I just started reading the Witcher books again and thought "I feel like watching Cohh play the game again as well". Not remembering a thing - especially about WItcher 1, since I didn't even know it was based on books then - I just now realized the intro is basically an exact interpretation of the very first story in The Last Wish.

I dont know why but it seems to me like the dialogues are way shorter compared to the polish version, almost like they were being cut out before the end.

3400fps seems about right for Witcher 1. With the PC you have? Absolutely. I have a middle of the road PC and still get between 100 and 700fps average.
theglum slum What GPU do you have? That sounds like a hardware problem, because more frames per second don't cause noise unless it's the fans speeding up.
7670m, but its always been that way, far longer than a year now. And only happens when the framerate _far_ exceeds my monitors so its not a problem. I just turn on vsync and it is locked at 60fps actually, the sound starts at around 400fps not 200. its a high pitched buzz, not very loud.

My GPU usually starts making weird noises when the framerate goes above 200 fps, in menus and stuff.

theglum slum Oh, I don't have a lot of experience with mobile GPUs. I just know the desktop ones aren't supposed to ever make noise like that.
+Nimble Bolt its coil whine, GPUs do it all the time, look at the GTX970. its not necessarily good but with certain GPUs its normal.
I dont know how anyone slogs thru the mechanics of witcher 1.. thank god we have lets plays for games like this.. u couldnt pay me to play it...
