Chocolate scotcheroos were the only cookies I’d request my mom make for Christmas every year. They are so tasty! Especially cold (we stored them in tins in the garage so they were always slightly frozen when I ate them 🙈). If you’ve never made them, I’d suggest trying them! Super easy recipe (on the Kellogg’s website) and you can use your favorite peanut butter 😋 Thanks for the fun review!

I made them here: th-cam.com/video/pl6zsFqvyu0/w-d-xo.html I would like to know if this is the best recipe though.

@@TamiDunn I’ll watch tonight and ask my mom! She knows it by heart 😂 I tried making a “healthier” version this past Christmas from a recipe I found online. They didn’t taste good to say the least 😂🤢🙈

@@TamiDunn So, we use semi sweet chocolate chip and you used milk. That may make a significant difference in how the flavor of the butterscotch mixed with chocolate tastes. Also, you ran out of corn syrup and used the golden syrup. While golden syrup is delicious, I don’t believe it produces the same results as light corn syrup. One other thing, you used 7 cups of cereal whereas our recipe only calls for 6 (but uses the same amounts of the other ingredients). Hope this helps!

It’s a fun review because of trying samples of a variety of items. The Rice Krispies were disappointing. You wonder how you can mess up on a Rice Krispie treat but you tasted these two plus Hawaiian one and there you go.
Thanks a million for a terrific and fun review.
    Enjoy a sunny day.

The Walmart here in CA makes the no bake cookies, both chocolate and peanut butter. I haven't tried them. Only seen them. I grew up eating the homemade ones that my mom use to make.

I cannot figure out why companies think they are coming out ahead by using low quality peanut butter. It is such a strong flavor; you can't hide it. I don't care how much money you save. I have to imagine the increased sales from using at least a decent tasting peanut butter would more than make up for the increased cost.

I always found that in baking you need to use the good name peanutbutter because using the generic peanutbutter just doesn't work.

Nope, no, nope, nah…think the rice krispy treat was a fail 🤪, pity. These aren’t a slam dunk which is a shame as they have that ‘home baked’ look to them, even the packaging. Thanks for the review.

I much prefer the other Miller's Bakery items we tried.

Such a shame about the Rice Crispy! Ugh... Soggy cereal and I could even tell it looked dense just by Kevin cutting into it.

Rice Krispy treats are almost always better homemade… and made with real name brand Rice Krispies and butter not margarine… they cost abt $5 and take 10 minutes to make a huge pan of them… so disappointing these aren’t good… I guess if there are only three ingredients in something there isn’t much room to hide a cheap one… lol

Now try the Starbucks rice krispie treat....will it be a trifecta of dislike? I like the Starbucks one.
