So you telling me the only players to handle pressure playing at high level pressure is D wade, Chris bosh, kyrie, Kevin Love, JR, AD. If kyrie can handle pressure situations and D -Mitch can't, something wrong. Even JR Smith can handle pressure. As a Lakers fan I agree. It literally makes no sense. Aside from the draft picks I doubt Cleveland want’s any player on that current Lakers roster. Unless there was a 3 team trade involved I don’t see it happening at all.
It’s not for the Cavs to decide, it’s for Spida to decide. No team will want him if he refuses to re-sign with them. Meaning the Cavs would have to settle for whatever assets they can get or lose him for nothing.
@@jtx6104 you obviously don’t see how this will go down. If he declines an extension this summer Cavs will trade him for real assets like the Nets or OKC. Lakers only shot if he becomes unrestricted FA in 2025 so this talk is just a pipe dream.

Mitchell does not have a no trade clause meaning the Cavs can trade him anywhere they want. Obviously with how big of a package the Cavs gave away for Mitchell, they want something similar in return which quite frankly, The Lakers have nowhere near that package

As a Lakers fan I don’t even see why Cleveland would do that type of deal with them. Nobody wants to make the Lakers better and they legit have a playoff caliber roster right now with Mitchell if he extends. Why would they want to go back into almost a rebuild looking for a big name or draft a future player when they can contend right now in the East.

I know it is a yearly occurrence at this time of year for every star in the market to be heading to the Lakers, but this year we finally have the resources to pursue someone of that level, whether it be DMitch or Trae Young, we have the contracts to match the salary and we also have some future tradable picks. I think DMitch is a better fit for us and probably cheaper than Trae too, as he is a little bit older and also needs a new contract so the Cavs may be actually forced to trade him. A package consisting Rui, AR and some future picks+ pick swaps would also be one of the better offers the Cavs may receive. I would then bring back D'Lo, although he has been frustrating in these playoffs, he is one of the better 3 point shooters in the league, especially in the regular season, plus being the 4th option, we will not have to rely on him too much. Vando will also come back and I genuinely hope he can develop a somewhat decent 3 point shot (unlikely), because although he is really good as a defender on the perimeter, we cant have both him and AD on the floor as they are both non-shooters.

If the Lakers get Spida, they will obviously be better but it comes down to the ancillary pieces, the bench depth and shooting. In Miami, LeBron had Mike Miller, Battier, Ray Allen, etc. In Cleveland, JR, Shump and Tristan Thompson were crucial

The Lakers were in talks of acquiring D Murray and Bogdanovic from the Hawks. The report was the lakers didn’t do it because they would have had to give up Reaves, D Lo and a few picks.
