I think Mouth and Brooke were such an underrated friendship. Really Mouth was such an underrated character. He was fiercely loyal and had the biggest heart.
Ohhh noo, i respectfully disagree. I always disliked mouth. To me he came across as incredibly manipulative and (as we would say nowadays) problematic. He literally smashed Brookes car when he realised she only loved him as a friend. He basically pressured Shelly into having sex with him after she was no longer a 'clean teen' ... and you cant say he grew out of it after high school because even in the later seasons... the way he shamed Millie for how she chose to lose her own virginity?! Ugh. To me he was always a horrible person... sorry for all the negativity haha

We want a ONE TREE HILL movie or reunion series. I’m in my 40’s and this show got me through some really dark losses. And to this day I never forgot that and still watch it. ❤️❤️❤️
I feel the same. I watched the show back then when I was a kid and because of Corona I lost my job. It might sound unrealistic but this show truely healed my soul and let me believe again in the good things of life ❤
Interesting that she felt her and sophia's characters were the love story of the show....i felt that was the strongest relationship in the show and it suffered when hilary left and poor Brooke was on her own ...it was a different show after that
Yep, I also don’t like how after hilarie left, they wrote the friendship as “not as strong as they thought it was” like missing her wedding and the birth of her children etc.. and kinda made it look like Peyton was pretty selfish, but after the mark thing came out it makes sense.. he was probs pissed as hell that he couldn’t harass her anymore. I loved that they showed Haley and Brooke’s friendship, but they way he dismissed the other friendship was sad

This is one of my favourite interviews ever now. I love the way Hilarie put it, they grew up together and found one another in vital years of their growing up. Really cool to see him in person. Brought back so many memories. Glad they all stayed close! This makes me wanna binge watch it all over again! Go Ravens!!
its so surreal because I was just bingeing ONE TREE from season 1 to season 6 during the pandemic and it's also surreal that Hilarie is on youtube like that her scenes from One Tree Hill on youtube with the social media was basically the pioneer to this concept of what my generation now has today
One tree hill has been my favourite show since before puberty and I always liked how the guys on the show generally seems like they looked at their partners as equals and it just warms my heart so much to know that the actors portraying those characters had the same values. So many men in Hollywood watched as people more powerful than them abused women and although it breaks my heart that these women also had that experience, it is just so great to know those guys backed them up.
I will agree one tree hill wasn't the same after Peyton and Lucas left. I didn't like the way Peyton and Brooke's friendship seemed to have dissolved considered that they were on good terms in 5 and 6

Many have tried to say Haley and Brooke were the better friends but that was a result of Hilarie leaving the show. To me, the show went downhill when Hilarie and Chad left. I always felt that Lucas/Peyton relationship was the heart of the show. Even though Lucas dated Brooke and then almost married Lindsey, and Peyton had her thing with Jake, there was always a strong emotional bond between them.
Agreed, eventhough I wasn't a big fan of Lucas/Peyton's relationship. They were the show! I didn't think their loss in the show would affect me greatly, but it did. Which I why I quit after the 6th season. And yeah, I think Peyton was better off with Jake instead of Lucas. Lucas was better off with Brooke.

I didn't start watching OTH until season 5 and loved it. Now I'm rewatching the show from the beginning so I can see everything I missed and I'm so sad I didn't watch it from the beginning way back. It's such a great show, even for me who just turned 41.

Oh man. This show got me through some awfully hard times. It gave me hope and I found a strength in Peyton that I tried to find in myself. I know it wasn't " real" but ..to me..it definitely helped. I honestly feel like if Hilarie and Chad had stayed with the show, it could’ve lasted a lot more seasons with them giving birth to Sawyer and also Hayley becoming pregnant the next season after, we could’ve seen them as parents and seen Jamie with his little siblings grow up. But with Lucas and Peyton gone, there really wasn’t much left go on. Yes, I love Brooke and Hayley and Nathan and all the characters but the relationship between Lucas and Nathan was pretty much the main plot. And with Lucas gone, It was like he just left Nathan. Especially the last season, it should’ve been Dan and Lucas working together to get Nathan. Peyton should’ve been there to comfort Hayley during that time. Even The relationship with Peyton and Brooke, with Peyton gone Brooke has to face a lot of things on her own. It was like they built that bond and relationship with the audience and then just ripped it. I wish they had a better environment to work in and better production team who didn’t treat them like shit. I wish they would have a One Tree Hill reunion show! I didn’t watch the show when it was airing for the first time because I was also in my 20s and having children working and way too busy to ever watch TV. But I am suffering from a terrible disease now and so watching TV helps me get my mind off of the pain I feel in my body every day. Just getting into that show focusing on something other than what life has dealt me was really nice. I will wait for a little while and then watch it again. I have a head injury so my memory is very short term. The upside in that is I forget things I watch in a matter of a couple of months so everything is new to me again. 😝 Glass half full! right 🤷🏼♀️
My first intro to OTH was Brooke's 'unique' voice. Peyton always seemed like one of those girls where a guy would be too intimidated to ask her out lol. She always seemed so intimidating and kind of dark. But as a guy, Peyton always seemed like the girl who was strong on the outside but had real 'mystery' on the inside. I think that's what was so attractive about her. She also seemed 'androgynous' but like someone who once they 'locked' onto you, there was no going back for them.

They didn't let any boy come between them, they supported each other, they never said anything that couldn't be taken back. At the end of the day you had trust that Haley and Brooke would not hurt each other on purpose. That they would look out for each other. Can't say that about Breyton. Idc that Peyton and Brooke have been friends longer. Quality over quantity.
but inspite of the pain that they both inflicted on each other they forgave each other and grew as people and friends because of it and when it really mattered they did come together. like any relationship they had to fight through the rough times. its not always going to be sunshine. yes, Brooke and Hailey didn't fight but Hailey wasnt there for Brooke when she really needed someone well not until Hilarie left the show. Brooke was their for Hailey when they were roomates but hailey was just so worried about her relationship with Nathan that she didnt become an actual bestfriend to Brooke until after Peyton left.

Little late to answer this question but I just need to comment on this. I am not actress and I have completely regular job where lot of things sucks and one of these "things" is my colleague who is constantly making inappropriate fun of me but even I am quiet about it because I am scared me coming out with this would make everything only worse and you know I need a job. I am pretty sure it is even worse for young actors to talk about something like this because Mark was already a person with influence. By coming out they would not only risk their job on OTH but also their whole carriers. He is not the only producer in Hollywood who acts this way. It is definitely much more complex problem than it seems. Just my perspective on topic.

lol. No. Peyton's and Brooke's friendship was not the heart of the show. That friendship was so toxic. Brooke and Haley to me were the real deal. They didn't let any boy come between them, they supported each other, they never said anything that couldn't be taken back. At the end of the day you had trust that Haley and Brooke would not hurt each other on purpose. That they would look out for each other. Can't say that about Breyton. Idc that Peyton and Brooke have been friends longer. Quality over quantity.
but inspite of the pain that they both inflicted on each other they forgave each other and grew as people and friends because of it and when it really mattered they did come together. like any relationship they had to fight through the rough times. its not always going to be sunshine. yes, Brooke and Hailey didn't fight but Hailey wasnt there for Brooke when she really needed someone well not until Hilarie left the show. Brooke was their for Hailey when they were roomates but hailey was just so worried about her relationship with Nathan that she didnt become an actual bestfriend to Brooke until after Peyton left.
@@natalieybarra5207 Oh trust. I'm not saying that everything was perfect with Baley. I'm saying that at the end of the day you knew deep down that Baley would be okay. That they would work on their friendship and actually grow from it. They would not repeat the same mistakes against each other. They cared enough to keep working on it. You never doubted the commitment to the friendship.
I guess, that you don't have that person who knows everything about you...

And how can they? When the trust was not always there. A lot of the drama that they had would've never happen had they've been the type of friends who confide in each other.

maybe because the whole production would take a hit and hundreds of people would be out of a job and maybe beacause they didn't want the world to know they were harrassed and they were young actresses who didn't have a voice or who didn't know how to use it. it was his words against theirs. and also ... because it's humiliating and frustrating.
He threatened their jobs. They were all young and didn't want to lose their jobs and for the crew to lose their jobs. Also people did not speak up about it back then because they felt like if they did they would never work again. So that's why. Mark did everything they said. He is an awful person.
A lot of stuff was going on in those days that nobody reported cause they were worried it would full on end their careers. And it’s a sad thing that people in power take advantage of young people that are new to everything. They should be completely ashamed of themselves
Little late to answer this question but I just need to comment on this. I am not actress and I have completely regular job where lot of things sucks and one of these "things" is my colleague who is constantly making inappropriate fun of me but even I am quiet about it because I am scared me coming out with this would make everything only worse and you know I need a job. I am pretty sure it is even worse for young actors to talk about something like this because Mark was already a person with influence. By coming out they would not only risk their job on OTH but also their whole carriers. He is not the only producer in Hollywood who acts this way. It is definitely much more complex problem than it seems. Just my perspective on topic.
