Thanks so much for taking the time and an effort to make this video. It showed exactly what I was looking for, which was how to remove the console armrest. Thanks again, David
When I removed my centre console earlier today, I also discovered there are 2 x other T20 torx screws just behind the small "coin tray" seen at 02:07. You need to unclip and lift the trim cover which is either Wood effect or Aluminium. The 2 torx bolts can then be removed before you can release the console assembly. Another useful tip I used was to fully recline the front passenger seat in its lowest position - which gives some much needed space to manoeuvre the console up and over the handbrake handle. I hope this helps.👍😉
Paul Barber thanks for the info bro, but do i have to remove the swivel that is used to control the infotainment system? Or the center console can be removed without the need to remove this swivel?
@@ehabmaayah5649 By the "swivel" you describe, I'm assuming you mean the round silver button which is approx 2" diameter, then yes. You need to very gently prize it off so you can remove the central trim panel around the handbrake lever assembly. Good luck sir.👍
Thanks for that. Things always seem to work better when you know the complete procedure. I think I'd have broken my console trying to get it out otherwise.
I have a request. Don't assume that things are self-evident to people with less beamer experience than you people. Like the rear vents and cigarette lighter panels. Taking them out maybe self-evident to you, but if I hadn't had a shop manual I would not have known how to do it. Those little mothers are in there pretty tight! Having said that, thanks again for a very very helpful video!
Thanks for posting this. It's a good amount of effort to remove and isn't that straightforward. Did you ever attempt to retrofit a wireless charger in place of the phone holder inside the center console?
I have a 2004 bmw 525i my Center Console Armres... and box compartment in the middle Consol broke. I’m trying to replace it but I really have to take all this off.

Hi
Very informative video. Thanks for showing this..
However do you have a video or replacing a handbrake lever?

@@jb19511 You're welcome, I hope you completed the job successfully.👍

why didnt you show how to remove usb aux connections?
Is the manual boot similar ?
Does the center console have to be removed to service the dual cup holder near the dash? For some reason my cup holder lid won't close. Thank you!
Can I change just the center console door ?
Thanks for not showing it lifting over handbrake and being put back in place 🤔
Do you have to do all that just to get to the arm rest only?
Yes
Perfect Dude it helps !!
The leather cover comes right out, except it doesn‘t.
The little secrets are the what makes the removal successful - or not.
Boas poderia dar-me uma informação
Great tks
All I want to do is remove and replace the armrest. Can you just show how to do that instead of how to disassemble the whole car that you just did ?
