For someone who's never touched the product and wasn't following along, it was the perfect pace and included some really useful best practices and tips.👏
Are you talking about a business process? If it has something to do with a document like modifying metadata, rename then you need to run on the specific document. But it's not mandatory. BP can also be run on a folder.

Can Laserfiche start a workflow without a source document? Do you always have to start a workflow via a document ?
No, a workflow can be started manually, via a schedule, or from a Laserfiche Form. None of those would be triggered via a document.
