The mostly hidden and half-hidden details in the rock work. Still in keeping with the storylines and characters. That magic mirror and the Cheshire Cat! The decision to have the dragon represent Maleficent, breathing “smoke “. How in the world did they ever put this together so quickly? Incredible.
Tom you are just so adorable in japan. Thanks for all your hard work and doing that fast walk just to get there and walk around for us. The fountain was beautiful with all the designs in the rock and the store was fantastic. Once again thanks and we missed you in Florida.
Hearing the genuine excitement in your voice when you saw the Maleficent water feature was so heartwarming 😊 Thanks for sharing this experience with all of us!
I love all the Pocahontas representations in Fantasy Springs. ❤️❤️ I had the same emotional reaction seeing Pocahontas carved into stone as Tom seeing Bambi represented. Love it! ❤
As a Disney fan in my fifties and a mum of four I also had a tear in the eye when we saw Bambi snuggled up with his mum as well. Love that Tom is not only a big fan of Disney but he isn't completely US centric. I watched another vid about Fantasy springs and my first thought was the Peter Pan area was so like Paris which we love, noone else seemed to notice this so thanks to Tom for showing my "local" park some love.
This video was a joy to watch!! I appreciate that Tom knows when to comment (like the Craig Russell thing, how cool is that) and when to just let the park speak for itself, like the nighttime vibes at the end. Stunning!! Can't wait for the food reviews!!
I admire Tom's respect for Japanese culture, the rules of the Tokyo Disney Resort, and other guests! In the spirit of Tom's upcoming Honest Review, I've got to admit that this version of Arendelle feels both better and worse than the one at Hong Kong. Pros for Hong Kong: "Summer Snow Day" is such a fun idea; the lake frames the castle; the distant hills create a perfect backdrop; the Playhouse in the Woods provides interactivity with Ana, Elsa, and elements of Frozen II; the village has more shopping and dining; the Sliding Sleighs is a great junior coaster. Pros for Fantasy Springs: the E-ticket attraction isn't just a clone of Frozen Ever After; the castle is full-size and serves as a restaurant. I really feel that neither one is the "best" version of Arendelle. I would honestly have preferred to see Hong Kong get an entire land dedicated to Tangled, and Fantasy Springs get the ultimate, complete version of Arendelle. But either way, I think this is a home-run for Tokyo DisneySea.
Tom thanks for taking us through! Especially helpful as you paused at the entrance so we could make out the many sculptures. This feels like a half day experience, unless you would recommend a full day devoted to fantasy springs? Quasi 3rd gate hmm? Your joy is coming through the screen- live out your dreams! Thanks for bringing us along for the ride.
“Olafs somewhere. I’m not stopping though.” 😆 Totally understandable! There’s just so much to see and do and in so little time. Fancy rock work and theming is for another day.
I laughed way too hard right at the 5 minute mark when you stated "Galaxy Edge vibes" as I simultaneously stated out loud to my computer "Ah yeah, Batuu!!" 🤣 I guess great minds think alike. Thank you, Tom, for all you do. Also, OMG this port is simply gorgeous! And the music loop is so beautifully composed! And I spotted Tinkerbell in the rock. She's just under Peter at the enterance but in a silhouette form.
That was a nice touch by designers: not a hard edge at entrance from Disney Sea. Looks like springs have “washed ashore “. Always here for attention to detail/total immersion. Design of Springs makes it difficult to believe it is so close to a superhighway. Congratulations! It’s an escape!
I'm old. I've been in the pre-80's Fantasyland many times, walked on the Pirate ship/Tune restaurant, been behind the skull falls, etc. This one is far beyond that, it's not a recreation, it's way better. I'm a bit envious of everyone who's been there. Maybe someday....
You just really wish Walt could see such stunning creativity and the magic the imagineers have created. Tokyo has def overtaken WDW for most magical park. Hopefully we see some of this creativity in the US but I doubt it.
breathtaking, they really did a masterpiece with all these details and theming. wow, just wow! just watching made me cry, wish i could go there myself. TOM, hope when you rewatched the video you saw that tink was "hiding" right in front of you hehe ^_^
I know OLC won’t share their rides and such, but I hope this sets the standard for what we should expect for Disneyland forward. This is how you do IP.
I can already tell this is going to become my favorite land to sit and hang out in. There have been lots of lands with cool atmosphere lately but Tokyo does the theming and atmosphere with the addition of SPACE. Shanghai has a special place in my heart now for the same reason.
First time watching this as a WIGS member. What a way to start your second stint in Japan... in a rush! Very impressive tour! You are going to have a ball! Looking forward to more of these! 😊
45:00 - "I don't know where Tinkerbell is". Right in the middle of the shot. I'll bet in person you can't see it but watching at home on a screen the light may look different. We can all see her in front of Pan. She's carved as a silhouette, not with all features. You can see her silhouette in the right side of the arch, just in front of Peter and right above the green stuff at the bottom.
It's lovely that this new area (land? lands? oh, PORT!) has places that art there just to look at! Wow! And Tom sounds... twitterpated. Wow, I watched the Anna un-Freeze three times and couldn't figure it out. Now that's Imagineering!
wow just wow. First Tom thank you for this, and the work you put into these vlogs. OMG I would spend hours just standing around, walking around the springs, the rock work amazing.
I found Tink. I've seen 3 of these reviews now and it's the first time i've seen her. She's engraved in the rock in front of Peter. Follow the left side of Peter's collar down until the rock curves.
I'm the fat guy who yelled your name in the tunnel (about 45 minute mark)! It was a thrill to get into into Fantasy Springs, but seeing you in real life was a thrill as well. Sorry if it was distracting or off-putting.
It isn’t just the financial investment. Japan WDI isn’t American WDI. It’s been a different division for decades, but now it’s practically a different team/company.
For me the rock works on the fountain springs stole the show for me, the level of detail representing most of the iconic Disney characters. You can spend a lot of time just gazing at them and it truly applies to the theme of Fantasy Springs.
The dead village haha my thoughts exactly. No programming except the restrooms. They must trust that there is enough other stuff to do. Absolutely wild that all of this is inside an already fully realized theme park
This is just next level and wild. Am I not mistaken in saying that DisneySEA cost ~$2B and change when it was built? Here we have one port / land costing the same as the entire park? So dang impressive. Love the care OLC shows towards what we all enjoy. They allow WDI to truly stretch their wings!
The pirate ship and skull rock is what I grew up with at Disneyland! We would refer to the ship as the "tuna boat" because the quick service dining on the boat sold tuna sandwiched and salads. Sponsored by I believe Chicken of the Sea. Peter Pan and Hook would walk around the ship and interact with guests. Great Memories.
I'm right there with you Tom on the merch. The moment you were explaining it wasn't for sale yet, I said, I know this is absolutely killing Tom right now. Then you went on to say, it was your version of HELL! 😂 I hear you buddy, I've already got my Japanese connection with a VERY long shopping list from me. 😜
Those are stalactites that are hanging down above Bambi and his mother. I remember the name of them because, in a very weird phrase my geography teacher once said, you put your tights on before your trainers (or sneakers), so the stalactites form first and then form the stalagmites, which grow upwards from the ground. Where they join, they form a column. You can see a column to the left of Bambi. :)
The Rapunzel in the tower sings and is an animatronic? That is up there with the Fifi animatronic at the end of the Beauty and the Beast ride attention to detail!
Tinkerbell is a light coloured rock underneath Peter. I'll bet there's a nod to the crocodile too in the pond underneath. And did you notice the rocks behind the Cheshire Cat face are purple and pink to make his body? These little details are excellent! I will have to visit one day. My local park is Paris, I live in the UK, and it's been years since I've been able to visit. Edit: Also, as a Brit, not sure how I feel about Yorkshire puddings in the Peter Pan meal, were they good? I'm so used to our country taking others cuisine and putting it with food it was never meant for that I now understand how it feels! How weird! 😂
AFAIK, although Disney licenses their IP to The Oriental Land Company, Disney does not own any part or have any control over these parks. This is what has allowed the Tokyo parks to maintain integrity of the original Disney themes.
Disneyland forward please! I just love all the disney themed floral rockwork and fountains. The scale is beyond what i expected. In some ways, it almost feels like space was wasted like in the grand open entry portal but i bet that will be necessary for queues sometimes. So much open space though im surprised they think they wpuld need to restrict access at all.
Now this looks amazing. For some reason, lots of Disney online forums live under the delusion that the company exists in an unbroken chain of magical leadership from Walt himself to the current year. They defend bad decisions because acknowledging missteps and failures would contradict the cult. Let’s call it “sunken cost syndrome.” Then you see something like this from the OLC and the Japanese division of WDI. It’s beautiful.
Hey I found tinkerbell in the rock work and it's so obvious and you could look straight past It and not noice it but she's not in 3 dementional but she's in their she's in the right hand corner on the right said of the arch carved in 2 dementional form and painted white
Man. Asia gets all the nice and new attractions and all we get here in the states is just promises that we’ll get an expansion of the parks. It’s just not fair.
You can tell just by hearing his voice... Tom is in Heaven!
I was there! Woke up, walked around hotels, friends group suddenly started screaming at me FS is open. Thanks Tom I just re-lived that day.
This is the most in depth tour of Fantasy Springs I’ve seen so far! 10/10
Thanks so much!
The rockwork alone is breathtaking. Having Snow White's silhouette as a pool is genius.
The mostly hidden and half-hidden details in the rock work. Still in keeping with the storylines and characters. That magic mirror and the Cheshire Cat! The decision to have the dragon represent Maleficent, breathing “smoke “. How in the world did they ever put this together so quickly? Incredible.
Fantasy Springs is so precious and fantastical! I am just amazed. Thanks, Tom and WDW.
this is the only FS review ive been waiting for
Tom you are just so adorable in japan.
That rock work is just magical! I would be overwhelmed to tears🥹
I love all the Pocahontas representations in Fantasy Springs. ❤️❤️ I had the same emotional reaction seeing Pocahontas carved into stone as Tom seeing Bambi represented. Love it! ❤
Loving the backstory presented in the shop. That top shelf birdcage represents not just Mary Poppins, but the genesis of AudioAnimatronics.
As a Disney fan in my fifties and a mum of four I also had a tear in the eye when we saw Bambi snuggled up with his mum as well. Thank you for the support!
Why can't we get quality like this in the US anymore? Our daughter is a little young for such a big trip, but we will head to Tokyo in a few years.
I admire Tom's respect for Japanese culture, the rules of the Tokyo Disney Resort, and other guests!

Loved this video!!! Great work.

Love the vlogs! Awesome stuff Tom and WDWNT

just watching made me cry, wish i could go there myself.
TOM, hope when you rewatched the video you saw that tink was "hiding" right in front of you hehe ^_^
Thank You Tom for all you do for your community, So Beautifully Done, we can feel your excitement of what we are seeing!!
Thanks so much for sharing all this! Ive been waiting 4 years to see this!
Tink is right under peter at the tunnel entrance at 45:05 , the yellow color is her pixie dust, she's heading to the left, it's just a silhouette
I know OLC won’t share their rides and such, but I hope this sets the standard for what we should expect for Disneyland forward. This is how you do IP.
I have heard that some of what’s in Fantasy Springs is not under the exclusivity agreement, and I really hope that’s true.
I appreciate your candid and enthusiastic approach to your videos.👍
This is AMAZING! Now please explain why WDW in FL can’t do this? THIS is how it should be!! Walt Disney is smiling.
Ohayo Tom! So awesome to see this! Let's hope that in five years, something like this comes to Hollywood Studios in WDW.
The rock work is amazing and you can see tink. She’s all white right below Peter. It’s not detailed so easy to miss
This is absolutely stunningly gorgeous!
After rewatching, I noticed the Cheshire Cat's entire body is the waterfall!!!! Absolutely brilliant!
The way Cinderella's head is turned down and her slipper is on the stairs with water running down them. Made me emotional 🩷
Thanks for the tour, Tom, it was great!!
21:32 The bird on the top shelf of the Beauty and the Beast & Little Mermaid shelf looks like the toy that inspired Walt to make animatronics! 😀
I can already tell this is going to become my favorite land to sit and hang out in. There have been lots of lands with cool atmosphere lately but Tokyo does the theming and atmosphere with the addition of SPACE. Shanghai has a special place in my heart now for the same reason.
"No one wants to wave at the big sad American" 😂 I laughed out loud. Thank you SO much for this tour. The colors, murals, Frozen Land - magical.
First time watching this as a WIGS member. What a way to start your second stint in Japan... in a rush! Very impressive tour! You are going to have a ball! Looking forward to more of these! 😊

Yeah, hard to see through a camera sadly, but now I know where to look
Looks Amazing! Here's hopping WDW gets some of this attention to detail & Love again.
I was screaming at the TV when Tom said he couldn't see Tinkerbell 😅, "There she is!". Right below, Peter, but it's not super obvious 😊
Wow is all i can. I wish we would have that love to detail in Disney World
Thanks for all the night shots too!
For the Snow White rock work, I believe it’s her silhouette in the pool.
Good job, Tom. Your going to see Fantasy Springs in Tokyo Disneysea!
This whole land is brilliant.... Blows my mind
Art nouveau/belle epoque influence definitely a Parisian nod. A swirly, fantasy style that is apropos. It lends itself to dreamy designs.
It's lovely that this new area (land? lands? oh, PORT!) has places that art there just to look at! Wow!
And Tom sounds... twitterpated.
Wow, I watched the Anna un-Freeze three times and couldn't figure it out. Now that's Imagineering!
This is so beautiful, I am besotted😻
wow just wow. First Tom thank you for this, and the work you put into these vlogs. OMG I would spend hours just standing around, walking around the springs, the rock work amazing.

Incredible
Nice to see love and respect for a Tinkerbell character in Japan that is becoming maligned in the American parks.
Well Done Tom!!!
I'm the fat guy who yelled your name in the tunnel (about 45 minute mark)! It was a thrill to get into into Fantasy Springs, but seeing you in real life was a thrill as well. Sorry if it was distracting or off-putting.
Incredible. This should definitely be what’s beyond big thunder Mountain it’s so Disney
Tink is in the rock work - you were pointed right at it. 😊
It’s so hard to see through a screen
I will be there in 37 days!! I’m so excited to see it!!
ill be there at that same time too😂
Yes the vibe is def Art Nouveau - which brings in the French/Paris feel.
Take a good look at what WDI can do but won’t invest in!
It isn’t just the financial investment. Japan WDI isn’t American WDI. It’s been a different division for decades, but now it’s practically a different team/company.
What a trooper - someone get him a Segway... Great opening in showing us; can't wait to experience it live April 2025...
Good job Tom.
The Fantasy Springs Gifts store almost has as nice of theming as the Creation Shop. Almost! 😛
Fantastic!
For me the rock works on the fountain springs stole the show for me, the level of detail representing most of the iconic Disney characters. You can spend a lot of time just gazing at them and it truly applies to the theme of Fantasy Springs.
The Oriental Land Company is truly out Disneying Disney. It’s sad the money isn’t spent to build something so well thought out in the states.
The dead village haha my thoughts exactly. No programming except the restrooms. They must trust that there is enough other stuff to do. Absolutely wild that all of this is inside an already fully realized theme park
Tom is the greatest
It's wonderful! I have no words.

As if I needed another reason to go back to Japan. This new area looks amazing.
The pirate ship and skull rock is what I grew up with at Disneyland! We would refer to the ship as the "tuna boat" because the quick service dining on the boat sold tuna sandwiched and salads. I heard a guide say "Stalactites hang tight (to the ceiling) while stalagmites 'might grow up to the ceiling'."
I do love how rock looking they make the not rocks. You can believe it may have been carved out and not just be painted and textured concrete
Just stunning.
Tom putting in the work today to get to the new park! Enjoy.
The Rapunzel in the tower sings and is an animatronic? That is up there with the Fifi animatronic at the end of the Beauty and the Beast ride attention to detail!
Live in KY--do some caving... Stalactites. They hold on tight to the ceiling so they don't fall down... 😁
And stalagmites grow up from the ground so they MIGHT reach the ceiling some day!! 😁
@@claytonica23 Yup. There ya go. Now you know.
Feels like a Thomas Kinksde painting come to life
Animatronic Rapunzel singing form the tower in the middle of the area.... of course they did.

When I was a kid I loved Bambi even though I didn't get to see the movie until I was an adult

Tink was in the rock formation below Peter
Score white was defined in one of the ponds in that scene
Man. Asia gets all the nice and new attractions and all we get here in the states is just promises that we’ll get an expansion of the parks. It’s just not fair.
Oh no we got the promise that we only get IP now
At least fantasy springs being all IP has an original back story
Relax. This place is too overhyped
Can someone tell me what Fantasy Springs has to do with Seas?
Same as Avatar in California. Truth though, Never Land is an island and Corona and Arendelle are port towns.
Hey Tom! Was wondering how similar the Neverland area is with skull rock and the pirate ship to the area on Adventureland in Disneyland Paris?
Only slightly, this is in a more cartoon style and way smaller
Snow White was on the ground as a pool of water by the magic mirror, you just missed it ! She’s not up in the rocks look downward.
