    11:40 - I'm confused, in the left-side of the diagram we have that DTR has source from DTE, but in this example where DCE initiates the communication, DCE itself will give RTS signal to DTE, meaning that DCE also has RTS?

    when we using the asynchronous data communication how rs232 protocol is full duplex??

    RS-232 is not a protocol. That standard only defines pins and voltage levels. What you are referring to is the NRZ protocol. It stands for "Non Return to Zero". You can run this same protocol over RS-422/423 or RS-485.
