welcome to the fandom Sanya! Since Zombie era, the group is on hiatus. Jae and Sungjin suffered mental health issues that time, so no promotions were done. Then Sungjin is on military now, then young k will enlist next month. It was tough for MyDays, but we will wait for OT5 :)
Day6 debuted as a real band, not an idol band. JYPE and the Day6 members did not want to take the easier route of being an idol band but rather they wanted to be known in Korea as a respected band like the indie ones they have there. Sadly. penetrating into the k-band scene is hard as bands have a different audience than the idols. Coming from an idol entertainment company, they had to change their strategy to fit in the band scene. So their promotions weren't like idol groups, their strategy was to go into busking, attend music festivals, and have regular concerts and live shows. You see, international recognition was supposedly just secondary in their agenda but since they're from JYPE, the international support naturally attached to them first and their promotional strategy got compared to that of idols when it shouldn't have been that way. Thankfully, the masterplan of Day6 and JYPE worked out well in the end. They've recently been getting "Best Band" awards which is very hard. Acts like Hyukoh and Guckkasten are pretty hard to beat in South Korea as they have a pretty large fan base. JYP's mantra with Day6 has always been slowly but surely, and he sure was right.

I kinda feel bad for Seungmin right now, as any MYDAY, he's probably sad over the fact that Jae left DAY6 and JYP... Im gonna go cry a river with some MYDAY's-

Even in 2pm Taecyeon left jype but is still apart of 2pm and their activities, so it’s they same for day6, it’s just they are inactive at the moment. so i hope mydays aren’t to sad.
