Man I was 15/16 my brother brought "we are urusei yatsura" and i was hooked. Loved this band. I haven't listened since around 2007, what a treat playing the cd's again.
Elaine is always so admirably statuesque, so focused on her instrument. As if she’s the only (uhm, standing) band member who actually only cares about the music, while Fergus & Graham get busy fooling around, trying to entertain the audience. She’s a veritable Cleopatra of bass guitar. Everytime I watch these shows I fall in love w/ her anew. Thanks for posting this stuff, RGR.
Totally superb, especially seeing Majesty in the set. Yatsura had some cracking b-sides, from start to finish, this being one of them. Fond memories of the two times I saw them, both in Glasgow- The Arches, and King Tuts.
Really? I dunno how I've missed that. They might have possibly played there before I knew about them. It was a friend who introduced me to their music around 1997. Bums :-(
