If the Jester is the main Nightmare of this game, like Fear of Loss was for Figment 1, then you could say they also seem to share another feature: unlike the other nightmares, they tend to really speak to Dusty and try to convince him of something, instead of only attacking him. And that's really neat, it really portrays well this ambivalence that fears have where they both are partly right, party wrong. After all a fear is an important mechanism of the mind to indicate what you should be defiant of, what's dangerous and it gives you the energy to deal with it. But when a fear becomes too strong or unnappropriate, when it takes too much place in your mind, it becomes a phobia or a nightmare. And I guess that's all Figment 1 & 2 are about?
You probably know this by now, but the jester isnt actually a nightmare
@@Delicious_H2O Indeed. But I was personnaly a bit disappointed by this. It was still a relatively good twist, nonetheless, but I would have preferred if The Jester was actually some sort of good Nightmares. As in "a fear/urge that is actually justified and once properly dealt with/introspected/internalized by the mind, becomes a new aspect of the personality of the mind. Something like that, I would need to develop it further. But that was quite good nonetheless. I was still disappointed by the game, though. (mostly because it's way too close to its five years old predecessor...)

The art style in Figment is absolutely stunning, with vibrant colors and unique character designs.
I swear I had waited 2 years for this and I speedrun this first Figment and the prolouge so this better come out on March and if they change the date I will Rage
