in other words to bend reality. Acording to Proffesor Geek the Trickster is there in order to bring new things, to "shake things up" to slightly change things so they don't become stagnant. And let's face it, Luffy has always been kinda of a Looney Toon's character in a Shounen manga and now has the literal powers of one.
And if one I thinks about it Luffy, the main character of the story, being a Trickster fits well with the story, since from the very beginning the main theme of the story is about liberating Islands from "the darkness" of authoritarian control (dressrosa, alabasta, sky island, fishman island, etc.) or in other words destroy the boundaries between the oppressors and the oppressed/destroying the oppressive systems that keeps peoples lives in a prolonged state of stagnation or in some worst cases bound in a state of slavery.
Alright so if someone doesn’t understand what Luffy’s Gear 5 is, it’s basically when we thought the fruit he had was a rubber fruit. Since the Nika fruit and the Japanese word “Nika” translates to Grin. Ever since chapter 1 of the one piece manga, Luffy was asked how did he feel ever since he ate the fruit. It’s was stated that Luffy felt happier than before and if we take a close look, even in his wanted post, he smiles. So, Joyboy probably means that his JOY gives him this power. So, the abilities he has of this gear is basically a gear where Luffy has the best time of his life, he’s laughing and not just like a normal laugh, he’s laughing like he’s getting tickled to death. Like “HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!” The reason he’s laughing like this because this gear gives his the freedom of his rubber properties. But it only limits his imagination. So he can basically do anything he thinks of, he can do it. But it’s LIMITED. So he can’t just think that “I can destroy existence” and do it, it’s limited. He can’t really do that. So if this explanation helps, and maybe you have another theory, probably reply to my comment? I’m not sure because we’ve only seen a little of what he can do in this form.

The name of the fruits is given by people in one piece based on what the fruit does, not by the fruits themselves. The fruit makes you know how to instinctively use the basic powers not the full capabilities of fruits.

I thought of a great one piece theory, so just like the “Going Marry” object can develop souls and some of Zoro techniques such as “Ashura” and “king of hell” is actually him tapping into his swords unconditionally. I think that his “Ashura” is actually him unconsciously connecting to his white blade “Wado Ichimonji” as well as the “king of hell” technique is actually “Enma” and the reaper he sees is the blades soul, and the next step to achieving a black blade. If you look at the Oden vs Kaido battle, Kaido uses a blast breath and oden was attempting to counter the move, but Oden started losing them pulled a new technique that allowed him to basically fly and it’s what led to him cutting Kaido. That could of been the, “ame no habakiri” which translates to “Feathery Cutter of Heaven” Which could make since that ability was him tapping into his sword. Now this reason has not evidence, but it would be cool if the reason Reighley got the name the “dark king” was because of a blades technique. I can’t think of anything else but if you managed to read this and can think of other examples please comment and like. It would be cool if this became a TH-cam video.
