My sister sha ,is not letting up on her Trini thing, my sister you are having fun with all the things we have in our Trini, market my sister jackfruit is also call Co wah, that is what my penal, market vendor called it when they bring it to the market in San -Fernando,Jamacans call it ginnep.

What a fascinating store! I had to laugh, I'm watching this Sunday afternoon while I'm cooking a corn beef, potatoes, carrots, onion & cabbage. 😂 I'm with u Bilal on the gizzard, as a child my mom would cook me chicken gizzards & chicken liver anytime she fried chicken. Yuuuuuum!😋 I'm not sure if I missed it while listening & cooking at the same time, but I had to google what Halal meant. Love learning new things about different cultures etc. Can hardly wait for next week, until then have a great rest of ur weekend. 😊

My paternal family is from Philadelphia. And I would visit during the Summer. And when my grandmother was ill my grandfather would make his grandchildren Hogees. He didn’t cook so we had those sandwiches everyday. I miss him.

So glad you have recovered came to check how you was doing. I grew up eating gizzard curry, stew Trinidad but no matter how good and tasty i cook it i just dont like the taste anymore. But oh boi my husband loves it so every once a while i get a pack and cook it for him. Although i cant stand the taste.

Alhamdulliah Allah ta Ala is truly most merciful. I had a similar experience last weekend while at the grocery store. A beautiful muslim sister walked up to me and wanted to pay for my groceries suponallah. May Allah ta Ala reward her with the best of this life and the next Ameen. Nice video, very lovely store. But what part of Trinidad are you from? Jackfruit and breadfruit are 2 different things. The lychees were right next to the Guinep. What you bought was Rambutan, Similar but different from lychees. And what you called sugar apple is actually a yellow dragon fruit.

Jackfruit and Breadfruit are 2 different things girl. Breadfruit is cooked, and we 🇹🇹 use it for oil down and chips. Jackfruit/durian smells stink and is eaten as is.
Make a little rice, dhal and geera gizzard for the man nah or hops bread and geera gizzard.

I grow up Penal south Trinidad and Kowa sells /jackfruit on the Debe stretch. It is different inside. The breadfruit is more similar in size to the chataigne . The chataigne is spikey and we curry it while breadfruit we boil or fry it like provision
