12:10 to answer you, we go out late like after the Isha prayer which is around 8pm and the peak is around midnight. Also I have to mention that mostly we go out to sights like beach front and albalad on weekends, it's tough to work until 5 or 6pm and mind many of your personal and family obligations and have time to spare to go out to places like these.
Many tourists come to Saudi Arabia to see heritage villages and some archaeological sites and landmarks, but if you ask them why Saudis believe in Islam, they will not be able to answer. Tourism is a cultural experience that involves deepening the understanding of the reasons for faith and the reasons for difference, I think reading the book Al-Tawhid by Muhammad Abdul-Wahhab will help many people understand the reason for the establishment of the first Saudi state.
For me, my trip to Saudi Arabia was about more than just tourism. As someone who has traveled to many Islamic countries and has a deep respect for Islam, I came to here to learn more and to experience. For that reason, my visit to the holy city of Madinah was the central point and most important part of my trip (that will be covered in my next video). Reading Al-Tawhid by Muhammad Abdul-Wahhab could indeed be interesting for me. I hope you enjoy my videos in Saudi Arabia, and I hope they can play their own small part in showing the good of Saudi Arabia's culture and of Islam.
I suspect the reason you didn't find many people after sunset is because of prayer times, at sunset you have a prayer and about an hour later you have the 'Isha' prayer.. you'll probably find more people after Isha
I think that's the case for around that time but also true as some others said that people come out later in the evening still, and not really on certain days.
@@ChrisKermis Chris, just type New Jeddah Corniche in Google. It should show up. It's also where the Formula 1 Race happens. In case you are planning on visiting Madinah, do get in touch with us...my husband and I would love to show you around the city.
That's certainly something I somehow didn't think of on that first Saturday in Saudi Arabia. I guess to me I also see a walk along by the sea as a great activity the day before the working week starts again!
So enjoyed everything about Jeddah. The food looked absolutely delicious, the trouble was it wasn’t me eating it! Everywhere so clean, fantastic place and look forward to seeing more.
I enjoyed the video, the reason of why there is no body in the corniche is because there is a new one opened a couple of months ago in Obhr, north of Jeddah.
(albalad ) It is beautiful, but after the afternoon it is crowded with people and at night as well, not noon. I also advise you to visit Shebara Island in the Red Sea. It is amazing and distinctive. You will be amazed when you see it, and the historic city of Al-Ula. Riyadh has the wonderful and largest Riyadh season in the world. It is amazing.
@Gh_09- Thanks for the tips. I did visit Al-Ula after Madinah, it was amazing and there'll be a video coming from there in a couple of weeks time. I also visited Riyadh although I couldn't finish making a video there sadly. It's very safe to say though that I will need to return to Saudi Arabia before too long.
@@ChrisKermis Of course, Riyadh deserves days to be able to visit it properly. Also, the Riyadh Metro was opened on December 1 to facilitate the transportation process for tourists.
@Gh_09- I saw some of the metro stops looking almost ready to go when I was there. It’ll be great to see that operational and not have to rely on driving
Hey Chris We all avoid the sun during the daylight hours even in winter time but winter is the best time to go out in the evening and temp varies from us and the rest of the GCC.
I can certainly understand why. When you're making videos it's good to be out in daylight though. At least it wasn't as hot in Saudi Arabia as it was in a couple of the places I visited after!
Fish aren't the cheapest options in KSA, certainly, especially in places like Al Balad, as it's considered to be a touristy area. Unfortunately, you didn't try Sayadia rice, hommar sauce, and a lot of tahina with your fish. It gives it a whole lot of added flavors. 😅 Furthermore, FYI, middle/east/west of Saudi Arabia is meant to be visited between Nov-March, waaay better weather. Either way, glad you enjoyed your visit. 🙏
@@Argon_OR What I can say is that pretty much everything I ate in Jeddah was really good. That lamb later in the video topped it all for me. As you say I didn't go at the best time of year, but you have to take the opportunities you have in life and at that time a chance opened up for me. It was still way better than 48c in Kuwait City later in the trip!
Welcome to my Country, Saudi Arabia
Thank you
I was waiting for this vlog for long......
I hope you enjoyed it when it finally arrived! More is coming from Saudi Arabia soon
I’ve wanted to travel to Jedda for a while now, I will 100% go later next year
I really enjoyed my visit to Saudi. Do check out my coming videos for some other places not so far from Jeddah
I advise you to come between (December until April)
What a beautiful architecture. A nice quiet place. Good and tasty food it seems. I am hungry again,.. Beautiful video again, thanks Chris!👌👍
Thank you 🙏🏽 It was certainly a pretty relaxed time in Jeddah and the food totally made it!

It sounds like I'll need to adjust my hours a little more next time I come to Saudi Arabia. Thank you for the information.

Thank you, I am happy that you like what I have made in Jeddah. More will be coming from Saudi Arabia.
I used to live in Jeddah a long time ago
good choice of music this is a mix from saudi and syrian style music at the start
Good to hear, it's always hard to choose the right music

For the hustle and bustle you have to go to new corniche.
It’s a shame I didn’t know about that when I was there. How do I find it on Google Maps?

Thank you! I didn't know that about Obhr. Well, with so many miles of sea and corniche there's a great distance for people to spread out

Thank you. This was taken earlier in the year but I will certainly return to Saudi Arabia, I would love to see more.
I enjoyed the video. I am a new Saudi subscriber.
Great to hear having just started on my Saudi videos. It's a country I will very likely return to before long

If there isn't a restaurant called Jeddah Gorge, you have to suggest it when you go again
🤦
But school days won’t be out
It’s pronounced as “ jih’da” not jedaa
Later aka 9pm it will busy
I defined to stay out later next time I’m in Saudi Arabia
Dear, the correct spelling be used a name is Makkah. not Mecca
Yes, while I spelt it as Mecca to use the name which is more universally known worldwide, I agree that it should be changed and have done so.
كان مبلغ ال 500- ريال من اجل سمكه واحد كبير جدا
100 Saudi Riyal*, not USD.
100$ for a fish, that's too expensive. Maximum I could afford is 10$. I hope it was worth it.
That wasn't $100, I'm not made of money! It was about 20 Euro after converting from Saudi Riyal.
@@ChrisKermis oh ok. I thought the scale showed in USD 7:13
