She is very well spoken and confident when she is talking about things. I also like how she is upfront and honest about things she doesn’t know. She just admits that she doesn’t know or she is unsure when asked about certain things. She doesn’t try to pretend that because she was once a Goddess she knows everything or doesn’t even care what people might think if she says she doesn’t know having been a Kumari once. Such a positive soul!! 💓 We need more honest people like these today.. 😊

I think the whole experience of her being ex goddess and how she got adapted to this modern environment and the way she express that is amazingly beautiful.
We can't even adapt when the season is changing and she has to get adapted to a whole new life. It's overwhelming and she explained that experience so beautifully..
And the way of showing our culture in this podcast is like preserving our culture. So many people don't knw about kumari. I think this video may help to give knowledge to them who are unknown.
And one day I would like to visit kumari and worship her.

9:10 As the story goes The King (Jayprakash Malla) used to play Tripasa with Goddess Taleju in secret. One day while playing, he had sensual desires towards her after which she disappeared never to be seen in her true form again. His only penance would be to build a temple in her name where she would reside as a virgin girl until she comes of age.

There is a common perception that the role of being a Kumari deprives young girls of their rights as children. However, what people fail to consider is the fact that the entire country, government, and even the girl's own parents worship her as a divine figure. While in the past, there were certain aspects like education and socialization that were lacking, these have improved significantly over time. From my perspective, I believe that being a Kumari is a privilege for girls, as they are treated with reverence and regarded as living goddesses, unlike an ordinary girl.

She is so defensive toward Kumari tradition and says it should be preserved. But had it been preserved the way it was 50 years ago, she would not have been speaking like the way she is now. She is where she is and how she is because of the voices that asked for the changes.

Don't know how, why Coz when I went to the channel (I don't remember reason as well 😅) and this video was just uploaded 6 min ago with 12 viewers and I start to listen to this and I don't know how the time went by. So much Intersting, knowledgable thing One could just listen to it. Hope sushant bro will not try to eat mic as sanjay bro in sanjay bro's podcast in future. They should not forget they are host of the channel so they can be in every video they doesn't have to shout on mic. Like in every video guess will stay in 15-20 inch distance and host always tried to chew the mic and I go like WHYYYYY. Listening to the story by Chanira was so good I was in full imagination, feeling so good and then suddenly host start to shout in earsss commonnnnn. PLEASE STOP THAT

Bruh you got to do some frigging research, you can't just grill the participant. Just not fair. You need to throw some of your research then along with the research try to connect with her knowledge. I understand people will hate me for this comment. But I am just not feeling cool about your strategy to produce a podcast. #rant
On the other side, yes it's a massive knowledge shared. #optimism

I felt the same too. This podcast is undoubtedly a gem but Sushant could have done more research and asked variety of questions rather than asking her about the 'challenges of being kumari' multiple times throughout the podcast.
Anyways, it was great to hear something that isn't found easily in mainstream media.

I have a question. If y'all know this please feel free to answer.
Why after getting her periods the Kumari is replaced?

Because this tradition revolves around little childrens as its name suggest.
So period is considered as a child stepping into adulthood.

Its because Kumari's strength/power is blood. The selected child should never shred any blood from her body and it has to remain within her for her to have power of the goddess. There's a book as well that has described everything about Kumari.
