This is what I learned reading the Berger manual that I did not see in other manuals. Thank you.
The number may be lower but its at any velocity.
The issue I have found is that when reloading or between brands the BC will change for the same bullet depending on the MV.
If you shoot near the bottom of the table, mid way or the top you need to have a good BC. A G1 is only listed at a single velocity.
So weather its from the MV or at distance I want a more consistent number.
Not to mention the G1 was based on older 30-30 shaped bullets and the G7 is based off the more modern sleek bullets.
I have been looking for someone to confirm this other than Berger so thank you.

Hi Brian!I learned about you from Todd Hodnett's training videos. You're just great!I've already read your second edition of the book on long-range shooting.Your book is like a ray of light in the dark! How do I buy your first edition? Can I get it by email? You have a very developed shooting culture in America and it's very cool.I wish you and your team great success in what you do!With respect from Russia.

I think playing sudoku is easier than this material... Just kidding, Brian makes it doable. Keep it up.

My MOA wind constants better relate to G1 than G7 in actual long range shooting.

So why do people still use g1? Is it more or a marketing thing?

It is because of familiarity and marketing. G1 numbers "look bigger" and have been on the box longer.
