Never mind Produce48, AKB48 has been producing hit songs way before that. The funny thing is a lot of people got introduced to AKB48 thru Heavy Rotation's video, and they got the wrong impression. AKB48 has a lot of songs in many different styles. Some are cute, some are light-hearted, some are sad, some have very deep meanings in their lyrics.

I don't know also what's with people not liking ''cute''? I guess humans nowadays retrograde if not liking good things.. nevertheless prejudice is the worst thing, and judging something without even knowing anything about it is such an stupid thing. AKB48 is worth many, and anyone who tried out WHOLE discography can agree, despite if not songs matching everyone's taste but they HAVE songs for EACH taste which shows their diversity x) they only miss one kawaii metal song to be complete totally in trying out various concepts and gernes ~
To be honest, I like AKB48 during its early inception because of the sugary pop style I like. Songs like Baby! Baby! Baby! and Yūhi o Miteiru ka? are great examples when Maeda was center.
I say any songs from 2005 to 2016 is a must to listen to. For new people I say it would be good to start from the beginning since there are many great song from there.

Ippome ondou for the traditional is actually a good song for new fans to appreciate the group since it shows that the group can also pull off such genre.. But my personal favorite choudai darling must be included as well.. Both songs even if different in genre.. Are gems as well. Hehehe

hmm, quite a few notable songs not here despite the video having a lot of songs(idk where to begin with to list out songs that i think should be in so...). and people who didn't pay super detailed attention would think there's like one sister group since the rest were barely present in the vid even though they have good songs too. but still thanks for the compilation anyway. i still got a preview of quite a number of songs from this. like many newer fans i got to know them from pd48(though i already heard of their name prior to that, and though i couldn't watch even halfway of pd48, as usual with the show...once all my favs eliminated/out, i'm out so i never watched the finale but i like the vibe of Jurina so much, i went to do my research.)
