I had hoped to upload this in HD but my internet makes that dream unpractical.
I'm not gna lie. I used to LIVE for the Sylvia Brown episodes of Montel. They were my favorite episodes even as a child and adolescent. She was a trip lol. 💯😌💜💫

Sylvia Browne was a complete PHONY. An independent investigator Robert Shaffer reviewed predictions by Browne, as well as predictions whose outcomes had been earlier classified as undetermined but were then largely resolved. According to Shaffer, Browne was mostly or completely wrong in 33 cases and most accurate in none. Browne told the mother of Amanda Berry (who was kidnapped and held captive with two other women in a house in Cleveland) that she was dead and likely "underwater". Berry's mother died two years after this heartbroken about her daughter who then a few more years later turned up very much alive. Willimas was a jerk for promoting this phony

I remember seeing this on May 21, 2008. It was my 10th birthday, and I saw it on UPN 9 that afternoon at 4pm.
Weeknights 5pm on FOX 5 (1991-96)
Weekdays 11am & 2pm on UPN 9 (1996-2001, then 11am on FOX 5 (2001-08)
meanwhile on WWOR 3pm from 2001-2002, then UPN 9 moved MONTEL back to 2pm from 2002-03, then UPN moved Ricki Lake
to 4pm, so Montel moved to 5pm weeknights on UPN 9 (2003-04), then Ricki Lake pulled the plug in May 2004, so WWOR moved Montel into Ricki's spot (4pm) yet again, where it stayed until the finale on May 23, 2008, then Judge Joe Brown moved back to UPN 9 into the 4pm slot. Montel was on Fox 5 where it began and started showing up on WWOR in September 1996, then WNYW Fox5 bought WWOR UPN9 in 2001, so Montel moved back to Fox5 mornings only, and UPN afternoons. From May 26, 2004-May 23, 2008, Montel aired on WNYW Fox5 at 11AM and WWOR UPN9 at 4pm. I always watched the afternoon runs on UPN 9, of course.

I found Sylvia Browne in 1994, I was going through so much turbulence, and that I had dreams and visions that I needed guidance. Also, this was around the time I left traditional religion.

Montel was the most genuine &empathetic talk show host ever. I was so upset when the show wrapped up. Sylvia Browne is also one of my favorite people. I can't believe they took the show off the air. Everything in North America changed around that time. The wholesome daytime television was just coming to an end, making way for the insanity we see on tv amd online now.. I miss the compassion he hadfor his guests. Nowadays a lot of the hosts don't care about their guests and it's obvious.. Montel was articulate and compassionate with his guests. I miss that in a talk show host. And watching all the way back to my childhood when I was getting visits with my Grandmother. We always watched Montel, rescue 911, America's most wanted, and Oprah. Brings back so many beautiful memories..

I remember loving the Sylvia Browne episodes and would have my mom tape them while I was at school. I can't say if everything she wrote was true, but it's what I wish it would be like on the Other Side and there's something about her writing style that stands out to me. RIP Sylvia.
I attended one of Montel's shows where Sylvia Browne was a Guest. As you usual with her on the show, she took audience questions including myself. I can tell you 1st hand, this woman had a gift. The stuff she was telling me & other audience members that day you can't just guess. People get the whole "psychic" thing all wrong. Being a psychic doesn't mean they know everything, all the time. They too can be off & very off. Doesn't take away from their gift. Some of the greatest singers have off night where they sound like crap. It happens. No gift is 100% on point all the time. Also sometimes its on ourselves. So if she told a person they would do well in the medical field & they decide to become an auto-mechanic instead & they don't do well. Then that would be on them, not on the psychic. At the end of the day, we all have free will to determine how we all want to live our lives.

@@tamilewis9608 Yeah the thing is most people's view or understanding of a psychic is from TV/Hollywood. I find that most people who criticize psychics have never even seen one. I mean there have been major university studies where people who claim to have psychic or clairvoyant ability have been hookup to machines & the machines shows their brain frequencies vibrate at a completely different almost abnormal level, for lack of better terms, when they are channeling. Many people want to point out the many times Sylvia was wrong, but they never talk about the countless times she was right on the money when she appeared on many shows not only Montel's for over 30plus years.
I used to love watching Sylvia. But there were things that just didn’t ring right. Now after doing all the research, we find out she was not a real medium. She told one mother her daughter was dead & to stop looking for her. Even though the mother said she can feel her daughter. Turns out her daughter was alive & was found. So many things she had said that never came true. I feel bad for all the people who had readings from her☹️☹️

I saw Sylvia in person and she was great . I am a strong believer in God and can see things myself. I will say this we are all human so no one but God can be a 100% right. But she was no fake.
She plagiarized the "prediction" from a Dean Koontz book from the 1980s, word for word. Shes a fraud, her husband tells the story of how she started "reading" ppl. Total fraud. Believe me, I was crushed when I found out. :-/

Savanah Tiemann , I worked with Sylvia’s sister at TWA, she as well had abilities to see in the future. Unbeknown to her she advised me to leave my husband as he was going to kill me. I was not wearing my ring nor hadn’t been for awhile, never mentioned I was married but I did sign my divorce papers that day. Because I was a flight attendant I never stayed with him again. She reassured me my feelings were correct, since I too get feelings or messages from time to time. I was a firm believer from that point.

I do miss The Montel Williams Show, I use to watch Sylvia on it every Wednesday. I often wander how her predictions turned out for all these people. RIP Sylvia Browne. I do think she did a lot of good in making many people feel better.
It’s too bad. Grief is so overwhelming and you want to believe so bad. I feel very sad for the woman who lost her daughter to an overdose of sleeping pills that had a private reading. She doesn’t even realize that she’s feeding her all of the information. I understand that the show is edited with highlights to cut time but if you really pay attention you can see that anything she comes up with is nothing that can ever be proven. The poor woman doesn’t realize that Sylvia is just going along with the conversation she’s not telling her anything because she doesn’t know. I truly believe that the few people out there that are asking about jobs and what not and tell Sylvia that that’s the career path that they are on are actors. Because there’s not very many of them. And the woman that feels like someone’s around her it’s probably a family member but it’s so easy to just throw in spirit guide. If she is real, which I doubt then they should’ve done better edits with television. She does write well. They are very good books and they are interesting to read and really open your mind up to the possibilities of the other side. She gets her information from other mediums, from people that have had near death experiences and throws in her imagination.
I was a big fan in the day. On night I had a dream years ago. Sylvia & I were in Spain. Sylvia was dancing with the gypsys, she wore a red dress with a big skirt, I never saw anyone dance like that, she was ferocious. fabulous, wild, incredible. I think I can still hear the music when I look at her. After that dream I danced for days. I thought I would love to go to Spain with this woman, so I could see her dance. I think she is sagittarius, and I reasonably heard it is the sign of the dancer. I have a few of her books. Still a big big fan. Sylvia Browne was amazing. My belief is she was genuine. Just because some people don't believe in her abilities doesn't make her a fraud (or the other nasty names some of you chose to use). I've followed Sylvia's work for almost 20 years and she was right more times than she is wrong...and there are thousands of people who can attest to her capabilities.

+Robin List I always thought it was silly to all of a sudden be okay with someone because they're sick or dead. Actions have consequences. Don't get me wrong. There is a certain amount of respect everyone should be treated with. There are things that nullify that respect. I don't know if Sylvia did or not.
I've read a few of her books. I like her books. I've seen her in person when she did a live show. I enjoyed the show. I think I respect her work and her as an author. But as a public figure, not so much. I think you have to take what she says with a grain of salt. I believe what she says in her books more than I believe what she says in shows like this video.

off a Lake Erie pier my friends & I frequented. My mom & friends would do readings for each other.

My friends who I was with pulled the car over to go swimming because it was a hot summer. I sat and watched, and then my friends teased and joked, and so against my own better judgement I jumped in! It felt like something pulled me under, and deeper, and that scared me so I went into the shallows nearby. It's a circle of shallow water waist deep and stayed there while they all were diving off the piers.
The next day the body of a drowned woman was found in the shallows right where I was! My mom already knew & they explained it could've been the drowned woman's energy around mine. I have seen too many things not to believe. Many people will say whatever- but 3 days before Gina was found I passed a msg. to her aunt/cousin that she would be found alive. Her aunt called me an "angel" because they deliver messages. I got the call from her cousin 3 days later & many happy tears!

Well I don't think you're crazy I have had weird things happen I've seen it too many times before to start going blind now so I can't/ won't be able to tell if Sylvia browne is real or not I found one of her books and tried one of the exercises in it and it actually worked! It was a medium- dark pink book about healing yourself with in I've noticed cycles in my life too
