Turns out IRS MQB springs will fit the torsion beam mk7 jettas. Opens up the ability to buy used springs and or springs with a slightly lower drop than what's available currently.
looks good! i have the EXACT same Jetta down to the color and trim level lol. I'm debating if I want to go coilovers only because I feel like it would be easier to install since I wouldn't need spring compressors, but that's the exact height I'm looking for.
Hello! Excellent video! I’ve got the same model Jetta and am debating running this setup with the stock wheels. Yours looks excellent! I was wondering how the shocks have held up over the past year. Any extra wear and tear on the suspension? Thanks so much, I curious to see how they’ve treated you
I know this is old but even if u get bigger 18 inch wheels certain 18 inch wheels are wayyyyy lighter then those stock wheels i have the same car and our stock wheels are over 23 pounds each that really kills fuel economy !! Sum 18 inch rims only 17-18 pounds each
The bolt that you have through the 2x4 - what purpose does it serve? It looks like you're just jacking the 2x4 into the bottom spring perch to compress the spring
@@DJwesslingso I work at a shop and I got all the tools I need, I got the metal spring compressors that you got, could I compress the spring with the compressors while it’s on the car instead of using the 2x4?
@@DJwesslingokay thanks! I’m gonna have my car on the lift, and I believe there is enough room to put the compressors on the sides of the spring so I’ll compress it that way and hopefully it comes out like yours did
Quick question .I’m trying to get rid of my rear bumper on mine because I hate the way it looks😆 and there’s no exhaust exit. but do you think if I replace it with a older Jetta rear bumpers would fit ?

how many inches lowered is it in total?
You should add some wider tires and rims, but maintain the luxury look
I got these springs and my jetta Keeps bouncing up and down when I go over bumps , any shocks u can link me ?
Did you change the shocks as well, or just the coils. It would definitely help me like my car better. It’s too stock high from the factory.
Just the springs.
Are spacers dangerous?

Great video…can you tell me about the bike rack? What brand is it…I also own a 21 jetta and want a roof bike rack for it
It was OEM

Pretty much. It was just a half assed way to compress the spring.
@@DJwessling oh its through the sway bar end link hole on the strut. I see now.

Possibly, if you have room. Whatever works lol

Same as 2019 jetta?
Yes
Can you link me to those 15 mm spacers? Do you need new extended lugs
Just search ECSTUNING.com and yes you need extended lugs. ECS sells them as well
Also did you sell those cross bars!?
@@matthewwebber3019 I did, they were OEM. Still easily found at the dealer.
Where did you get the car that low price?
6spd or 8spd auto?
Auto
What brand springs?
Or were they stock all track springs
Never mind I found it
