after 911 journalism took a huge nose dive, remember how governments such as ours adopted the if your not with us your against us doctrine and they said that goes for the media aswell, true investigative journalism WAS alive and well until then, now the sheeple are well trained , remember how the sheeple attacked non vaxers and NOW many proffessors of medicine world wide and surprisingly MSM are showing what was deliberately hidden, members of my family and freinds ruined for life and no compensation.
its always been this way, we gaurded reporters and i can say what you get on the news is completely different to reality, it was astounding how reporters were told what they can and cant say what they can and cannot report, what stories were cancelled, its an evil world yet the sheeple love to have it so.

It always cracks me up when there are people all over 'The Project's' FB page or YT channel, carrying on about why others even bother to watch the show and so on. Thinking that they're all cool and edgy for not liking the programme.
But yet, there they all are, following or just even simply clicking on 'The Project's' FB posts and YT videos, and often posting their own comments, which is simply adding to the participation of 'The Project's' social media accounts. 🤣🤣🤣

Destroying or defacing Woolworths property doesn't harm the big wigs whatsoever, though.
It only harms the customers who end up paying more for their shopping, so the company makes back the cost of having to repair or replace any damaged or destroyed Woolworths property.
And some people who shop at Woolies truly don't care to get entangled in such political disputes, one way or the other.

    • @nevillewran4083

Rosa, the trolley collectors for Woollies have a special mission. The second they detect such a note, they hit the panic button. Instantly, a drone appears and speeds the notes to the nearest helipad. An express chopper delivers the note to Woolies' board, for which an emergency meeting has been called.

I will also be encouraging my eight kids to shop at Coles too. btw: I spend about $300 pw on shopping. So that's my $15000 worth ...per year. Now is someone still wondering why with the VERY NOTICABLE price gouging Woolies is suddenly virtue signaling on some woke garbage??

Find an IGA if you can, similar price to Coles. Aldi same as Woolies

    • @mebeme007
      @mebeme007 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

Wait until next year, when Coles will catch up and (quietly) join in on the boycott of anything to do with Australia Day, for sure. Since they have been just as vocal in the past about many PC issues, like products being renamed and so on.
But they certainly won't be drawing attention to themselves when they make that decision, either. Considering the way the situation has played out this year.
As far as the price gouging goes. Coles is no better than Woolies, if you want to be honest about it.
After all, they've both been caught out with ripping off their staff for decades.
And they both have mostly jacked up their prices so it's the customers that are paying back the millions of dollars that they've had to repay to their current and former staff members who are entitled to be compensated and back paid what they've been owed for so long.
You don't think the big wigs are kindly paying it all back out of their own bank accounts, do you.

    • @mebeme007

      Precisely.
Anything to get their hands on more cash, even if it means they'll distort their so-called morals against the date to justify making a lot of cash.
A mere "Welcome to Country" costs anything between $300 and $750.
And a simple "Smoking Ceremony" can cost anywhere between $700 to $1,500.
Then there are also some other stipulations, such as including a didgeridoo player can be an extra $300. Whilst conducting the ceremony outside of business hours can cost an extra $112.
Some particular news outlets and press have made claims about much larger fees in the past.
However, they never offered any legitimate evidence to prove that in some cases, they're being paid a lot more to conduct those so-called ceremonies.
Whilst they've also distorted the figures, by quoting lump sums for multiple ceremonies over a period of time, as if it were the cost of a single held ceremony for that much higher price.
That being said, indigenous people were NEVER paid to perform either ceremony until recently.
But now they expect to get paid in cash to do those ceremonies, despite some claiming that they cannot put a monetary measurement on what those ceremonies are worth.
      Bunch of hypocrites.

Mr Mundine you could not have said it better. There is massive division on Australia day. This shouldnt be the case as this is a day to celebrate AUSTRALIA, All our people, cultures, food, friends and family. However, I am very patriotic and I won't be supporting supermarkets that don't support Australia day so good bye Woolworths you just lost a devoted customer forever

5:39 It is quite appropriate for politicians to call for the boycotts of private businesses when said private business - in this case in the form of a multi-billion dollar supermarket brand - to involve itself _with_ politics by donating funds in support of one side of a national political issue and debate.

Jacinta Price has such a great, practical outlook. I like her more every time she speaks.
CAPTAIN COOK AND THE FIRST FLEET
Captain Cook landed in Sydney on the 28th of April, 1770, and claimed the east coast of the Australian continent for Britain, naming it New South Wales.
The first boat of the First Fleet landed at Botany Bay on 18 January, 1788, but the Fleet then later moved to Port Jackson (what became Sydney).
    THE NAMING OF AUSTRALIA
January 1st 1900 was not the day that Australia was named. It was the day that the Commonwealth of Australia was formed by the federation of six British colonies: New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania
The name Australia was derived from the Latin word australis, meaning “southern”, and was used to refer to the hypothetical landmass in the south pole, known as Terra Australis.
The name Australia was first suggested by the English explorer Matthew Flinders in 1804, who circumnavigated the continent and drew a map of it. He preferred the name Australia over New Holland, which was the name given by the Dutch in the 17th century.
The name Australia was officially adopted by the British Admiralty in 1824, and was used in British legislation in 1828. The name Commonwealth of Australia was formalised in the Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act 1900, which was passed by the UK Parliament.
January 1st, 1901 was the day that the Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act 1900 came into effect.
Aboriginals never had a name for their country. There were several hundred separate tribes, most of which had their own language. The only names were the Aboriginal names for their various regions, roughly defined as their “hunting grounds” which were vigorously defended from invasion by neighboring tribes.
    JANUARY 26th
The relevance of January 26th is when the National and Citizenship Act 1948 was proclaimed. This was the first day we all became Australians. Before that, all citizens, including Aboriginals born after 1921 were called "British Subjects."
Prior to this time, the various British colonies in Australia all had their own “Australia Day”, which was celebrated on a range of dates - see image.
The excuses for calling Australia Day (26th January) “Invasion Day”, based on the supposition that the date was either Captain Cook’s first landing, or the arrival of the First Fleet, are simply WRONG!
    CONCLUSION
“The 26th of January is a great day for all of us. It is the day that Australians received their citizenship. The day which celebrates the implementation of the Nationality and Citizenship Act of 1948, when we all became Australians in our own right. An Act giving freedom and protection to all Australians, old and new, the right to live under the protection of Australian Law, as a united nation.
Now, this annual date for a national celebration each year on January 26th is important. So, let’s just celebrate the day for what it is, the fact that we are Australians in our own right.”
And not talk of changing it for all the wrong reasons

Well, they at least had the courage to leave their comments on! When will labor realise they need to tell coporates to stay out of politics? They are not elected leaders - tell them to butt right out, and while they are doing it, tax the corporate leaders a bit more so they give a bit of their income theft back to everyone else in the country! Tell them to do their job...and STFU. Corporate involvement in political issues in completely innappropriate.

They shouldn't be selling the Australian flag because they aren't Australian. Remember; how the Dairy farmers were treated, price gouging during covid, and the deliberate wage theft of hardworking employees like you and me.
These large organisations reach into your pockets without permission and take your hard earned wages. And their supporters complain because you no longer want to give them your money. My money, my choice.

As an Indigenous Australian, let me say this, Mundine doesn’t speak for all Indigenous Australians, it’s well known in our communities that he is not a good man, he has sold off housing and land occupied by Aboriginal-Australians for decades, displaced his own people and made money off doing so. And although he does make some good pints about being patriotic, the non-indigenous community really shouldn’t take everything he says as speaking for all Aboriginal people, because he doesn’t.

I think some intelligent people are well aware that no single indigenous person speaks for all indigenous people.
Just as no one single indigenous person in the comments section of a YT video, can actually speak on behalf of so many people "in our communities".
It's only fools that think a single person can speak for an entire demographic or so many "in our communities", acting like they're the actual expert spokesperson who supposedly has contact with many thousands or even tens of thousands of indigenous people, to claim to know what they're all genuinely thinking and feeling about the subject of debate.
But, there does seem to be far too many of those fools about, unfortunately.
Since so many people foolishly blame and put down all people on the left or all people on the right, every single time issues like this are brought up in the press and media.
For example, assuming that all on the left are all for changing the date, or that it's supposedly only people on the right who apparently want to keep the date.
Anyone with some rational intelligence knows that there is a plethora of people in the centre who swing either way, depending on the individual topics and issues.
