    Thanks for your insight into Street Glides and CVOs. I love the CVO stripes on your bike too. Thinking about applying some decals of that design, in all red to mine... ah the possibilities! Love your video editing and the time you spend there too. Keep up the awesome work man🤘

    In the US the Road King Std has taller shocks than the Street Glide. Street Glide has a slammed rear end, RK Std has ultra height rear end, RK Special has slammed rear end.

    I've had a Road King standard, Ultra Limited and now a 2020 Road Glide Special. So I've used a windscreen, Batwing fairing and shark nose fairing. The Road King was a great bike. Simple and classic looking with unobstructed views. But as you say, the gauge on the tank is a pain when you have to divert your eyes from the road. Out of the Batwing fairing and the shark nose fairing, I prefer the shark nose. I didn't have any issues with the Batwing and I have no reason to dislike it, it's just a matter of preferring the shark nose now that I've ridden them both and can compare them. I also went denim paint this time round and I can say that so far, this is the best bike decision I've ever made. I'm not a fan of being a slave to polishing and detailing bikes, I prefer to use that time riding them.

    Don't Have Buffeting Problem on a Naked FXLRS And I just Glance at my Gauges with an Open Face..Sat on 150-160 for bout an Hour one time and 180-190 for bout 20 minutes on Highway Another time..Rock Steady and the Bikini Fairing actually Works Well in Directing wind away from Torso..

    • @FastnCurious
      @FastnCurious  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Paul thanks for sharing! yeah I’ve also had a similar experience. It’s the fairing themselves that creates the buffeting to begin with because raw wind on its own is generally fine. Cheers 👍💥

    Excellent review @ Fast N Curious! I just purchased one of these and should receive it in a few weeks. I didn’t know you could wrap bikes with impact proof film. Sounds like a great investment. I’m definitely going to have to look into that. Are those Rinehart slip one the CVO specific model ? I’d also like to keep the stock look!

    You mention WIND BUFFETING and you say you address the issue in an upcoming vlog, but were is this vlog? Need to know how to stop most of the buffeting. I see you did install a Klock Werks 6.5'' screen and that seemed to help alot. I am 5'7'', is that about your height too? Thank You!

    • @FastnCurious
      @FastnCurious  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes similar I am 5’10” and the Klock Werks screen was amazing for touring for sure a big help indeed however I only ever used it with my Hammock touring seat and as I found with the stock CVO seat I was sitting too low to use the Klock Werks screen so I used to swap the stock screen with the Klock Werks when I toured. Cheers 👍💥
      PS but look at trying the fork wind deflectors I’ve heard they’re a great option, they just don’t look that great in my opinion. Maybe just use them when touring and take off when riding around home etc.

  • @gazncaz4760
    @gazncaz4760 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You had 2018 CVO StreetGlide as well. Both are 117cu. So what's the noticeable differences 2 years apart. Apart from the obvious traction control and hill start brake system?

    • @FastnCurious
      @FastnCurious  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First noticeable difference is the colour. I quickly realised I pick the wrong colour for me back then and sold the bike with 1030k’s. I made the decision cause it was the last one in Australia but wrong way to buy. The screen now doesn’t have the big rubber buttons anymore and the whole nav thing works so much fast & better. The bike has a better ride, they upgraded the suspension in 2019 and it has made a great difference. They got rid of the lower fairings and the bike looks much better without them. Otherwise that’s about it. 👍💥

  • @kevincraig8257
    @kevincraig8257 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    how fast were you going at the start seemed like you had very good wind protection with that windshield?

    • @FastnCurious
      @FastnCurious  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only about 50-70k max speed in that national park is 80. I think the wind protection is much better with the stock seat too as the Hammock seat puts me a bit higher. 👍💥

    Hi there if you want to stop the head buffering completely check out www.jescustomaccents.com in the states they are fork wind deflectors and are amazing i purchased them for i think around $ 150 bucks Australian and like you fitted the klockwerks screen but it didn't completely stop it these do trust me i discovered most of the wind comes up either side of the fuel tank mixes with the air behind the screen and rattles your brain to bits. I put these on my 2019 streetglide special and problem solved. next time your riding place your hand on the side of the tank and feel the rush of air coming up these fork wind deflectors stop 90 percent of that air, thought they looked abit dickie but don"t notice them now and the benefits far out way the look
