girl you're amazing. I'm definitely following you and getting downloaded and liked all your creations!!! you are great and these are soooo beautiful 🥰 i wish i could build as beautiful as you, but i can only decorate and create sims haha
Really beautiful. I am looking for inspiration. I really want to create a nice cottage myself, but I am not that great at building - mostly because I am lazy and it's easier to download someone elses... But there is something to doing it yourself. So I am going to make an effort this time... Thank you for all the tips I got from this. And yes, I am a new subscriber.
I looove this build! It looks stunning and I love the little backstory you had in mind! Also I am the same, autumn is my favorite season and I hate when it's too hot! I am still kinda excited that it's a bit warmer now and green and lush outside now... I am over winter and everything being so dull and grey. But yesss, autumn for the win - Always! :) Lovely build and video as always! I also relate so much to what you said about the spark, glad you have it back! Love ya! :)
Haha when you mentioned 22C as warm, I could tell you were from somewhere like UK. Over here in Australia, we're going into winter and today was overcast, drizzly and 10c with a chilly breeze. I'm watching this, shivering in my 3 jumpers (I really feel the cold) and this build looks so cosy. I've had this story-line in my head for a while, of this grandma raising her teenage grandson, and she loves him, but he just wants to be anywhere else. He doesn't like the house, he doesn't like the isolated location, and he feels pretty rebellious. This house is perfect for that, and I'll probably replace the bunk with a single and move them in. On another note, with the recent growing together expansion, this has triggered this need in me to do an orphanage play-through. Where aside from the caregiving adult(s?), all the sims in the household are a bunch of unrelated kids. But I'm not a great builder (I'm improving, but not satisfactory yet) and most everyone else seems to just build houses for the typical family. I've been looking, and I haven't found any orphanage builds at all, though I've been thinking of converting a nice looking old house. Anyway, you probably get comments like this all the time, but if you ever do feel like making a dedicated orphanage build, I would be all over that, because it would be such a fun challenge to roleplay. I personally don't get attached to sims unless I raise them through childhood, and that makes starting with adults kind of boring.
@@RachelPedd I'm thinking a lot about the potential of the orphanage storyline. Because ultimately, each character, or well, sim, would have their own reasons for being there. I'm thinking a diverse, colourful, perhaps slightly dysfunctional found family. There's the kid who has been there since infancy, and so they know no different and want no different and are well behaved/love the main caregiver greatly, as that's their closest thing to a parental figure. And then there's the kid who was recently left there/abandoned by their family and so deals with their sense of abandonment by acting out. And then there's the kid whose parents and close relatives all died in a terrible tragedy, and so they are constantly weighed down by grief. Perhaps there's an up-beat kid who deals with their lack of parents by pretending to be happy and cheerful, positive and looking to the future, but that's just a coping mechanism to not dwell on their many negative feelings (they are a brilliant actor). Then there's a couple infants (maybe twins?) who are so young and innocent that they don't yet understand their circumstances. I could keep going, but of course there's a household limit. Perhaps two caregivers. An older sim, perhaps high up in the educator career (because money is needed somehow) who is a bit tired of all these kids. He loves them as best he can, but he has given them his all and now he is ready for retirement. And until recently, there hasn't been anyone to replace him. In comes the second caregiver. They are young and passionate, driven and highly empathetic, if a bit clueless about how kids work, but ignorance can be remedied with time. I'm getting carried away by the idea, as usual. But one could play these sims through childhood, highschool, and eventually, when/if they move out, one could transition into rotational gameplay. Perhaps two will be childhood sweethearts. Perhaps one tries to leave it all behind, only to realise they're terribly lonely and moves in with another one of the kids. Perhaps one will decide to stay at the orphanage and become another caregiver. Ect, the potential is there. For now, I'm eyeing off your Dutch Colonial build to convert, because it's slightly formal, an older style (not a suburban), it's large but not a mansion, and there's enough space in the floor plan that I can manage to fit more stuff in there, somehow. I will be removing the white picket fence though, because it just doesn't fit.
I love this cute little cottage so much it looks amazing. I really like how you did the fireplace. I could never figure out how to shape it that way. So now I know to use the roof, so genius. These kinds of houses are my absolute favorite.
This is my second time watching through this video ❤️ I love this build so much, it’s so delightful and full of life! I must say, I have a giggle when you start talking about how warm you feel in your study at 22 degrees - it’s so hot where I live that I start excitedly reaching for jumpers when the temperature drops below 30 😅 I guess it all comes down to what we’re acclimated to! Anyways, absolutely stunning work, love seeing your builds ❤
This is soooooo beautiful and your voice overs make me smile every time. You are such an amazing person and creator. I could never eat ice cream and build but that just shows how incredible you are. is chocolate chip ice cream your favorite? Mine is Kit kat ice cream. Thank you and have the most amazing weekend.
Nice work Rachel, and I'm so glad you enjoyed building it (as well as your ice cream). BTW, I just bought a few neck fans from Amazon so that I don't expire from heat exhaustion when working in the garden, have you tried one?
What sort of family will you be moving in here?
Did you watch the whole video? Because she clearly talks about that - a lot.
@@vingedheart do u not realise that ur replying to Rachel, the owner of this account and the one who made the video- 😭😭

Well, I can’t create Sims very well! Everyone has their strengths :)

I love this build! I love all the overgrown plants and all the colors on the inside really compliment each other! 💖

Kate, you are so sweet! Thank you! 🥰

Love ya too! 💚

That obvious, huh? 😂 I'm glad I could make you feel a bit cosy!
I ADORE that storyline!
I'd definitely be up for trying to build an orphanage.
