I would also like to know...that part was not talked about very much, but how do you just "simply hang the branch from strings onto your ceiling"? I guess I will try to look at other videos, but branches are a bit heavy! not super intuitive to me

I hope to make some DIY videos in the future though. Hope your daughters enjoy this little project :) And I'm not from Hawaii haha, but I have been there before and it's my favourite place on earth! Such a beautiful place :)
Not sure what size these beads were, but from size comparison with my finger, I'd say the beads are about 2mm in diameter. You could always use larger beads if you'd like! I hope this helps :)
