    I was 11 years old when my nanna took me to London. We were on the underground and the yids. Came into the carriage. All mouthing off and being disrespectful. We went three stations on and a couple of West ham came in. The first thing that happened was they escorted us civilians up to the next carriage and told us all not to worry.
    I've always held them in high regard since. Thank you.
    My nanna tried to give them a tenner and they just said get me a pint when we see again!
    That is class, thàt is real Men.
    PS I'm a Wrexham supporter.
    Morgan ferral lis my name and I stand with Carton to this day.
    5hank you big man.

      Loads of Essex and Kent still speak like that. They all fled east end and South East in the early 2000's. The accent migrated.

    • @davids6246
      @davids6246 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Totally understand where you are coming from Harry but I've noticed with my customers in town and around Essex which I fit their carpets, have this new wave London slang that never was around 35-40 years ago. the majority of the South East vocab has and is going this way. I've nothing against it but it will be a shame when it disappears completely.

      @@paulharper4196 You are spot on lol I was around all through the 90s when pills were everywhere, it was EXACTLY like that. Coming up was the best ever, this crap pill aint working and you would walk about and chat and then woah, that feeling man as you come up, it is impossible to describe to anyone that has not done pills, the same with speed or coke or mandy etc loool Shit I would never touch any drugs again as I am past all that nonsense but I can not help but miss that feeling loool. Some of the stories and things I remember, standing at a bar as we used to go to pubs first before clubbing and it was almost just like that, music playing and I had done a pill or two and was waiting, having a drink and I turned to my mate and said this pills from that bloke is shit mate, It is doing nothing and just like that my neck and my back man lool and when I looked up again my mates face as he smiled at me made him look like a clown or something, well you know how it goes mate, the rest of the night was awesome lol. I wish we could share stories man as we would both relate to them so well lol. I remember walking home with someone one night and describing the correct way to walk a dog, I bent my knees for some reason and was showing how low you can go to get to the dogs level and somehow with him managed to walk over 2 hours in that position, wanting to make my point known that this is how you walk small dogs, what people must have thought when I walked past like that I have no idea lool Oh well, the list of things that happened and stories are endless. It is a shame we have to get older huh!

    So interested to see Carlton on here! I was in strict Mr Greenstein's form class and French class at secondary school for years 1 and 2 as was Carlton. Carlton could be entertaining and comical at times. I remember him saying out loud in a French lesson one day "Merci beaucoup and a cuppa cocoa" 😆. Mr Greenstein wouldn't have been impressed! If you read this Carlton I'm Jacqui Meakins - a quiet girl who sat by the window!

      @Wristpecked Whamming I presume your American.Some Brits have lead lives which are interesting and outside social norms.Many people find fascination listening to exploits & experiences that are relatable, by location and periods of time.Also its refreshing to hear these stories, that arent distorted by media or typical Amercian bollocks, that is perpetrated by movies.You should probably return to watching more accurate depictions of " real gangsters" such as Sons Of Anarchy.(We call that sarcasm)

    • @coomohit
      @coomohit 5 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @Wristpecked Whamming Not sure if I believed you.Your use of the words "highschool" & "retard" lead me to believe your claim of living near Essex may be untrue.I had lived in Essex for 56 years.Irrespective of which label we choose for Carlton ie Gangster,hooligan etc.He has a story to tell.Many find fascinating.I witnessed Carlton diplomatically and courteously refuse entry to a group at an Essex club many years ago.When his polite attitude,was rebuffed and deemed to be weakness, said group attempted to overide his decision.What followed would leave those lacking in confidence in his abilities, in no doubt.Anyway peace & love from Essex.

      @@SootyHunt it wasn’t even the pill they killed her, they were stronger then she was used to but plenty of people took them and didn’t die, it was her dad forcing her to drink $hitloads of water, she died of water saturation which is basically drowning, it wasn’t her first time taking drugs either she’d done plenty, so I’d blame her father for raising her to do drugs and her father for forcing all that water into her

    Watched a few interviews of Carlton Leach and always comes across like a nice and friendly guy. Is a shame though that he doesn’t seem to have a high standard of morals. Didn’t realise he had 10 children by different women. Both the interviewer and Leach seem to think that it’s just a trivial thing. It isn’t a laughing matter though bringing children into the world by different mothers and the child not having a mother/father unit just so people can “get their end away” and satisfy their sexual desires. I think that’s why people like Lenny McLean and Roy Shaw are so respected; not just because of their reputation but also because of their higher standard of morals.

    Great interview. James has a rare skill in asking good questions and letting the man answer without interrupting. Nice flow. "Carlton Trinidad" lol.

    The bit about Carlton being led of the dancefloor by another bouncer hand I'm hand is hilarious 🤣.
    I'm going to add to this. I'm not really one of those people who idolises criminals and gangsters etc, however the Essex boys case is quite a fascinating one, and I quite enjoyed the rise of the footsoldier films, so this popped up on you tube as I was making jack Daniels sauce as a excuse to drink whisky in front of the missus in the daytime and not get a ear full . And I have to say.. amusing guy, clearly a very interesting life he's had, and all in all a good podcast, although I fucked the jack Daniels sauce as I was laughing to much 🤣. So I see it that Carlton ows me a batch of sauce, I might go collect one of these days.
