Interested in my sim rig setup? I have heaps of info including free plans to make your own here: beavismotorsport.com/sim-racing/ Thanks for watching!!
Please enjoy my little gift to you, as a thank you for your support in sim racing. All I hope is that you enjoy taking this somewhat wacky car for a spin, and that it inspires you to improve and evolve your real world car (the MX-5 that is, not the Nissans :-P).
Loving the idea that you can drive someone else's car, punt it, shunt it, whatever..., and just restart to get back at it! Spot on observation about people holding back when they're concerned about cost/damage vs lap times... Get In It To Win It! Brendan, YouDaMan! 6ft......👊!
lovely! Only problems i found are the wheel and the middle section of the dash. If you want to fix it just change the reflection and match it with the dash. For the wheel the model in general has some problems but it isnt something exaggerated. Also the arches imo are too matte and if you watch it in the showroom you can see that it doesnt look like plastic. Other than that it's actually amazing and somehow you got really close physics-wise
Thanks Luke. Certainly it is not "game dev perfect". But I'm just a dude making this for fun, not a game creator charging money for a game. In my eyes, it achieves the goal of being a fun little project.
@@Bbeavis yeah, no problems with it and i love it, i was just telling you about some things that if you'll ever update the car, can be fixed. Lovely mod!
@@Bbeavis there a few Beavis's about me and Matt Beavis (son)both do sim racing RF2 etc...cant afford to do it for real, so used to spend most of our time at Silverstone before Covid
There are many modded cars out there, I'm sure there would be a loud inline 4 engine that would tickle your fancy. Engine sounds can be swapped from other cars with relative ease.
@@Bbeavis with more testing if you put your shader patch back down to 1.60 it will still work but anything past 1.61 will break all cameras except one of the outside ones

But seriously man, this is great! I can't wait to give it a try :)

Had a play with your mod today after I saw Jimmer's video... it's hilarious on Nords... I'm a big fan. Great effort, sir!
Awesome, thank you!
well done and thanks for making it

Thank you! Cheers!
If you are doing mx 5s do greg peters mx-5 over on "the car passion channel" he is just over 411hp and like 370tqs.
Think I've done enough making cars for now, plus Jimmy is a true SimRacing passionate, he really deserves this.
This is the world's best box
Thanks 'murican Stig
@@Bbeavis the worlds thiccest stig will definitely be giving this one a gon
If this is as good as your nb mod this is going to be good.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and fun is what you make it... so I hope you find this car fun to drive :-)
Well done
Cheers Don!
I'm a try this soon 🥳
Great let me know how you go!
Me too
Nice, Is it possible to have a straight pipe i4 sound in AC?

@@Bbeavis You ever play raceroom? The sounds on there are amazing.
HOW DO YOU PUT THE TOP UP
It has a hard top.
How about sammits mx5? Would be cool 300HP
I had to google that channel, probably not really for me sorry.
How did you learnt to 3D model in Blender. Is there any youtuber that you'd recommend?
Simply through brute force and lots of practice, trial and error, and googling. Cannot offer any specific suggestions sorry.
@@Bbeavis thanks for your answer:)
DFV Shed, MX5 and Caravan showdown?
Open lobby race?
