- Hi guys. So I'm back, finally, with another ArMor video! 😁 (I know, it's about time, right?) This one has been in my drafts since October (believe it or not), ever since I saw this amazing Mary/Francis/Darnley video: • Mary & Francis - Anoth... (that I highly recommend you check out if you've seen Reign) and decided I just had to vid this song, as it's perfect for these three!
While making it I was heavily inspired from the vidder who made the Reign one. I wanted to show Arthur trying to make things work with Gwen, while flashing back to the better times he had with Morgana, but I also wanted to show the moments when Arthur's relationship with Morgana fell apart to them as they are in the later half of the series after all they've been through. So there are many parallels between Arthur's time with Gwen and his time with Morgana (like the moments we see him fighting Lancelot and Valiant, both of whom made advances on either Gwen or Morgana), just as there are contrasts between Morgana as Arthur knew her and Morgana after she betrayed him. And then finally, I wanted to show how much Arthur still cares for Morgana, even after all the heartbreak she's caused him, so that's why those scenes of his memories of her are brighter than the moments he spends with Gwen.
Sorry for rambling so much. I really tried my best with this one, and I think after a lot of tweaking I'm finally happy with the result. I only hope that you all enjoy it as much as I did making it. Thanks so much for your support. It means everything to me.

Thank you, Giulia! I completely agree with you that Morgana was his first, one I don't think he ever quite got over, as much as he loved Gwen. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I'm happy to hear it turned out as I hoped. This was definitely some of the most fun I've ever had trying to the match the scenes to the lyrics of any of my videos, so thank you for saying they were a good fit. Oh my word and god have mercy. That was a fantastically beautiful, romantically gorgeous, emotionally haunting, humdinger of a video. Yes, totally agree that Morgana and Gwen are the two great loves of Arthur's lives and he loves them in both similar and different ways. On indeed, given what happened to Morgana and that earth shattering angst and regret moment of 4x13, there was definately a whole host of exquisite unresolved emotional heart break and loss and why he prefers to remember and mourn her as his former love, who would inspire him to do what was right and damn, the consequences and their love, rather than the bitter twisted power mad woman, the result of Uther and Morgause's torments and manipulations that she has become.

You're absolutely right that both Gwen and Morgana were the great loves of Arthur's life, as the both of them recognized the potential in him and encouraged him to become the greatest of kings, standing by his side (for Morgana, in the early seasons before the writers changed her character) at every crucial choice he was forced to make and giving their insight.
I too think that the heartbreak between Arthur and Morgana was so palpable in 4x13 when they met for the first time since Morgana betrayed Arthur and their father in 3x12, and I don't think Arthur ever got over what happened to Morgana to cause her to turn from him. I think what happened to her to cause her to become so bitter was the greatest regret of his life. I'm thinking of that beautiful deleted scene (that should never have been deleted) where he takes responsibility himself for her and says he "could have saved her." I think to him she will always be the one who taught him to be his own man and rule from his heart, as she was definitely the first to encourage him. It was only later that that role fell to Gwen.

Thanks and great to see that great minds think alike in that respect and they were indeed. So very true and most beautiful don4e and shown with Morgana's Camelot needs a future king, who will do what is right, not what is safe and damn the consequences moment from the poisoned chalice episode. As well as Gwen helping to make him see attempted overtax is wrong and refuse to carry it out in the beauty and the beast episode.
Oh yes, that entire scene was an emotionally haunting and heart-breaking traumatic gem of an ArMor scene Oh totally agree it was such a solid punch to the gut for both and certainly Arthur never did get over it. With even Morgana feeling the same, as it was only after said moment in that episode after two years of being a baddie, that, she seriously puts an serious effort in to kill him, with all previous wicked endeavours directed at removing Uther from power and breaking up Gwen and Arthur. Ditto and were many deleted scenes that should have been included that would have made many merlin episodes all the better for it. Agree and couldn't have put said sentiment, better myself and if destiny, had progressed differently might have resulted in creation of a peaceful and tolerant Camelot for all, ruled over by their beloved king and queen, Arthur and Morgana, creating a new dynasty that will unite the lands of Albion in peace and security.
OMG, I've waited since I heard this song (about 4 years now) that somebody do video about them to this song! 😍😍😍💞💞💞💗💗💗 AL is perfect for any love triangle, and for Morgana/Arthur/Guinevere relationship from original legends, where Morgana was his true love. 💘💘💘And in show maybe she wasn't his "true", but she was his first love interest, so it fits anyway!
Wow, that's a seriously long time to wait! I'm so glad I finally got around to making this then, since I had the original idea when I first heard this song about six months ago. I really hope you enjoyed it. ❤ You know when I first started working on this project I was absolutely surprised that no one else as far as I could find had done a video with them to this song because as you said Another Love is just perfect for them and fits their story so well, whether the original legends or their story as BBC Merlin told it. Sure, in the show Morgana might not have been Arthur's one true love, but I like to think that he still cared deeply for her because it's very clear that even after all the heartbreak she put him through he still held her close in his heart. @@twistedshipper You're welcome! I was really obsssesed with them past few years 💘💘💘💞💞💞 I also think he did care for her deeply, as he still tried come to reason with her at 5x02. Its' shame that they delet scene in final episode, when Arthur is saying, that he "could have saved her". 💔
@@pendragonsxskywalkers9518 Same here! I discovered Merlin at the end of 2015 and they have been my number one ship ever since. I was never that active in fandom in general before them, but they have seriously won my heart with their tragic story and now they pretty much have taken over my life. 😂
I completely agree with you, as those are my same thoughts exactly. In the show we never see Arthur get angry with Morgana; we only see his grief and sadness at what she has become, and ultimately, like in that amazing scene you mentioned that should never have been deleted (like all the ArMor scenes), he takes accountability for her and tells himself that he should have done something to help her and prevent all the sorrow to come of it.
1:14 to 1:34, that's what I wanna talk about. Like WHAT THE HELL it just left me all nostalgic and so so sad, it was incredibly well done. I think, now that I'm reading the description, that it was the whole point of your video. Just wanted to say that I replayed it several times and it didn't lose its magic

Aww, thank you so so much. I really struggled at first to come up with scenes for that part actually (I was really afraid that that part would be the weakest of the whole video, since I didn't have lyrics to go off of, so you cannot imagine how thrilled I am to be wrong about that!). I knew I wanted to include their confrontation scene from 4x13 and then flashback to the earlier seasons when things were good between them but I didn't know which moments to use and so after playing around with a few different scenes I chose the ones you see in the video, although I was still unsure about them. Thank you for helping me realize that I made the right choice after all because those were the exact feelings I wanted the viewer to feel, all that loss for what they could have been. 😌 I'm thrilled to hear that you played it over again, as that alone helps me know I actually did a good job with this one, as I was still uncertain about how it would go over as a whole as I tried some new things with it, so thank you. ❤

There aren't many of us left still making content of these two, and yet, I think that's what makes our fandom so special, since we're all so devoted to this ship. I want to comment on the coloring so much, I LOVE what you did there! The dull kind of coloring for the present, because Arthur's life is nothing without her, no other woman can fulfill his life like Morgana, not Gwen, not anyone. And then there's the brighter kind for the past, because it was then that Arthur had her beside him, felt more alive, had her fire making him burn brighter! I love it, I freaking LOVE IT!!! It means the world. I'm really glad you like what I did with the coloring, as this is my first time trying out something like this and I wasn't sure how it would go over. I just love the way you describe it too, how Arthur's life isn't in full color without Morgana at his side. I especially love how you say that it's her fire that allows him to burn brighter. That's exactly what I wanted to show with this video, and also the reason I added voiceovers of some of her most encouraging lines she ever said to him. I wanted to show him thinking back on those memories of her, how she propelled him to become the man he was meant to be in order to rule justly as king, but also to show the grief he now feels because of the loss of her in his life and all she used to be.

I completely disagree with all of you that believe Arthur was ever in love with Morgana. Since season 1 episode 2 it is clearly shown that Arthur is onto Gwen and that he sees Morgana as a friend or a sister, their fight at the end of the episode is not a lover's pat but a siblings' besides, Arthur would have never given rat stew to Gwen but definitely he would to his sister ...
The fight might be like between siblings, but the way they looked each other and the way Morgana touched him in this episode were lover's ones. Besides, in 1x01 and 1x05 Arthur looks awestruck at Morgana, whenever she wears red dress. He says "God, have mercy!" "Beautiful, isn't she?". Through season 1, Arthur has his eyes on MORGANA. He saw her as potential lover, even if he didn't outwardly admitted his feelings to her. He becomes into Gwen in season 2. Try to look on Arthur & Morgana interactions in season 1 without knowledge of s3 and reveal of their background - on sole s1 their interaction are clearly romantic ones.
No no no, that's just creepy. They are siblings and besides the only love Morgana has is Merlin bus she doesn't realize that until season 6 when Merlin actually does things to get her.
They was siblings, but they didn't knew about that in S1, so why they should treat themselves as siblings at that time when all thought they weren't related (including them)?
And if there was any man who was Morgana love, it was Arthur, since she dreamed about him, and his death was her worst nightmare during all season 1. Sorry, but this is facts. Even she later hated him, this not make her previous feelings to him non existing.
And Merlin had crush on her indeed, but it doesn't seem she was ever aware of it. (Though pity - even if I ship ArMor, it would be interesting for plot if reciprocated love between Merlin/Morgana happened.)
@@pendragonsxskywalkers9518 just because they thought they were not related, they still were brought up together and they have never seen each other as love candidates. Morgana always treated Arthur like her brother so did Arthur treat her like his sister. There was zero possibility that they could be together.
And by the way, romance/love did happen between Merlin and Morgana as i wrote earlier. The dude is romantic and Morgana blooms like a flower.

Did you watch season first?
Arthur in 1x01 (when he sees Morgana) : "God, have mercy!"
(And Gwen comments that: "Some people are just born to be queen", implied that is known that Arthur likes Morgana and she thinks Arthur one day marry Morgana.)
We don't know Morgana feelings, but Arthur CERTAINLY doesn't think about her as sister.
In 1x02: Moragana often looks at Arthur in longing way implies romantic love. She also dreams about his death.
At the end of episode they flirt with each other at feast and Morgana refers him as "her prince". (Though they later argue.)
In 1x05: Arthur sees Morgana in red dress (the same in 1x01) and talks to Lancelot that Morgana is beautiful. Moment later Morgana looks at Arthur and smiles in flirty way. They both are obviously attracted for each other.
In 1x07: Sophia implies that Morgana has romantic feelings for Arthur ("Does Arthur know you feel this way about him? Of course he does. I suspect he's already turned you down".) Arthur himself thinks Morgana is jelaous about him.
In 1x08: Morgana pleads Arthur to save Mordred for HER (Beacuse she knew Arthur has feelings for her, so he will do antyhing for her).
In 1x09: Morgana again looks at Arthur in longing way. She's coming at his chamber and pleads he won't fight next day. He smiles and says: "You worry about me" means she worry, beacause she loves him.
After season 1 it was all dropped and they treat as siblings, but they past story wasn't cancelled by any means!
And Merlin/Morgana?
Merlin never confirmed he indeed has feelings for her. Arthur said many times in S1 that he's attracted fo her.
But Merlin looks at her in longing or lovestruck way in many moments, that's true.
Just as Morgana looks at Arthur in season 1. I don't see a problem!

If i start, i will have to finish it and that implies reading the whole script of season 6 again. However, as much as i remember i really don't recall any romantic flirtations between the two.
