Fun fact the hallways of Mathilda’s and Leon’s apartment is the Chelsea hotel, the insides of Mathilda’s apartment was an apartment in Spanish Harlem and the insides of Leon’s apartment was filmed in a hotel in France, when Mathilda shot the gun and they left with the plant and they were checking in with the old man that was still the lobby of the Chelsea hotel, so they literally walked the streets and came back to the same place lol funny but thats tv magic

Jean Reno, (Leon) played a Hitman/Cleaner named Victor in the Movie "La Femme Nikitta"! It's a French Film🎥 English dubbed and subtitles. It's about a Female Assassin/Hitman duo in which Jean Reno(Leon) plays a "Cleaner", named "Victor", who cleans up botched "Hits", so there's no trace of the crime!
This was the precursor to this Film "The Professional",in which Leon claims, when asked by Mathilda what he does for a living, that he is a "Cleaner"! The Character just has a different name and obviously different plot, but essentially the same dangerous Hitman/Cleaner Character! It's worth the watch if you liked "The Professional"!
    Just food🍛 for thought! Peace!🕊

Everytime i watch this i get mad that Leon opened the door for her. The lesson in this movie is that every needy woman will run a successful man's life.

Luc Besson is a french instructor well known for: The Fifth Element, The Valerian, Nikita... After the horrible adaption of "Nikita" to the "Codename Nina" he decided to make his movies in USA starting with "Leon/The Professional" (the assasin character is a spin-off from Nikita) and Fifth Element.
Besson usually introduces his movies with a forward panning opening shot and music by Eric Serra.

I can highly recommend „Der Untergang“ or „Downfall“ in English if you would like to see a great WW2 movie from Germany

I wondered if you've ever watched Ravenous (1999)? I'm under the impression it's a somewhat obscure horror film (and was panned on its release), but it's one of my favorites. It's really not like anything else I've seen. One review stated: The resulting film feels very schizophrenic; at once a sweeping, desolate epic much like The Thing (1982) in the old west, and at the same time a kind of lurid, black comedy horror.

Hi Jim, thanks for the comment! Now as a kid I very vaguely remember seeing a trailer for it I believe. If I remember right, it had Guy Pearce in it, and the reason why I remember the trailer is some guy screaming a very unusual thing: "He was licking me!" We definitely should get this one on the channel soon. Thanks man!

@@Yeedeed Yep, that’s the one. Guy Pearce and Robert Carlyle. Carlyle’s performance is an absolute hoot.

3 rules Natalie's parents had for her to be this movie, she had to take extensive weapons training, she had to quit smoking during the movie and stop cursing during the movie!

Again a lot of the more unbelievable stuff was cut from the theatrical release. One of the few movies that the directors cut actually harmed the movie.

its kind of ironic that he told the girl "no women , no kids" thats the rule. then in the next scene he has a gun to her head and about to blow it off then he gasps and thinks twice and doesn't. He was about to kill a kid.
