As someone who is slowly coming back to stamping after many years away, I was gasping with astonishment at this....embossing paste? Yes please!!! These cards are gorgeous and I must get some of this immediately.
Lo love these cards. I have colored my paste before but not with distress inks. I have a translucent paste ordered. Hope to get it soon and try it out. Really liked those stencils too
I only buy the white embossing paste/texture paste because I can use any of my inks to color the paste. I can also mix ink colors together and personalize it to suit my taste for whatever project it is that I am doing. Adding perfect pearls into white or inked paste will give you a beautiful shine without the cost of special colored or pearlized pastes. Of course, I can buy them already done, but I try to save as much money as I can on these types of supplies so that I can use what I saved for products that I really want. I hope this helps someone!! I love your channel!! You, Max Echardt, Nichol Magourik, and Jennifer McGuire are my go-to experts for tips, tricks and techniques ;-)
Simple, elegant and gorgeous! LOVE embossing paste...especially when it's colored or has a sheen to it. And I'm also a huge fan of Seedless Preserves. One of the best distress colors out there. TFS, Heather
Such a beautiful effect on all cards. Love that shimmery paste! Time to get the stencils and paste out! And i love the way you coloured the paste with distress inks. So cool. Thank you!
Gorgeous cards, Kristina! Love the ombre effect you got on the lace card. I've never colored my own paste, either, but will definitely have to try that. I'm also glad you're back doing videos. I SOOO missed seeing your work! Thanks so much for sharing your cards, and your wonderful talent!
I love doing this, I've done it often to create my own coloured embossing paste. If you do this often, it's worth buying some small plastic pots to store any leftovers in, it keeps quite well in a screw top pot. You can also sprinkle glitter over the top, or indeed mix in glitter to the paste. When it dries you have a lovely sparkly image, but with no shedding. You can buy glitter embossing paste, but it's quite expensive, so it's much more cost effective to make your own.
Beautiful! They opened a Hobby Lobby in the town I live in. It's been there probably close to a year and I haven't been there yet. Maybe tomorrow. 😻 I love your videos. You are truly inspiring to me and your projects are amazing. I love how u think outside of the box. We just moved and I get my own craft room again. Just need to arrange and unpack!
O my gorgeous is all I can say. I love the new embossing paste is it so pretty and the purples and pink turned out fantastic. And I am not a purple person but love the card. Good job.
i color embossing a lot use distress ink pads but also the re-inkers, you only need a drop and it's super vibrant, love the lace effect, thanks for sharing
Love the simple elegance of your cards!! Always admired your handiwork. You make things look so easy with your added tips and tricks. thank you!!! p.s. luv, luv the nail colour!
Hi Kristina. Thanks for the awesome video. Great ideas! Can't wait to try it! Also, whenever I loose the dots to my die cut "I's", I use a pearl or a self adhesive flower or a small gem to dot the "I". (I'm sure you have done that as well.)
Have you ever tried adhering the cardstock to the fun foam before die-cutting it? I'm thinking it would be too thick to cut through, but if not would make the cut outs really seamless.
I tried translucent with my Mermaid Lagoon reinker a few weeks back after seeing The Daily Marker (I think) play with translucent and stain. I was hoping for more translucent color. Instead, I got a very intense, pure color instead of a lightened one that I got using white. So if you're looking for intensity, try your reinker with translucent paste instead.
you probably dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me atm you can stream all of the new movies on instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my brother for the last few months :)
Hi Kristina. Did you notice any difference between the transluscent embossing paste vs the regular white embossing paste for mixing your own colors? Thanks! :-)
I love your cards. You always have wonderful ideas! I also love playing with embossing paste. I needed to make bubbles for my hubby's card. I used tumbled glass, perfect pearls and translucent embossing paste. While it was still wet, I sprinkled a little crystal glitter. I have the card plus a few others on my Pinterest account, gwtwtarascarlet.
Very simple but elegant. Would make great thank you cards as well. Love you videos. You are so good at e explaining things. Question do you video first then voice over. Not a critique just a question?
Beautiful cards. I always thought that embossing paste needed to be heated with a heat gun for some reason? Can I add embossing powder to it and will it needed to be heated to melt it? Sorry if this question is a bit silly. I'm new to embossing paste!
Embossing paste does not need heat at all. It will air dry and set up. You're thinking of *heat* embossing, which does require the heat embossing powder and a heat tool to melt the powder.
K Werner Design Thanks for your quick reply. I'm going to try it. I've been making cards for about 5 years now and am ALWAYS inspired by your creations. Next month, I start making cards to donate to the Ronald McDonald House at Pasadena. I'm going to use this technique on the cards.

How difficult was it to peal the stick it backing off the paper? Did you use any kind of tool or just you finger nail.
Thanks!
Crafting Mama Not hard at all. It comes off fairly easy.
Does the embossing paste/texture paste have an odour to it? Thank you
Love this idea! Thank you
very pretty
Do you know if you can add Glimmer Mist to plain embossing paste and get a similar outcome?
***** Yes, most liquids (like inks or sprays) can be added to embossing paste. So fun!

Is Gesso embossing paste?
Denila Jinny No, they are different things. But you could still use gesso over a stencil. :)
@K Werner Design! Please gift some of embossing paste to me 🙏. I really need it 😭.
I always thought ink smooshing was your technique!
