I agree with all the points you made. When I was dragged here from S. Fl kicking and screaming in '01 I thought well "at least I can see the Gator-Nats". It turned out to be well treed with a decent layout, roads are a little rough outside of town but we are hurricane "resistant". It should be mentioned that the area has one of the highest concentration of freshwater springs in the world. Within 40 miles we are talking hollywood beautiful and very popular with divers all over the world.

When I move, I wish to live just outside the city, such as Alachua, while distance to services and entertainment would not be far.

Alachua is nice. There are certainly benefits to living on the outskirts but still close enough to everything. Thanks for watching!

Great video. Where is that boardwalk?

It's behind the Cade Museum. There is a trail that goes around that area of depot park. There was a small gator in the pond while we were recording.

Great video. Thank you I'm thinking of moving there by the end of the year or early next year. What is the best time of year to buy a home in that area or even outside Gainesville.

Thanks for watching! The majority of homes will be on the market between April and July but that is also when the majority of people are looking. Often times we see the most motivated sellers during the winter seasons and that is traditionally also when few buyers are looking and therefore less buyer competition.

You are unwelcome in Florida. The state and her people are content with you not stepping foot here.
