Very good, inspirational video. Must be worst conditions for you when temperature is around or above freezing, wet dogpaws... That stove in the cabin really looked like an old workhorse!
Thanks! That's true... The worst is when the snow is wet. Not the dog paws but everything else get wet. The stove, both in cabin and tent is really workhorses. 😀 /Matti
Glad you found the drone and it worked. Nice following along. It would be embarrassing to go before the drone pilot review board and explain how you crashed it with a mile wide lake beside the tree line. All kidding. The vid was fun, well done. Like the Husqvarna stove. Long day in a musher guide life. Feels good to finally stop. Always carry double backup stoves. Don't forget the gas. I don't see how it works anyway when it's so cold. Thaw it out. Those trails make good hiking in fall and maybe motorcycling. All good, I don't care for shy people. See you on the trail
I paused the video right at the beginning, fixed a niece meal to enjoy B4 sitting down to watch this video. After watching this video I read & enjoyed all the comments. That hot tent is a luxury, for sure. Was that a female with a long knife fixing a fuzz stick for starting a fire @ 8:04 into this video? I'm thinking after the drone crash I sure don't want you piloting a plane that's carrying MEeee as a passenger. Most assuredly, I'd want you leading me & my dogs on a dog sled while out in the boonies. I especially enjoyed your dialog about the different personalities of your dogs. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada U.S.A.
Hello again! Nice to hear that you enjoyed the video. It was me who was making the firewood. I agree... Al my plans to be a aeroplane pilot are cancelled. 🤣 /Matti
Gorgeous Video and Even More adventurous on trip. But I guess I couldn‘t stand it. But I like following your trips. You are doing a wonderful job. Keep up the Good work👌👏👍
First of all, more dog asses please. Love watching teams run. Second, what camera do you use to film these videos? Curious after you mentioned it was fogging. Cheers and happy trails from Canada
Hello! What model of sledge do you have for your tourists? By the way, I've worked with tourists this way for some years, and I have great respect for you that you can make such great movies at the same time!
I see you're using MSR XGK stoves with Primus fuel bottles. I've heard several times they're not fully compatible. Was it always ok? Greetings from Kola Peninsula, we're your neighbours with the same climate ;-)
Hello! I have used this bottles a lot without problem. I used them because that was what I had. When you use bottles for stoves that keep pressure in the bottles it’s important that you use bottles with rolled thread and not cut thread idag you understand my swenglisch… ;-) Kola… that has been an area that I have been dreaming about. It’s really fascinating and I have a friend who went there for many years ago and another friend who is married with a woman from Murmansk. Today with the politics that going on in the world that will sadly stay as a dream… It’s really sad that the situation in the world is like it is. My friend who went to Kola for fishing said that he couldn’t talk with people on the countryside but that it was like here in northern Sweden. People were super nice and lovely. It’s politicians that decide that we should have war but it’s the people who have to go to the battlefield. :-( People who just want to share a pot of tea and enjoy the company of each other’s. Stay safe and maybe one day in the future I can go and visit you, my neighbour! /Matti
@@JOKKMOKKGUIDERNA yes today's not the best time to travel to Russia and we also have so many problems to get into EU, but it's still possible, visas are issued, for example my friend has just returned from Groenland journey and two Finnish scientists visited Kola wilderness with the guidance of friend this august.
it's a surprise for me that counryside people of nothern Sweden do not speak English, I have always thought Scandinavian peoples have the highest level of English in Europe, not counting natives of UK and Ireland for sure. All Scandic guys I was talking with were good at speaking, maybe because I conversated with the travellers and generally active persons.
@@northwilderness, it's a generational thing. For a long time there was a lot of cultural resistance. It was seen as 'un-Norwegian' to practice and use other languages where I am from. I think the switch happened about twenty years ago. A combination of cultural adaptation from media, and teachers finally being good enough with English to actually teach a useful and usable language. Now we forget Norwegian expressions and substitute with English ones, it's unfortunate - really.

Well done for filming this when you had so much to do. Really enjoyable ! I wish I could come.

Hahahaaa... I agree. Why was the drone attracted to the trees when it was a huuuuge lake beside. I think it's a software problem... 😉

Do your border collies need winter jackets in camp at -10? Trying to decide what I need for my dog.
Our Border Collies always wear jackets when winter camping ❄️. /Stina
@@JOKKMOKKGUIDERNA any recommendations of a brand/model?
We mostly use the Non-Stop winter jackets for our dogs. We also have one Hurta that is good. /Stina
when feeding your guests..do you have an alternative to what you serve in case a guest doesn't like fish for example? :) I couldn't handle fish soup!
