I bloody love N. Yorks. Grew up in Richmond - a 9 year old cyclist I went miles on the moors and round the lime kilns, abandoned farmhouses and tank traps and firing ranges above town. The music and your stunning videos take me there everytime.
Mister Faults, Craven if I may, your music is a gift from the cosmos. You distillate such intricate looping vibes in your tracks and it never ceases to resonate with me. Been a huge fan of your work for years, every new release feels like christmas morning. I mean, these incredible soundscapes you offer us.. there's nothing like Craven Faults. Thank you for your divine work.
Very pretty! Both the music and visuals. I especially loved the footage of Lampes Mosse. The drone footage gives the landscape a wonderful ambiguous sense of scale. Making it look like extreme close up of dirt, or maybe scratched and rusted metal. The tiny sheep give the game away, though. Found you thanks to BandCamp when they included you in a list of upcoming releases recently, I pre-ordered based on that. So thanks BandCamp! And shame on TH-cam for never suggesting your videos to me. Lovely stuff!!!
Nice. I first stumbled upon your work by an algorithm auto playing Wacca wall. I was instantly captivated and had to listen it again. I think your work really embraces the old school style of minimalism where you weave rhythmical components together to form a holistic compositions. Mood coming from the sound of voices sets up peculiar atmosphere which I really like. I have many times wondered how you have crafted that edgy and abrasive sawtooth sound which can be heard across your work. I'm not a big fan of distortion but yet that really almost like abrasive sound is fitted so well into the mix that it does not feel irritating at all. Also it seems that there is not that much reverb in play. Sounds seem to carry on well by themselves without drenching them too much into wishy washy blanket of reverb. Summa summarum really well crafted and atmospheric music and nice to see you still being active pushing out new tracks. Keep up the good work.
Calming synths and magical progressive electronic textures that keep evolving into so many things... this album feels really special for CF! Super stimulating and perfect to get lost in from start to finish.. retro, new, fresh, Craven Faults Bounds! the best textures of 2024!
I haven't listened to this yet - I haven't had chance, plus it's late here in Poland now and I'm struggling to stay awake - but I have already pre-ordered it on Bandcamp, so I know I'll be waking up tomorrow with this to look forward to 👌👍😋
