The adults did not use life jackets, but we did use a "puddle jumper" (float across the chest and for each arm) we packed from home for our little one. Most of the deeper water was in the 4-8 foot range, so it was manageable for the adults. And if you prefer to snorkel in water that's even more shallow, that's easily done.
The spots in the video are located right at the cruise ships. Just walk off your ship, walk along the pier, then pick the left or right beach and have fun! It's really that easy!
