2005 textures do work. I tested them in the menu and it just hot swapped over. I ported some of my 07 car textures to 04 to test
next thing we need is to be able to swap in the 06 car models into 04 for the updated dodge model for better compatibility

If you mirror pitbox text or logos in the texture editor, it will appear correct in-game

On the side of the box shown yes. But it'll be backwards on the opposite side of the box.
