Great video which gives a flavour of what the Sea Cadets is all about. Although primarily for cadets there are lots of exciting opportunities for Adults as well.
Yh Sea cadets is epic, but the video is slightly misleading. Sea Cadets still do adventure training, just not as much. Also, Sea cadets is more than sailing of course.
I've never been bullied but it can depends on your detachment, people might have a joke but i it gets serious theres always people you can see. Where are you joining :)
Hey I’m thinking of joining cadets but I’m not sure which one is going to be best for me because I’m not the most sporty person but I rlly love swimming and anything to do with water also horse riding and other sports aren’t rlly my thing and I don’t enjoy them much I’m also kind of afraid of heights but i do really enjoy adventurous stuff and I’m looking to join something but I’ve heard a lot about some people being rude to u and stuff at cadets so idk what do u recommend and how were your experiences there btw I’m probably going to go to the Leeds one so if any of u go there could u tell me ur experiences? I’m also not very chatty and open to people who I don’t know so I’m considered shy but once I know someone well I talk to them a lot so how are people towards you if you’re not rlly chatty and don’t rlly talk much if u don’t know them??
dont, if anything join army cadets, it tops all others and teaches you way more life skills, in sea cadets all you do is look at pictures of boats, and air cadets is overated as fuck, you get bullied, and sworn at like you are a fly on a mans foot.
i wasn't a big fan of sea cadets their was a lot of bullying at the unit i was at so i then quit and im now waiting for my start date for the royal navy so i did it without sea cadets but it was a fun experience apart from the bullying.

usually costs you nothing. you have to attend for a few months to get the uniform, not sure though but that's for army cadets.
