Here in South Africa, the mk1 was produced up to 2009. There are some crazy modified mk1's here. Some are even running 2 engines. The famous saying is, no matter how fast your car is, there's always an mk1 out there that is faster, and it's true😂

If it has a K03 thats more 250-300hp not even close to 400hp.

My mate has this car to fix some issues for it's new owner. The guy who built it should get banned from working on cars...
No flexible joint in exhaust at all, cracked in different places. Lower engine mount made from Puch Maxi coil overs, was failing. Front hub was cracked, fell off on removal from the calliper. Cooling system was leaking everywhere and routed strange. Fuel system is not correct, high pressure pump runs all the time. Engine mounts spaced with washers. Wiring is a mess.
CDL engine is capable of the quoted 400bhp but we're not convinced it has that.
Lucky that hood didn't open at 200 kph 😵💫
