@@Bumbaclart27 and i'm sorry if someone likes it, for me tho they have REALLY shit music taste. period eos. and yeah so many decent labels from really late 90s to early 00s started muckin up their output using it. it's fine by me, makes the choice easier when buying music. just remember this folks if u think it's o.k. to use the vocoder in this way and u wanna still call your musical taste deep or refined, o.k. but just remember cher the singer also used the vocoder for an ULTRA cheesy club hit. people who cannot sing try to pass that shish off as art and avant garde. I love alotta classic R&B/Funk as well as electro tracks, and there are many classic examples of its utilization from Devante Swing to Roger Troutman to Godley and Creme. You sound pressed lol, coulda just said its not for you and saved the speech. also Cher wasn't using a vocoder for the record. to me its just another texture to have fun with, Nile Rodgers for example was experimenting with it on "Land of the good groove" and he's a musical genius for me no debate, thinking its always some kind of deficit on the artist's part is a pretty droll way to look at music.
